14th-Jun-2012 02:31 am - Childhood trauma
sechstel: (and the point is?)
Who: Demyx & Zexion (Faris if he wants to join)
Where: Demyx's place
When: Afternoon, around the time Vani's floods show up
Style: I'll match.
Status: Closed

Once again a large shadowy portal opened into Demyx's living room and once again, Zexion exited from it, however this time, he wasn't injured in any way, unless you cared to mark old childhood traumas which had risen from their supposed grave to take hold of the man. The blue eyes carried a trace of the fright which had driven him to seek company so as to distract himself from the blue creatures which skittered about the plaza currently. He could only hope they'd be dealt with in short order and that no more would appear to take their place.

Closing the portal behind him, he allowed himself to fall into the recliner chair he saw and pulled his legs up against him into the seat, so as to wrap his arms around them. It was a foolish thing that he let something so small and likely just as weak as a shadow drive him into such a state, but as pathetic as it might seem, he couldn't help the fear which rose up when he'd first laid eyes on the creatures again.

When: May 28th, afternoon.
Where: The Plaza

Warning: Skinny white guy butt.

[It's that time of the month again, when the plaza plays host to a few new arrivals. They're usually confused, scared, or angry, and it is not uncommon for there to be some yelling. However, what comes from the area now is a string of profanities so heartfelt it's probably stripping the bark off the trees up on the island, not to mention what harm it's causing local property values, if property values were really a thing around here.]

[A new arrival landed in the plaza with the customary splash of seawater. A human male, hairless and covered in a variety of tattoos. He's wearing a very odd pair of sunglasses, and a strange set of sneakers. Unfortunately for anybody present he's not wearing anything else. It seems a few items arrived with him, and lacking in clothing his entire inventory is also... exposed. Besides the shoes and glasses his arrival included a typewriter of some strange make, a pack of cigarettes, and what looks like a gun out of some bad sci-fi flick.]

[The initial anger and shock have worn off. It was the smell that got him first. Wherever this is, it's not The City. Far too clean, far too quiet. He was brought here against his will though, so naturally he was on edge. He's survived far too many assassination attempts to not wonder just who brought him here and why. Looking out at his scattered possessions, he dove for the one thing that would be best to keep close to him in such an uncertain environment.]

God fucking damnit. The whole pack is soaked.

Who: Zexion & Cadence (Riku Replica)
Where: Zexion's apartment, Pendilium, floor 1, room 6
When: Later in the night after this
Style: Any
Status: Ongoing

After the arrangements had been made for his meeting with Caden, Zexion had gone out to get supplies with which to make a meal large enough to feed two decently. That part was simple enough, as was the fixing of it. Keeping Bast out of the fish and shrimp however proved to be the most challenging part of the coming evening, especially since she was still small enough it seemed to manage to squirm out of his bedroom, via the crack between the bottom of the door and his floor.

Hopefully, Caden would be prompt in his arrival, else he might end up finding half of the food already claimed by the determined feline.

[Waking up, the fact that something was off and wrong became apparent once he opened his eyes to a room which he was certain wasn't a part of his apartment. Shifting the feline which had been laying on his chest to the bed beside him as he sat up, Zexion took in the entire room and after a moment ventured a guess as to the owner of the room he was in.]

Demyx?

[Hopefully the blond would have answers for him as well, since the last thing he remembered was falling asleep at the desk in his own apartment.]
5th-Feb-2012 08:03 pm - It's an Age-Old Tale...

Characters: Princesses, Princes and Vatheonites all
Location: All around the fairy tale world
Time: All day erryday-- on Monday
Style: Whatever works best!
Status: OPEN. Threadjack, threadhop, spam away!

[Welcome to the curse, Vatheonites. Welcome to the fairy tale.

And with the tale, the world has changed. Nothing remains of the city that once was; now there are fantastical and crazy things, things that would be only found in books--and yet here they are.

There are a few places of note, however. A few places that might draw the intrepid adventurer, the curious.

To begin--

The Forest-- here can be found...well, trees. But other than trees, there are fairies, and curious shadows and eyes and things hiding where you do not want things to hide. Overall, it's not very safe anymore! Wolves might be on the prowl, mystical creatures that think that you sure do look a lot like lunch. And hidden deep within the forest in a system of sprawling caves lurks a dragon. Sitting on a pile of golden treasure.

The princess can be found there. Sure hope the dragon isn't sitting on her, whoops.

The Pirate Ship-- this one is much more straightforward. Namely, that there are pirates and they're out for your blood. But the ship itself is winding and filled with (empty) treasure chests and nasty sea critters that are, surprise surprise, also out for your blood. You might have to fight a pirate chief to save the princess in this labyrinth.

The Briar Patch/Towers-- where the carnival once stood there are now a couple of ominous towers, empty or filled with scuttling, skittery creatures or perhaps an unlucky slumbering foreigner. There are nasty thorns growing all over, but maybe if you're careful you can break through and find the one tower that houses the witch. Be careful--she has spells to throw at you. But she's also guarding another princess, so maybe it's worth the fight and...the flying monkeys.

The meadow-- deep in the lower district there is now a large meadow. Looks harmless, right? Only if you venture too far in, you will come across what look to be...monsters? Monsters of all shapes and sizes, vicious and ready to kill...except they're just illusions. The illusions get more and more real the closer you get to the center of the meadow, however. Some of them might even be able to actually bite, so be careful. Deep in the meadow there is a unicorn who is holding a poor princess captive. Can anyone rescue them?

Anyone is welcome to make a thread--princesses or princes or average Vatheonite pixie! Threadjack, have fun, be creative! Just remember that only the princesses' ~one true love~ will succeed...but everyone is welcome to give it a shot.]

Who: Severus Snape and OPEN
Location: Near the coral reef
Time: February 1, early evening
Style: Prose
Status: OPEN

Severus Snape would be loath to admit it but he was curious - curious about the strange reef that he had come to realize he had to touch once in awhile or else he would suffer the side effects he had seen in others. The Potions Master had no desire to pass out or something of that sort so he dutifully made trips to the reef.

On this occasion, though, he was feeling restless. Examining the organism in the past had not revealed it to be anything more to him than a simple coral reef. Of course, he knew his senses were deceiving him on this front.

Adding to his sense of unrest was how little contact he had had with others. As much as he liked to pretend he was able to live without human contact it was something that all humans needed from time to time and he was no exception. He had found himself a comfortable loft to reside at but no real companions or associates. So now he found himself at the reef, his critical gaze mulling over it and his present situation.
