Masquerade! Paper faces on parade~
Who: Absolutely everyone
What: Masquerade~!
Where: The Golden Victory Club
When: Night of Saturday the 8th
Style: Whatever you want
Status: Open like the club's doors~

All day the Golden Victory club had been closed, the only people allowed in being the workers and helpers who were setting it up for the night's big event. Finally, at seven, the lights all turn on and the main doors open.
Leading up to the main doors is a red carpet walkway that will lead right into the main room. There, the usual club room is well illuminated with it's large bar at the back wall with plenty of drinks available for everyone. Along the walls, the club's chairs and some new loveseats are placed for anyone who would rather sit and socialize than stand or dance.
At the back, on either side of the large room, there are food tables with a wide selection, certain to please everyone. Along with these food tables are separate dessert tables. On their own table, there are three, large, cakes that anyone is welcome to dig into. (Although, they're just so pretty!)
In a few, strategic, locations there can be found baskets of masks just in case anyone needs one or wants to try and get one on a stubborn friend.
Lighthearted ball music and slow, peaceful songs lend to the atmosphere; loud enough to be heard and danced to, but soft enough that conversation is possible.
The hosts themselves, along with the staff of Temptationis Clementiae, are already there and in costume, as if welcoming their guests in for the festivities.
[OOC: Feel free to tag into the location threads or make your own~ It's a completely open post, just have fun!
Also, the perfectly adorable drawing was done by the wonderfully artistic Reiko~
Note: The overflow post for the ball can be found here]

Um, yes? What makes you ask that?
no subject
You, ah... [He makes a vague gesture around Crocker.] Looked like you were having a problem.
[Kimblee you don't just say that.]
no subject
I was - DISCOING! [There's that short spazz. Which may be confused for a disco move, expect that the spazz Crocker just did was more jaggered then the smoother moves of the discoing.]
no subject
give him some space.]
I... don't quite understand.
no subject
It's a form of dance from my universe.
no subject
no subject
[Pause] What kind of dancing is there in your universe?

[Such a creeper tone] I don't mind just watching people. [His glasses seem to shimmer]
[There's a pause]
How did you know it me? [Because my glasses are covered how would you ever guess? Besides my voice and same clothing.]
First, I'd ask if she's talking about the wall behind me... And then.. Decline her offer..... [Wow hear all that sunshine in his voice expect not. There's depression and lack of self confidence there.]
no subject
[And then Kimblee just shakes his head with a smirk.]
Your voice, Mister Crocker. I'm not as good with them as I am faces, but I do recognize them.
[A pause.]
Not to mention you have an... interesting 'tic'. [Then he raises a hand to tilt his own mask up a bit--he doesn't remove it, though.] Should a young lady approach you, it'd be rude to turn her down. For all you know she may be just as shy.
no subject
Darn it! If only had I had my voice changer and Marx glasses, you would had never guessed it was me.
... You know you're another person to point out that I 'do' [finger qouting] something. What is it that I 'do', exactly, mmm?
[Before staring. Tic what tic?]
Yes, it would. [Agreeing but he seems to hate that. Denzel eyes away for a moment. Bit more then just being shy but let's go with that. Then eyes roll back to Kimblee]
You're not quitting on this are you?
no subject
[Lowering his mask down, Kimblee shrugs a shoulder.]
I rarely quit, Mister Crocker.
no subject
Persistence, I like that. Reminds myself of me.
Then what are you proposing?
no subject
If you're interested, I would be willing to teach you.
no subject
Well, if I know myself, AND I DO, I wouldn't go till I was able to persuade my goal.
So, we might as well get this over with. Yes.
no subject
[And then he's holding a gloved hand out.]
And what would it take to force you to stop in pursuing your goals? Death? Injury?
no subject
[Before Kimblee can even give the choices of death or injury, Denzel busts out] I'D GO TO THE GRAVE BEFORE I GAVE UP ON MY GOALS! [The psychotic not only shows in Crocker's eyes but is also heard in his voice. Heck only knows how many injuries the man has sustained over the many years.
Before taking the offered hand with his own boney and rather long finger nail of Crocker's own]
1/2
poor ears.]
Of course.
2/2
Despite what others may think or say about me, I'm am human.
[He makes a small grimace after initiating the physical contact--don't mind him. It's just something he's not exactly... Comfortable with right away.]
Just try to follow my lead.
Re: 2/2
Denzel may keep his eyes and ears a bit more open now... When Crocker's hand was taken, the man holds his breath, as please don't mention my boney hands went over and over in his mind before finally having a sigh of relief and nods.]
What about you? What would it take for you to stop persuading your goals?
no subject
[Kimblee notes how frail Crocker's hands are, but keeps silent about it in favor of leading the older man into a simple waltz.]
Injury only puts a short pause on my work.
