Masquerade! Paper faces on parade~
Who: Absolutely everyone
What: Masquerade~!
Where: The Golden Victory Club
When: Night of Saturday the 8th
Style: Whatever you want
Status: Open like the club's doors~

All day the Golden Victory club had been closed, the only people allowed in being the workers and helpers who were setting it up for the night's big event. Finally, at seven, the lights all turn on and the main doors open.
Leading up to the main doors is a red carpet walkway that will lead right into the main room. There, the usual club room is well illuminated with it's large bar at the back wall with plenty of drinks available for everyone. Along the walls, the club's chairs and some new loveseats are placed for anyone who would rather sit and socialize than stand or dance.
At the back, on either side of the large room, there are food tables with a wide selection, certain to please everyone. Along with these food tables are separate dessert tables. On their own table, there are three, large, cakes that anyone is welcome to dig into. (Although, they're just so pretty!)
In a few, strategic, locations there can be found baskets of masks just in case anyone needs one or wants to try and get one on a stubborn friend.
Lighthearted ball music and slow, peaceful songs lend to the atmosphere; loud enough to be heard and danced to, but soft enough that conversation is possible.
The hosts themselves, along with the staff of Temptationis Clementiae, are already there and in costume, as if welcoming their guests in for the festivities.
[OOC: Feel free to tag into the location threads or make your own~ It's a completely open post, just have fun!
Also, the perfectly adorable drawing was done by the wonderfully artistic Reiko~
Note: The overflow post for the ball can be found here]

> After he was adorbs with Chibi
That was sweet of you.

[You saw nothing, Zelda, and Darkleer will feign ignorance until his dying breath. His mask, now once again in its proper place, helps with this endeavor.]
no subject
It's almost as cute as when he went off with a fox at the last big party like this.]Entertaining the small one. Amaterasu's child?
no subject
This one ended better because they weren't dramatic sad dumbheads and also no romance was involved. Definitely.][Zelda, noooooo, how could you.]
...Ah. Well. I thought he might be lost.
no subject
As I said, it was sweet.
[She looks back to the dance floor. Zelda could have sworn she discussed parties like this with Dualscar during the Fairytale curse, but the memories of it are still a bit off.]
Do you have parties like this on Alternia?
no subject
On Alternia? Well... [He gives a small shrug, looking back to the small sea of people as well.]
We had similar events, I suppose. Their purpose was often a bit different than this one, however.
no subject
["Unique" is polite speak for "frighteningly barbaric sometimes". Zelda does have a genuine interest in it though. How could she not, when it was a troll who had essentially raised Sola for the past half a year?]
Out of curiosity, does your world have a particularly large ocean?
[She's always wondered why seadwellers would be on the top of society. It doesn't make much sense from her perspective.]
no subject
Yes, it does. It is very large, and very deep.
[There's something in his tone that shifts slightly at the description.]
no subject
It's rather shallow on my world. No deeper than we are here, really. The light can reach the bottom. I've read about worlds where the ocean is so deep that no light can penetrate it.
[Another quick look around the room. Yes, let's change the subject to things Darkleer likes.]
I don't believe I've seen Gamzee here tonight. Did he not come?
[He'd been so cute on New Years fussing with his tie!]
no subject
[They might have horrorterrors residing in them, after all.]
[Zelda does make a good move in going back to the children, however. Darkleer's posture relaxes just enough and his voice gains a soft quirk to it.]
He didn't, no. The boys decided that the event would be rather dull and stuffy to their tastes. Gamzee, Equius, Nepeta, and Tavros are all at our hive. I believe their plans were to watch movies.
no subject
[In some ways, that's comforting. It's like being a little girl again - her only job is to walk up to people, chat with them, dance a little, smile nicely...]
Movies? I've heard of them, but I haven't seen one. That's a video that shows scripted scenes, isn't it?
no subject
[If only his memories were that fond. But he doesn't worry about it now, instead focused on the thought of his boys.]
Yes. Think of it like a play, only set not on a stage.
no subject
[With the way she says "tv", it's pretty clear that she thinks it's a word. Only show she's heard about? Vatheon Shore.]
no subject
[Multiple... forms of it.. and all.]
I could introduce you to a few rather good ones, if you told me what short of stories you preferred.
no subject
[If Zelda ever becomes aware that documentaries exist, expect her to vanish for a week or more. Reading a book is one thing (and a thing she enjoys very much), seeing actual moving pictures of places mentioned is another entirely.]
no subject
NookQuarter. Endless worlds at her fingertips.]I see... I believe some plays from other worlds have been done as films as well, so I will do my best to find some for you that are acceptable.
[Basically nothing from Alternia then, really. Their lessons are... different.]
no subject
Oh! No, you don't have to go out of your way. Something off the top of your head is fine, I wouldn't want to be any trouble.
no subject
[...Wait that is not reassuring whoops.]
It's no trouble at all. I have taken the time to work at a bookstore recently. It's fairly close to a place which sells various movies. It wouldn't take me much time at all to gather a decent selection for you.
no subject
If you're certain... I have been curious. I should pick up something to watch them on.
[Maybe she'll finally get around to watching those movies that Shizuo left behind. She still has a box of his things, packed carefully away in case he ever comes back.
Imagine her surprise when she discovers Shizuo's favorite movies were all targeted towards little girls.]
no subject
I could make you something, if you would like. Right now, even. It would be a very simple thing.
[No, really. He would love to make something. What do you mean you do not create technological devices while at a ball?]
no subject
I would like that. You have the components on hand? Oh, wait! You have one of those sylladexes, don't you?
no subject
Would you like to watch, or should I simply find you again when I'm done?
no subject
[Very interesting, even. Hopefully he won't mind the princess hovering right over his shoulder and trying to absorb all the details, because that is exactly what she will do.]
no subject
[Rather pleased at returning to something he truly likes, Darkleer sets off, finding a seat with a table at it. Human seats never really fit him, and he looks even larger as he hunches over to set everything up, including a cloth over the table. May as well be polite to his hosts and not get anything on their nice furniture. Captchalogue cards flicker into existence and empty their contents.]
How familiar are you with it?
no subject
[Zelda settles down beside him, close enough to watch but not climbing all over him in an effort to see. Yet. She gets pretty intense when she's trying to learn something.]
You are the one who made it for him, aren't you? I appreciate it.
