Masquerade! Paper faces on parade~

All day the Golden Victory club had been closed, the only people allowed in being the workers and helpers who were setting it up for the night's big event. Finally, at seven, the lights all turn on and the main doors open.

Leading up to the main doors is a red carpet walkway that will lead right into the main room. There, the usual club room is well illuminated with it's large bar at the back wall with plenty of drinks available for everyone. Along the walls, the club's chairs and some new loveseats are placed for anyone who would rather sit and socialize than stand or dance.

At the back, on either side of the large room, there are food tables with a wide selection, certain to please everyone. Along with these food tables are separate dessert tables. On their own table, there are three, large, cakes that anyone is welcome to dig into. (Although, they're just so pretty!)

In a few, strategic, locations there can be found baskets of masks just in case anyone needs one or wants to try and get one on a stubborn friend.

Lighthearted ball music and slow, peaceful songs lend to the atmosphere; loud enough to be heard and danced to, but soft enough that conversation is possible.

The hosts themselves, along with the staff of Temptationis Clementiae, are already there and in costume, as if welcoming their guests in for the festivities.

[Johnny was about to decide it was time for a small break when he noticed Fai and made a bee-line to him. He was still concerned for his friend, he was around Fai a lot and he knew the other man wasn't completely at ease.

He comes up beside the shorter man and wraps an arm around Fai's shoulders, pulling him close and placing a brief kiss on the blond's forehead.]

How're you doing?

[Fai looks up at Johnny with a smile, leaning a little against the other man, comforted by his presence. He's thankful to Johnny for a lot of things, and also still feels bad for what happened on that very strange Monday. He finds he can't hide much from the vampire though so he has given up trying.]

I'm fine. This party is a lot of fun and everyone seems to be enjoying themselves.

Mmm....they are~ I'm glad.

I like to think of this place as home, so if I can bring the people here some happiness then I feel I can't ask for more.

[He told Fai there would be no need to pretend while at home and he held true to that while in the other vampire's company, no matter where they were. When it was just them, the only mask would be the one physically on his face.]

Though...I would ask for one thing, if I could...

I'm sure everyone appreciates it. It's been a difficult month for many of the people here.

[Fai tilts his head a little and beneath that mask his one eyebrow quirks upwards.]

Oh? What is that? Is there something we forgot to do?

[Johnny smiles and moves away enough to take Fai's hand and kiss the back of it.]

I would ask you for a dance~

[Fai blinks a few times in surprise then the lightest of blushes grace his cheeks at the display. Thankfully it is mostly covered by the mask since it would be rather obvious on the pale skin. The smile that spreads across his lips in genuine.]

Aah~ You know how to warm an old man's heart~

[Johnny's smile grows and he leads them onto the dance floor, pulling Fai close and resting his other hand on the vampire's hip to lead him into a dance.]

[Fai moves easily with Johnny.] I hope I don't step on your feet. I haven't done much dancing, despite my long lifetime~

[Dancing was something that he associated with parties and having a good time. Fai's heart had never truly known what it was like to celebrate anything and Ashura-ou didn't hold many parties.]

[Johnny chuckles and shakes his head.]

I'm sure you'll do fine~ Besides~ you're as light as a feather, I doubt I'd feel it if you did~

...hmmm....have I mentioned how handsome you look tonight?

[Ah, Johnny~ Why you have to make this pale vampire blush?]

Do I~? You'll embarrass me if you keep flattering me like that. I could say the same about you. This kind of attire suits you.

Clothes like these were never in fashion when I was growing up. We were far more concerned with layers and keeping out the cold weather.

I think you should wear it more often now. It would really turn heads~
