Masquerade! Paper faces on parade~

All day the Golden Victory club had been closed, the only people allowed in being the workers and helpers who were setting it up for the night's big event. Finally, at seven, the lights all turn on and the main doors open.

Leading up to the main doors is a red carpet walkway that will lead right into the main room. There, the usual club room is well illuminated with it's large bar at the back wall with plenty of drinks available for everyone. Along the walls, the club's chairs and some new loveseats are placed for anyone who would rather sit and socialize than stand or dance.

At the back, on either side of the large room, there are food tables with a wide selection, certain to please everyone. Along with these food tables are separate dessert tables. On their own table, there are three, large, cakes that anyone is welcome to dig into. (Although, they're just so pretty!)

In a few, strategic, locations there can be found baskets of masks just in case anyone needs one or wants to try and get one on a stubborn friend.

Lighthearted ball music and slow, peaceful songs lend to the atmosphere; loud enough to be heard and danced to, but soft enough that conversation is possible.

The hosts themselves, along with the staff of Temptationis Clementiae, are already there and in costume, as if welcoming their guests in for the festivities.

[So I guess this is Yukari. Mistaking Cielo for a girl, in her pink dress as she tries to make her way to the sidelines. Though to be fair, the misconception doesn't last long. He looks pretty familiar.]

[She bumps into him accidentally. Her hair is up, too, but maybe he'll recognize her voice or something.]

Wait, hang on. She remembers that hair after all. It makes sense that he'd do it a little differently for the occasion-- since her hair is different, too. She looks a little relieved, and smiles.]

[Pretty obvious, yeah. Of course, that's the point of these kinds of events, right?

She gives him another look over and nods approvingly.]

[Maybe he should wear other things more often. But his uniform is much more practical.]

[Practical for all the fighting they're not doing here?

...Hah. Well, it's his decision, of course, but she thinks it'd be nice to spice up his fashion a bit. So she nods. He should be happy.]

So have you been dancing?

[Well, it's easy to move in and provides protection in case he does get into a fight!

He wouldn't mind going on a shopping trip though or dressing differently once in a while, though. He was willing to dress up for the ball!]

Not yet. I lost track of Gale and I haven't had anyone else to dance with.

...Well, I find that hard to believe!

[Hands on her hips. She doesn't even have to look around to show him how many people there are, and surely many of them would have been willing to dance with someone so pretty--

But nevertheless, she laughs a bit, as she continues:]

I certainly wouldn't mind. Maybe we'll find where he went off to.

[She'd always wanted to meet Gale again. So what say you, Cielo?]

[The truth is something a little closer to that Cielo kind of left Gale behind but shh.]

Whoops, she wasn't expecting that one. But dragged she is, and even though there are a ton of people gathering to dance as well, at the same time, they seem to fit right in.

SO! Cielo first learned about this kind of dancing from Serph, and he took it upon himself to get better at it in preparation for this event.

[Yukari keeps up pretty well, despite not being an expert or anything. She looks a little impressed, even, seeing the way he moves.]

I've always been good at dancing.

[He thinks. He doesn't know where he got this skill, but dancing is something that comes naturally to him.]

This kind of dancing is still pretty new to me though.

Haha, Yukari doesn't even know enough about dancing to pick up on the fact that he's still kind of new to it. Maybe he just looks like he's having enough fun that she had to compliment him.]

Me too. I don't really know what I'm doing, but--

[-- oof. She kind of bumps into someone at that, but that's okay. Totally normal, when there are so many people.]

I don't think anyone notices. [laugh]

Even if they do, it's no big deal unless we knock them over or something.

[He thinks it's better when you have open space and not have to worry about hitting anyone, but that doesn't mean this can't be fun either.]

Uh... [She slows down a bit at that, looking almost embarrassed. Not that there's any reason for her to be.]
