so about that flyer...

[ there's a bit of a commotion tonight, and many locals are talking about something happening up on the island. anyone curious enough to check it out would first notice a glowing shore to match a starry sky; it seems to be a type of jellyfish causing this.

immediately afterward they would undoubtedly see a very large boat having apparently docked itself on the shore. there's no captain in sight and it appears to be completely inoperable, so it's a full-blown mystery on how it arrived on the shore. it certainly doesn't look like a normal boat though— probably due to the fact that it is utterly decked out for a party.

there are streamers, balloons, and a whole lot of glitter on deck. there's even a large banner that reads:

☆ HAVE FUN!!! ☆

on deck there are speakers blasting a nautical-style party music should dancing be your thing. nearby there's plenty of good food for the eating, along with a gratuitous amount of chapagne (with a non-alcoholic brand for the underage); a champagne tower can also be seen. party games are encouraged, and a few are even already set up (such as the large whale-themed piñata).

[It's on the boat, yes, but that doesn't mean that people can't have fun on the beach! ...Somehow. He laughs and then looks out towards the boat on the sea.]

Maybe you should go over there, then. Sounds like fun.

People aren't your thing? Or are you afraid that too many people will make the boat sink?

[Axel snickered and then crouched down to eye the glowing jellyfish more closely.]

It's not gonna sink. I'm just- kind of used to avoiding people.

[He stays standing for the moment, watching to make sure Axel doesn't decide to start poking them.]

[Axel knows that, so he smirks knowingly.]

Then don't go on the boat. Simple as that, right?

[...you jerk.]

I'm thinking the company might be nicer though.

[flared]

Geez, make up your mind, kiddo.

[Axel laughs all in good humor, however, before he straightens back up. Nope, he won't chance poking the jellies right now.]

We can both go over there if it makes you feel any better.

[coolerthansora]

It might.

[He stops pouting frowning though to ask:]

Did you want to go?

[Because that wasn't exactly his first suggestion. Maybe he'd rather stay out here inspecting jellyfish. Axel's weird sometimes.]

[flared]

[You mean he's weird all the time, Roxas.]

I don't mind either way.

Do you?

[Roxas is only learning the extent of Axel's weirdness as he gets to know normal people.]

...I guess if it's no fun over there we can always just leave.

[flared]

Then start swimming.

[He laughs. Is he serious? Maybe, maybe not.]

[You are messing with him again, aren't you?]

...you first.

[flared]

[Why yes he is.]

Don't tell me that you're scared of a little water.

[Well, he is onto it this time.]

That's just weird coming from you.

[flared]

[Well darn. Axel waits a moment...then he laughs a nudges Roxas roughly with his elbow.]

Man, you take me way too seriously sometimes.

[He smiles a little.]

I dunno. I thought it'd be pretty funny if you had to jump in there.

[flared]

[Snickers]

Nah, not with jellyfish in the water. Larxene, maybe, but not me.

[coolerthansora]

...minus the jellyfish. [Jellyfish in the water just makes it sort of mean. Although, Axel was the one who suggested it to begin with..]

Anyway I think I'm fine with Larxene just not being here.

[flared]

[That gets a bit of a louder laugh from him.]

What've you got against Larxene?

[coolerthansora]

Nothing, really, but I don't remember liking her either.

[Actually she was kind of scary but he's not about to admit that.]

[flared]

I think that's the safest place to be in.

[He claps a hand on Roxas' shoulder and gives him a little shake. Axel has already admitted that he's liked no one else but Roxas in the Organization, so he wouldn't take too kindly to the likes of someone like Larxene coming around here and trying to mess with his best friend.]

But if she does come around, don't let her mess with you, got it?

[Roxas grins a little.]

Why would I let anyone mess with me?

[flared]

I dunno. You tell me.

[Now he'll just ruffle up your hair a bit.]

[coolerthansora]

[Messing up his hair again? Roxas pushes the hand away.]

Well, I can't, 'cause I wouldn't.

[flared]

You let me mess with you pretty well, though.

[Not without a fight, though, that's for sure. Axel laughs and holds his hand away.]
