vatheon | so about that flyer...

[ there's a bit of a commotion tonight, and many locals are talking about something happening up on the island. anyone curious enough to check it out would first notice a glowing shore to match a starry sky; it seems to be a type of jellyfish causing this.

immediately afterward they would undoubtedly see a very large boat having apparently docked itself on the shore. there's no captain in sight and it appears to be completely inoperable, so it's a full-blown mystery on how it arrived on the shore. it certainly doesn't look like a normal boat though— probably due to the fact that it is utterly decked out for a party.

there are streamers, balloons, and a whole lot of glitter on deck. there's even a large banner that reads:

☆ HAVE FUN!!! ☆

on deck there are speakers blasting a nautical-style party music should dancing be your thing. nearby there's plenty of good food for the eating, along with a gratuitous amount of chapagne (with a non-alcoholic brand for the underage); a champagne tower can also be seen. party games are encouraged, and a few are even already set up (such as the large whale-themed piñata).

What've you got against Larxene?

Nothing, really, but I don't remember liking her either.

[Actually she was kind of scary but he's not about to admit that.]

I think that's the safest place to be in.

[He claps a hand on Roxas' shoulder and gives him a little shake. Axel has already admitted that he's liked no one else but Roxas in the Organization, so he wouldn't take too kindly to the likes of someone like Larxene coming around here and trying to mess with his best friend.]

But if she does come around, don't let her mess with you, got it?

[Roxas grins a little.]

Why would I let anyone mess with me?

I dunno. You tell me.

[Now he'll just ruffle up your hair a bit.]

[Messing up his hair again? Roxas pushes the hand away.]

Well, I can't, 'cause I wouldn't.

You let me mess with you pretty well, though.

[Not without a fight, though, that's for sure. Axel laughs and holds his hand away.]

Ah-

[He hadn't thought of that. But, it's different with Axel.]

But we're friends. It's allowed. ...I mean, some anyway.

[He doesn't want to encourage you there.]

[He glances out at the boat again in thought. It's nice to know that Roxas still considers him to be a friend. He just hopes that it can stay that way.]

So I guess that makes me special, doesn't it?

[Why that thoughtful look, Axel.]

Just don't get any ideas.

[He's just a little...anxious, is all. Can't blame a guy after he's seen you walk away from him before.]

Heh. You're lucky that I'm a nice guy to you.

[Smirks over his shoulder...but that dissolves into a more genuine smile later]

You're my best friend, after all.

[Well, he has no intention of doing it again. At Axel's smile, his own expression softens.]

Always.

[At least he hopes so.]

So, we heading over there or not?

Sure thing.

[He holds a hand out to summon forth a Corridor of Darkness in front of them.]

Ladies first.

[He just. gives you a look.]

So you're calling your best friend a girl now?

Where'd you get that idea? [Innocent head tilt]

Unless you're talking about yourself.

[Axel does have the long hair ~~and the child-bearing hips~~.]

[Don't deny that you like them hips, man.]

Do you see me going first?

[Did he say anything about disliking them?

Buuut, he is going to reach over to give Axel a shove towards the portal.]

[Hey, Axel may never know. He's about to say something but suddenly--Push! Axel kind of...not so gracefully stumbles forward into the Portal. Not cool, dude.]

[Roxas follows him through, nonchalantly sticking his hands in his pockets.

You brought this one on yourself, buddy.]

[He regains his balance eventually and since he can see so well in the Darkness he reaches behind him to push Roxas' shoulder.

Hmph. Walk walk walk]

[Roxas stumbles a bit, but smirks faintly and walks on.]

Hey, you said it.

[He just ignores that and keeps walking before soon the other side of the Corridor comes into sight and he's standing on the boat. Roxas is lucky that Axel just doesn't slam the Portal shut on him before he can get out.]

Axel?

[Roxas follows him out and then steps up beside him to try to peer up at his face. He can't be mad over a little shove, can he?]

[He's just giving you a hard time, dude. He looks over to Roxas and after a second smirks again.]

Yeah?
