[ there's a bit of a commotion tonight, and many locals are talking about something happening up on the island. anyone curious enough to check it out would first notice a glowing shore to match a starry sky; it seems to be a type of jellyfish causing this.

immediately afterward they would undoubtedly see a very large boat having apparently docked itself on the shore. there's no captain in sight and it appears to be completely inoperable, so it's a full-blown mystery on how it arrived on the shore. it certainly doesn't look like a normal boat though— probably due to the fact that it is utterly decked out for a party.

there are streamers, balloons, and a whole lot of glitter on deck. there's even a large banner that reads:

☆ HAVE FUN!!! ☆

on deck there are speakers blasting a nautical-style party music should dancing be your thing. nearby there's plenty of good food for the eating, along with a gratuitous amount of chapagne (with a non-alcoholic brand for the underage); a champagne tower can also be seen. party games are encouraged, and a few are even already set up (such as the large whale-themed piñata).

It's an extremely common theme in the stories she used to read, after all. But if this is just about sustenence... why is it so satisfying to be holding her hand like this? Kanaya almost forgets to follow up on the line she already delivered.]

It is the same in my own world, though the same could be said on land as well where earthquakes and severe storms are just as common as an accident on the water.

That's probably the best way to describe what I mean, actually. In my world, Aer is kind of the thing that makes everything work ... or, well, it did. We had things called blastia, which took the aer and converted it into the type of energy that would be a convenience to people all across the world; blastia used aer to do things ranging from providing light, to providing water, to even enhancing peoples' own abilities and making them stronger.

We found out that the use of blastia was harming our environment, however, and bringing about something that would have destroyed the world. So, we recently had to sacrifice the use of blastia and find a new way to maintain our daily conveniences. Thus, where converting aer into mana comes in.
