so about that flyer...

[ there's a bit of a commotion tonight, and many locals are talking about something happening up on the island. anyone curious enough to check it out would first notice a glowing shore to match a starry sky; it seems to be a type of jellyfish causing this.

immediately afterward they would undoubtedly see a very large boat having apparently docked itself on the shore. there's no captain in sight and it appears to be completely inoperable, so it's a full-blown mystery on how it arrived on the shore. it certainly doesn't look like a normal boat though— probably due to the fact that it is utterly decked out for a party.

there are streamers, balloons, and a whole lot of glitter on deck. there's even a large banner that reads:

☆ HAVE FUN!!! ☆

on deck there are speakers blasting a nautical-style party music should dancing be your thing. nearby there's plenty of good food for the eating, along with a gratuitous amount of chapagne (with a non-alcoholic brand for the underage); a champagne tower can also be seen. party games are encouraged, and a few are even already set up (such as the large whale-themed piñata).

[Yes it would probably be a bad idea to take one and this is why she was trying to keep an eye on you before they got split up. Not that she can actually see the jellyfish, but even she's not quite blind enough not to notice the glowing!

...Anyway, she's coming up behind you, Reisuke.]

It's quite a sight, isn't it?

[Coming up behind homicidal four year olds is probably not a good idea, but since it's just Tsubaki, he relaxes a little, even smiling like always.]

Yeah! They're really pretty!

[Pshaw, whatever, she lives with you Reisuke--she ain't afraid o' nothin'. She does step a bit closer to where he is though, to get a better look at these things floating in the water, which he seems to want pretty badly.]

What...are they? They certainly do not look like fish.

[At least none that she's ever seen. But the bobbing up and down she notices in the glow kinda reminds her of...]

That's 'cause they're called...um, "jellyfish", I think!

[And those are way cooler to look at than regular fish, obviously.]

[Jellyfish. That's right...and they do look rather "cool," she supposes.]

I was not aware that they could glow.

Maybe they're a special kind that can do that... [You know, like the elites of jellyfish...or something. Either way, Reisuke moves just a little closer to the water to look...though it probably wouldn't be a good idea to touch them, as tempting as it is.]

That must be so. [She follows him, wanting to see, too, beyond lights in the waves.] But I've never heard of them.

I suppose this is what that note was referring to...

[This lights display...well, and the big huge boat that seems to have come from out of nowhere. There sure is a lot of music coming from it.]

Note? ...Oh, the one with the fish puns. [Really bad fish puns, but fish puns none the less. He turns his attention towards the boat too, listening to the music.] It's pretty loud over there...

[Awful, terrible fish puns. Made the message barely comprehensible. But whatever, somehow she found her way here at the right time, so it got the job done.

She sighs, but then nods.]

Yes. it is. I'm inclined to stay away from it, but...it is a little hard to ignore.

Yeah...does Tsubakinee-chan like the music?

Not particularly, no...

[She looks over to Reisuke with a tilt of her head, as if to ask the same of him.]

Huh...music's okay, I guess, but it's not really that interesting...

[Looking at jellyfish is way more interesting than checking out the source of music to him right now.]

[That pretty much hits the nail on the head for her. She's not much into the whole dancing thing, either; maybe in her mind, she doesn't think bodies are supposed to move like that. :|]

That's all right. We can stay here for now, then-- at least until you are hungry.

[Or something. Growing boys need to eat, right?

Heck if she really knows what she's doing, but the light are quite pretty.]

[It's okay Tsubaki, if it's any consolation, you're probably doing better at looking out for him than his own parents did in his timeline.]

Okay! ...Oh, and for when you get hungry too, Onee-chan! [Can't let you starve either, right?]

Of course.

[She certainly doesn't plan to allow herself to starve; but a delay of an hour or so, while waiting for the crowds to clear out, would not kill her.

There are way too many people on board at the moment.]

In the meantime, we should be careful.

[Jellyfish sting, don't they?]

[Most of them sure do!]

Okay! But don't worry, because everything will be fine! [Says the boy who could seriously consider trying to reach out to touch a jellyfish if he wanted to...]

[Everything will be fine.

...Yes, it probably would; within the safety of Vatheon, anyways. Cruel, misguided jokes aside, the city is far more peaceful than she's used to most of the time, especially without the influence of the Survival Game...so she believes him.

And she agrees.]

It will.

[Somehow.

For now, they can just enjoy themselves, however short-lived it may be. Tsubaki will even bend down, picking up some sand by the light of the waves before attempting to mold it, like a child would; and it seems she does not mind either way, whether Reisuke joins in or not.]

[Reisuke looks over with some interest before he comes over closer to join her--mostly to watch what she does, but he does move some sand over that could be added to it too if she wanted to add more sand.]

[Add more sand she does, then; and it's silent, aside from the people who run past them, enjoying the waves-- laughing, chattering.

She shrugs it off though, and continues to build something in the sand, however sloppily. She may as well find out what is so fascinating about the stuff, after all, even if she would need Reisuke's help in the end.

Somehow she doesn't really seem to mind.]

[Occasionally Reisuke looks up whenever people run past them, but otherwise seems to be more enthused with this little sand building...dome...whatever this is more than the other people around them for the moment.

At least he seems to be having fun, since he's now smiling and making light humming noises and such as he helps her out.]

[... Honestly, she can't really tell what it is, or what it'll be. She's kind of just winging it, but she seems to be having fun, too; and a dome shape is probably easiest for her to make.

In the end, she supposes it looks a bit like a turtle shell shape; just a bump in the sand.

No head yet, though.]

[Reisuke's built domes in the sand before the few times he played in the sandbox in the park, so he seems to have some idea of what he's doing. Though after a moment, he sits back a little to look at it.]

It kinda looks like a turtle shell... [Hmm...one moment, he'll shift some sand over to where a head might go for a possible sand turtle.]

Ah--

[Hm! He seems to have read her mind. She's glad, too; she would've hated to say what she thought it looked like, and been wrong.

She's just about to say that they should give him a head, but he's one step ahead of her.]

Lovely. [In a childish, weird kind of way--] Though I fear the tide may wash him away before long.

[Man, otherwise they could've totally given it a name.]

Oh, yeah... [Poor sand turtle. He almost seems disappointed at the idea that their turtle is gonna get washed away.] At least we were able to make one now before that could happen...

[Awww. Now she's a bit sad too, though she didn't think much of it at first. It's just sand in the end, but...maybe they can give him a name anyway.

...Or at least, he can.]

Well...you could give him a name, before we leave.
