◣ Summer Fair ◢

If anyone actually wanders up there, they will find the whole village decorated with strings of light, fish shaped lanterns, streamers, and kelp. Just past the North edge of the Village was a fair.

There was a large stage in the center of the fair, rides, a fortune teller, contests, games, a petting zoo, a fish exhibit, stalls, booths and everything else you can find at a fair.

The rides consist of whale shaped bumper cars, a ferris wheel, small roller coasters that creak and groan, a house of mirrors, a haunted house, spinning conch shells, and a merry-go-round.

By the haunted house was a dark blue tend with lights and seashells decorating it. The sign above the door says Madam Red’s Love Fortune. The woman herself wore layers of black and red. Her crystal ball was a little…peculiar.

One can find a petting zoo with goats, geese, ducks, rabbits, chickens, ponies and squittens. A large tent featuring a fish exhibit stood beside it. There are hermit crabs with painted shells and manta rays to pet in long tanks.

Close to the stage at the center of the fair were all of the food booths. The food will consist of everything you could imagine being deep-fried. Fish? Check. Squid? Double check. Cookie dough? Bread? Doughnuts? Meat? Ice cream? Soda? Bugs? All way covered. You can find octopus shaped hotdogs and pizza (with the option of fish on it) if you don’t feel like completely clogging your arteries.

There is a rather large slushy machine with every flavor and a mystery black flavor. Soda, cotton candy,
and ice cream could also be found.
Rows of tables with umbrellas and benches could be found surrounding both food carts and the stage.

Try the latest foods the locals have been trying to perfect ~~fish stuffed buns anyone?~~ They are pushing bottles of water, nautical themed towels, and their special bbq sauce. You can exchange some tokens for silver sand dollars for a souvenir or use them to purchase other goods. They have scarves, purses, jewelery, kazoos, and other goods. The locals ran booths are free.

They left tables and tents opened for anyone who wants to set up their own shop or show case their products.

Games

Chicken Run
Gather all the fowl things up and put them back in the pin.
If you get all of them you can win 200 silver dollar tokens or a big prize.
Get most of them and you can have a medium sized stuffed animal.

Fish Bowls
Throw a ping pong ball in to a fish bowl to win the fish. You may get an extra prize if you hit a bowl with colored water.
Blue Water- A giant stuffed animal
Green Water- A medium sized stuffed animal
Red Water- A small stuffed animal
Squirt Guns
Shoot a stream of water inside a small hole to fill the balloon.
Beat the other players to win a medium sized stuffed animal.

Darts
Pop the balloons. You have five darts to start with.
Five balloons will get you a large prize.
Four balloons will get you a medium prize.
Three balloons will get you a small prize.
Two balloons will get you an extra dart to try again.

Arcade
There is a tent full of arcade games. The higher the points, the more silver sand dollars you can win. Exchanged them for a shirt, crown, wand, candy, or any other prizes.

Archery
Hit three bulls-eyes in a row to get a large prize.

Sling Shot Challenge
Hit the targets.
Pass the first round (targets are stationary) and win a small prize.
Pass the second round (targets move left and right) and win a medium prize.
Pass the third round (targets move left, right, up, down, and spin) and win a large prize.

✗Baking Contest on Tuesday
First place winner receives a blue ribbon and a bag of 200 silver sand dollars.
Second place winner receives a green ribbon and a bag of 100 silver sand dollars.
Third place winner receives a red ribbon and a bag of 50 silver sand dollars.

✗Pie eating Contest on Wednesday.
Who wants some pie?
The winner will get heir choice of any of the prizes from the game area and a bag of silver sand dollars.

✗Karaoke Contest on Thursday
The winner will receive a singing fake fish to mount on their wall and 200 silver sand dollars.

✗Three-legged Race on Thursday.
Your partner is randomly selected. Your leg will be tied together with your partner's.
The winners will a gold starfish and Silver Sand Dollars.

✗Chocobo Race
Race down the beach on chocobos.
The winner will receive a gold medal and 200 silver sand dollars.
Second place will get a silver medal and 100 silver sand dollars.
Third will get a bronze medal and 50 silver sand dollars.

The stage was set for the Queen of Rock.

At sunset, all of the shops start to close down. You can exchange any amount of Silver Sand Dollars for starfish tokens or any of the prizes that you win from the games.

The locals will be passing out sky lanterns of any color. The beach is where they will urge characters to release them. They even provide small paddle boats. Remember, don't stray out too far in the water.

[ALL RIGHT NOWW HERE WWE GO. Dualscar is determined to get a stuffed animal of some kind. Probably the large shark.

He's carefully preparing to throw darts at brightly-coloured air-filled rubber bladders.]

Normally you'd expect any screaming to come from the direction of the haunted house. Not today.

Anya was just walking past the petting zoo. She wasn't excessively fond of animals, but they could be cute and lacked certain failings found in anything that could speak. But then... there they were. Small and furry, hopping around with those tell-tale long ears and stubby tails.

And that was when she let out the most terrified shriek that never belonged in a petting zoo.

[Initially, she had softer plans for her next concert for the little mingle thing. Simon was gone and, despite all her protests to herself, it did kind of hurt to see him for so little after having to deal with the after effects for so long. But you know what?]

[This is a proper concert, and she is going to rock the hell out of it.]

[After pestering some locals who seemed to demonstrate at least some musical talent, she's got a back up band together, and, at the start of her concert, she makes quite an entrance.]

[If you say slamming down in from the sky with her Axe Bass and making little balls of fire flare up all around the stage is not an entrance, then she has a butt you can kiss, and its hers. She yells into the mic Leo made for her.]

GET READY TO HAVE YOUR UNDERWEAR ROCKED OFF, VATHEON!

[Her song set today, besides with her soon to be trademark song, has a good few classics in it, so have fun and enjoy.]

Fai thought this was all particularly wonderful. He wanted to enjoy every aspect the festival had to offer. It was the best way to kick of summer in his opinion! And especially with the events of weeks past, everyone was in need of some good relaxation and fun.

Looking around at the rides, the only problem Fai had was deciding which one to go on first.

Once he was done riding the rides, Fai decided to help himself to a number of the tasty treats that were unique to the festival. He moved from booth to booth, checking out the various items and determining which ones he wanted to sample. Some things didn't look particularly appetizing to the vampire..particularly deep friend squid. Fai could be adventurous in his food tasting but even he had limits.

At the moment he was going to enjoy a slushy. He plopped down on a nearby bench and stretched his legs out to watch the people passing by while enjoying the cool drink.

Fai held his lantern gently as he looked out across the water. The sun was casting lovely colors across the sand and water and Fai couldn't help but take a moment to admire it.

A rather melancholy feeling washed over him as he lost himself in his thoughts. He would have liked to have shared this day with the others.

[Since it's a Thursday, Marcelline can't resist giving her best shot. Like with all her music, she throws her best into it and finishes with a sweeping bow. Then, she just floats by the stage with a wicked cocky grin on her face.]

[You cannot beat the Vampire Queen in a rock off. She is simply the best there is.]

Whoa, someone is terrified! Marceline can't resist a chance to scope it out, just in case it gives her any inspiration for later. Just what's the big deal anyway?

[Wow, it sure is weird how all the ponies seem to be gathered together in one little tight group, what's got their-]

[Oh.]

[Darkleer is sitting in their midst looking positively lovestruck. That explains it.]

[While wandering through the games section, you might venture near the archery set. Wow, there sure does seem to be a giant pile of shark plushes, turtle plushes, and light up starfish pillows! Resting upon them is a miniature white pony, guarded by a fierce looking bird. Upon seeing someone start to get close, she'll flare up her feathers and give a loud squawk before taking off to flap at them until they back up.]

[The reason why becomes apparent when an arrow goes whistling by, straight into the target's bullseye.]

[...What? Darkleer had gotten bored with such easy targets, so he's been steadily moving further and further away. Dural the lusus bird and robots are what he's relying on to keep people out of his line of fire. Find some other way to get around, gosh.]

[Saix hadn't really meant to get involved with this whole ridiculous affair, but here he is, wandering through the various booths and games and, more or less, looking completely bored and unaffected by it all. He's more trying to figure out this whole event's purpose when he happens to pass by the arcade and one of the games catches his attention just long enough. While it obviously looks completely different from anything that had been in Radiant Garden, the gameplay reminds him of something he and- something he had used to play fairly often.]

[Since he has nothing else to do, he gives it a try- and that first try ends fairly quickly, in colossal failure. Saix pauses for a moment, brow furrowing just slightly, and then tries again with perhaps a bit more effort and stubbornness in his actions.]

[CUE A HOUR LATER]

[Saix is, quite clearly, not having fun. In fact, there is a subtle narrow of his eyes that hints he could possibly find more pleasure in tearing this machine apart.]

[But he's also reached the high score, and seems to have no intent of stopping. Nobodies are very stubborn, you see, and Saix is nothing if not a perfectionist.]

[Wallace was busy on the arcade machine trying to get a decent score. It was like space invaders but a bit more modern. He used his dexterity to try and gain the advantage over the machine AI. He huffed a few times, as he missed a few of the targets. Milotic was behind him, watching fascinated, as Wallace slammed the joystick left and right.]

[Wallace sneaked up behind Fai and playfully tapped him on the shoulder. How could he miss out on such a spectacular view?]

Hello, Fai. Have you been enjoying the summer fair?

Chii didn't understand the reason for the scream, but then again she didn't know it wasn't common in a petting zoo.

So with making her way over, she went to see what it was about.

"Why do you scream?"

A) Petting Zoo
[Chii, sat quietly, staring face to face with a cute little duck. She was trying to understand what to do or even what it was, but never the less she continues to stare, thinking that maybe it will explain things to her.]

B) Haunted House
[Well, this was new and to some creepy looking. But to Chii this was something new and something she could possibly go and find out more on. So, have a little persocom standing by the entrance, peeking in curiously.]

Chii played with her own lantern, not really sure why they were giving them out, but as she was looking around, she was going to watch and see how the others would use them apart from just hold them.

Looking over she spotted someone she recognized who helped her when she first arrived. So she stood up and made her way over, hoping maybe they could explain it better to her.

"Chii doesn't understand what Chii does with this."

[Tohru seems happy at the petting zoo. After all look at all the cuter and adorable animals. Tohru just can't help but want to spend time there and pet them all.]

[Tohru thought it might be a good idea to at least try one game or two. In this case the fish bowl seemed like fun. So with a couple of ping pongs she tried to put on her most determined face as she aimed and throw it. Off it went flying through the air until... It just missed by a good distance, landing on the floor. That was a pretty bad attempt.]
