If anyone actually wanders up there, they will find the whole village decorated with strings of light, fish shaped lanterns, streamers, and kelp. Just past the North edge of the Village was a fair.

There was a large stage in the center of the fair, rides, a fortune teller, contests, games, a petting zoo, a fish exhibit, stalls, booths and everything else you can find at a fair.

[He'd laugh if he weren't so bloody confused.

Axel glaces between all of them, still holding his slushy and his prizes, but then with an exasperated sigh he sets both down on a nearby chair so he can put his hands on his hips. Huff. Huff, he says, huff.]

You'll never know, Demyx. Maybe our resident killjoy is finally having a change of heart.

[After rolling his eyes, he gives Saix a brief glare--what are you planning?--then turns to Roxas]

Are you sure you wanna go through with this whole date auction thing?

Well, Demyx outbid him, so...

[He's totally okay with hanging out with Demyx. He throws Saix a sidelong glance. He hasn't offered a counter-bid, so he must be safe.]

Yeah, I guess so.

I didn't ask for a time date, Demyx.

[It's like you people think he has some nefarious scheme up his sleeves. Which.. is perhaps warranted.]

[And, no, he hasn't offered a counter-bid. This isn't something he's completely infested in, after all, and it looks like he's lost the little interest he had in the first place.]

[Although he is sideying Axel fairly heavily...]

[He looks over at Demyx and he's about to nod, even thank him quietly for it, but at those next words Axel turns and raises his voice.]

What's that supposed to mean?

[Giving him the eye? What're you going on about? He doesn't want any part of this, oh my god.]

[He's aware Saix is sort of glaring at Axel, but Demyx seems to be making something more of it. Is he missing something?]

[Saix just raises an eyebrow.]

Yes, I was under the impression that was what one did at an auction. Also, please stop spewing nonsense.

[Axel shakes his head then gives Demyx all of the gesticulating.]

Just stop talking; you're making it worse.

[Now he'll be blatantly avoiding looking at Saix here.]

[Uh. ... Ok, he'll just turn his back and start to head for the exit again.]

I'll just see you at the apartment, ok?

Demyx, I'm- sure Saix knows what a date is. Maybe it was just a joke. [A lineface joke. Or a jab at Axel. Anything that didn't involve an actual expectation of going through with it.

Oh. Axel's leaving now?]

Um. Yeah, sure. See you later.

It is quite a feat when the child seems to grasp things better than you, Demyx.

[Although not quite a joke, definitely a jab. The day he jokes is the day you can all consider it prime time to run far away because he'll have snapped.]
