If anyone actually wanders up there, they will find the whole village decorated with strings of light, fish shaped lanterns, streamers, and kelp. Just past the North edge of the Village was a fair.

✗Lanterns on Saturday

There was a large stage in the center of the fair, rides, a fortune teller, contests, games, a petting zoo, a fish exhibit, stalls, booths and everything else you can find at a fair.

You might, you might not. [He knows Annabeth does.] But I don't want to say. Not until I know what I'm feeling for sure.

[Well, at least the hand/hoofshake worked out. It still didn't quite assuage the awkward feeling she felt here, but that would have to work itself out. Nothing for it but to come clean and be upfront about the circumstances in which Kanaya had first become aware of the Pony.]

Or to be more accurate, I heard you talk to him. I saw his rather embarrassing network post last week, and your subsequent admonishment. I couldn't watch you whole exchange before I had to turn of my sfc, but I think I remember you had some kind things to say about the dress Mindfang was wearing.

[ She nods, glad he seems to be okay with her reaction. She's working on the whole wisdom part of her genetic inheritance but if nothing else it's taught her to be accepting of all kinds of things. Especially surprising one. ]

Totally fair enough. Well then. Don't write it off just because we're here. Maybe think of it instead as being the ultimate freedom to try things you normally... wouldn't.

Mm. [ Annabeth knows that's easier said that done. But they've been granted a reprieve here, something that's almost like a second chance or a even a dream. She's still trying to figure out how best to make use of it. ]

Well, when there's something I can't do, I tend to be stubborn about it and practice until I can do it.

[He's not gonna convince her going in there is a good idea.] There's some other rides. Did you want to try one of those?

[It's better than nothing, at least.]

You'll get it, if you practice more. Stuff like this takes a lot of practice to get right, but it's worth it.

"Chii will be careful." She said leaning in that little closer. Closer. Closer until she reaches her hand out and pokes one of them lightly.

The bunny in question just continues to eat on the lettuce. "Chii...It is hungry."

[She smiles petting it some more as the duck just ate bread.]

Chii is doing fine. People have been very nice to Chii and helped Chii. [She turns her head, she thinks she needs to ask this, but she isn't quite sure.]
