◣ Summer Fair ◢

If anyone actually wanders up there, they will find the whole village decorated with strings of light, fish shaped lanterns, streamers, and kelp. Just past the North edge of the Village was a fair.

There was a large stage in the center of the fair, rides, a fortune teller, contests, games, a petting zoo, a fish exhibit, stalls, booths and everything else you can find at a fair.

[He's not gonna convince her going in there is a good idea.] There's some other rides. Did you want to try one of those?

[She is interested in what Leo has to offer.]

What rides?

There's a ferris wheel, a house of mirrors, bumper cars, spinning conch shells, a merry go round and some roller coasters, but I wouldn't recommend the coasters. They're creaky.

[He's not going to tell her he gets motion sick on them. He'd get motion sick on the shells, too, but at least they didn't creak and groan like the coasters.]

Bumper cars! Let's go on the bumper cars!

[She wants to run into people and pretend she is driving on the street.]

Sounds great. [He points in the direction of where the bumper cars are.] They're over that way. You better stick close so you don't get lost.

[She does tend to get lost, so she'll just grab onto Leo's hand while they walk.]

Can I drive one?

[Leo's a little surprised when she takes his hand. Kind of makes him feel like a big brother.]

Of course. You're definitely tall enough.

[Everybody is a big brother when Yotsuba is around.]

Yay! I'm gonna crash into everyone and cause a fifty car pileup!

[So it seems.]

Don't think there's that many of them there. And they're whales. So a 20 water mammal pile up?

[And she's running off to the bumper cars with the most triumphant look on her face.]

[Thankfully Leo's legs are long in comparison to Yotsuba's so he's able to catch up pretty quick.] Wait up kid.

[She doesn't stop until she gets into line. And even then she only stops because she's peeking through the gaps in the wood at the bumper cars.]

Wow, they really are whales!

[fundemetal]

[He gets into line behind her.] I wasn't joking about that. [He laughs.]

Are they real? How do they swim with no water?

[fundemetal]

They're not real. And water and electricity don't mix. If they were swimming we'd get electrocuted.

[fourleafed]

[Suddenly she looks scared.]

I don't wanna get electrocuted!

[fundemetal]

You're not going to. [He facepalms.] There's no water in there.
