[ Good evening, Ladies and Gentlemen of Vatheon— whatever your newfound stature may be, Prince, Princess, Knight, or Peasant, you will all receive a message on your SFC on the eve of Saturday regardless:

You are cordially invited to the castle for this evening's ball. In addition, you are all welcome to try and solve the riddle if it fancies you. It just may break the curse!

The invitation is unsigned, but its intentions are clear. Maybe you hadn't quite noticed the sizeable castle in the distance of the city that had sprung up, but this message would surely garner your attention toward it now.

Should you arrive at the castle, plenty of attractions await you:

Ballroom ❧ A very large and beautiful ballroom is lighted up, complete with a playing violin orchestra. While the curtains will be drawn during this event, there is a windowed view and exit on one side of the ballroom that leads to:

Smee's Rose Garden ❧ A broad and colorful spanse of a garden, complete with many paths and turns. Plenty of roses are arranged in great arches, which provide perfect little places should you need some privacy with your sweetheart. Anyone familiar will even tell you that the garden was purposefully designed for just that sort of thing.

The Riddle ❧ There is an inscription located on a noticeable plaque set in one of the garden's benches. It reads:

Two are necessary to break this curse
Riled up, upset, what kind of love?
Only this kiss will stop it from getting worse.
Look for a winged one is push comes to shove,
Look for a glance slightly dark,
Search for a pair in reluctant love.
One answers a call; that's your mark;
One longs for patria though adverse.

Dining Hall ❧ Connected to the ballroom is an extremely long hall that stretches as far as the eye can see, elegantly arranged as the dining area. Expensive and exquisite cuisine seem to be on the menu— try something new? Chances are you won't be eating from a selection such as this again anytime soon!

Dais ❧ There is a noticeable raised dais that is easily visible via any area within the ballroom. It's locked off from guests, though— what is it for...?

[ So how is everyone enjoying their meals? Pretty tasty, right? Well don't get too comfortable... because anything that is close to the edge of the table is mysteriously gone!

That's right- fish, shrimp, bread, pudding- you name it! Any of the food is either half eaten or completely disappeared.

The culprit? An invisible blue penguin that is... well, invisible. So sadly you can't see it. However, there is a suspicious looking male pretty close to your table. He is looking slightly oblivious, but the boy is chewing on something.

Dare to confront for your missing food? ]

[You did not just. Vegeta's been trying for a decent meal for awhile now.]

I was EATING THAT!

[ fjdkbgsfh OH WHOA JUMPING FROM THE VOICE.

Hey that was kinda loud- ]

Huh!? Eating what? [ Yeah he doesn't get it. ]

My food just vanished!

[He's pointing at the table angrily. Nevermind that the rest of the table still had food on it, he'd had his eyes on that roast.]

[ But there is so much food on there already...

Shouma's eyes narrow with question. ] Maybe you ate it all! Why are you telling me this?

Wait— [ A beat. ] —I didn't take it if that's what you're thinking!

I don't see anyone else near this part of the table.

[It doesn't matter if the blue-haired boy did it or not at this point, Vegeta's ready for a fight.]

Well you must have ate it and didn't realize you did!

[ Because really that happens sometimes, right?

Oh... well Shouma might be a little distracted now to not notice Penguin #2 successfully climbing on the table for the rest of the food oops. ]

There's plenty more!

IT'S GONE!

[Vegeta collapses to the ground in despair. He hasn't eaten in like... two days. Maybe even three. He's going to die.]

Wha—

[ DID HE JUST FALL OVER WHAT? Shouma jumps back, a little surprised, before he's slowly starting to realize what was going on.

O h. ]

Uh hey, it's... alright! You can just order some more, right?

[Saiyans are well known for being insanely strong and nearly impervious to physical damage. What's less well known is that they keep up their strength by eating enough to feed a small country on a regular basis. Vegeta is NOT alright.]

[Before Shouma even realized, he'd been kicked in the stomach. Hard.]

YOU!!
WHAT do you think you're doing stealing my food?! And eating it right in front of me too, like I wouldn't even notice!

[Chie is definitely not happy. As if you couldn't tell. She's standing in her usual hands-on-hips pose, glaring straight into his eyes with a fiery look to them. That food was very important to her.]

That was the first good steak I've had since I got here! Don't think I will let you get away with that..

Huh— GUH! [ Yeah just before he could properly react there was a foot going into his gut.

Brb crashing on the floor at her feet. His hands desperately clasping hold of his poor, now abused, stomach. WHAT THE HECK CRAZY WOMAN. He takes a moment to try to recover, eyes glancing to see- oh... wow she looked serious.

Cue the scowl. ] Wh- what was that for-!? I didn't do anything!

Do I look stupid?

[So much anger in her voice. If this were an anime there'd be fire or something in her eyes.]

You were right next to my table chewing conveniently when my food went missing. It's pretty obvious what you did.

[ Oh... well that didn't sound suspicious.

With a frown his eyes will then glance over to- yup. There was Penguin #2 nomming away on the food beside the table. H- how was he suppose to explain this?? ]

Listen, you've got to believe me! I told you I didn't do anything!

[ It was actually that invisible penguin over there eating the rest of your food... ]

[She crossed her arms, standing over him still. It was bad enough she was a cat, now her food (STEAK OF ALL THINGS)had been taken from her. Yes, she could order more, but that meant she would have to wait again for more to arrive even though she was about to finally savor some since she left Inaba.

All thanks to this lying kid.]

Oh really.

Then what happened to it, thief?

[Ringo's eyes slide over to Shouma as she walks over to the food, holding her clasped hands in front of her. That was a lot of food to just up and disappear like that, after all.

But could he have really eaten it all?]

Were you really that hungry? We have a lot of food at home too, you know...

[He didn't have to eat like a pig. :T]

[ O h. Ringo-chan!! Wait, what was she talking about-

With a confused glance his eyes drift over to the table with a blink. Wait, what. ]

Huh? But I didn't eat any of that...

[ Wow he's not a pig rude :// ]

[She raises an eyebrow, and crosses her arms.]

Really? Then why is it all gone?

[She isn't known for her manners, after all.]

[ Wait, why was it OH NO PENGUIN WHAT.

Finally he notices the blue fiend beginning to climb on the table for more food. In a panic, Shouma will quickly dash over and smack it off the table.

Casually, of course. ]

Uh- I have no idea!! Aha, that's strange.

[So he's just smacking nothing for no reason now?

She narrows her eyes slightly, and crosses her arms.]

Now what're you doing? You're acting really weird suddenly.

[ it's your unluck that the penguins will eat anything, because break sure was enjoying that cake—! yes, okay, break has a habit of eating other people's cake as well as his own, but that doesn't mean he's not going to be a selfish hyprocrite because he really likes cake and there are no morals to discuss about it—

—although it's hilarious if you think break has any of your standard morals to begin with.

there's a hand resting on the boy's entire right shoulder at this moment, and he'll lean his head in over your left shoulder to speak directly into your ear— ]

My! This place is ever so fond of contemptible little strays, wouldn't you say, boy?
