[True to Gamzee's word, on Sunday afternoon, there is indeed stuff on the beach fit for a beach party. Which, lets all be honest here, is something we should congratulate him on cause the chances of him forgetting a party he suggested in the first place are about 42.0% .

It is very clearly not a strictly organized beach party however. A variety of beach related things (seriously, the shopkeepers were hella awesome here and had gladly helped Gamzee bring up a whole load of shit he hadn't even known existed) lay strewn on the sand, everything from beach balls to small, colourful shovels for sand castle building (no buckets, wow, what was he, some kinda perv?) to various drink coolers stocked with faygo, faygo, some more faygo, and just for the people wanting something different, some faygo too.

Hope you like faygo.

Or brought your own drinks.

But seriously, anything you might need to have fun at a beach party is there (except, as mentioned, tiny plastic buckets, please this is a very culturally sensitive beach party) up to a few surf boards, even. So grab whatever you want, find a friend or make a new one, and have some fun.]

[Being the host (but not a very excellent one) Gamzee is here too, of course. He's wearing an eyesearing pair of rainbow trunks and currently thoughtfully staring at some of the propped up surf boards.

Or maybe he just zoned out-- No, wait, he's still with it. Awesome.

Perhaps he needs someone to teach him the basics of surfing. Or just to chat with him. Or at the very least to tell him to stop wearing those god aweful trunks that shit just ain't pretty.]

[Percy wanders over to the surfing shack wearing his favorite color blue swim trunks. He had way too much surfing with Mituna, and a beach party was the perfect opportunity to show off his new skills.]

[Gamzee's trunks certainly catch his eye, and he approaches the troll, smiling.]

[ Annabeth spends a painstaking amount of time deciphering the earlier message. Because she's too proud to ask anyone to decipher it for her, and the app Leo invented doesn't seem to be able to cope with alt cap text no matter what setting she puts it on. So once she figures out that there's a party, she follows Percy and Leo sometime later, having had to shop for a swimsuit before she left. Curious to meet the host, she asks several people and trolls who Gamzee is until she finally makes her way over to his rainbow-engarbed self, wearing a simple blue two-piece. ]

Hi. ...hi, uh... are you Gamzee? [ She's not sure if he's with it or not. ]

[Kurloz can't accomplish any of the above, nor does he particularly want to. What he can, and does, do, however, is start using Gamzee's head as an arm rest. The nice thing about being a ridiculously tall indigo around ridiculously tall other indigos is that there are finally people at your own height.

He'll give Gamzee a moment to actually notice who it is.]

[With a swimsuit like that, it's not difficult to locate their host. Tifa's black-and-red one piece is nowhere near as eye-catching, but probably more complementary. She smiles at Gamzee, though she's not entirely sure he's noticed her.]

[That bit about the lack of buckets isn't entirely true. Apparently someone didn't get that memo and came to the beach with his own. There it is, sitting in the sand, scandalously half filled with water and sand. There's no apparent sign of the owner, though. At least not until-]

[Uh oh! Incoming wave! Sure hope there aren't any innocent passersby on the beach while Lloyd's slashing at starfish in the water with a plastic shovel and enough mana to make a small tidal wave.]

[Nepeta is on her knees in the sand, patting away at it with a spade and trying to shape something that at least looks like a castle. Or perhaps it's a cave. Who knows? She's willing to say if anyone bothers to ask!]

[The beach is a busy place to be, today! Everyone is out and about, ready to have fun or go in the water. Even Kurloz seems to have taken off his normal full-body skeleton suit in favor of something more comfortable. He's still got the facepaint, though. And his swim trunks are... well. purple and bones. He's really dedicated to his themes, apparently, but it's not as bad as Gamzee's.

He seems content to stay away from the water, in favor of lounging around on the beach. Maybe you'll come across him with a bottle of faygo in hand. Or maybe you'll find him making sand-animals. Most of the ones he's doing seem to be some kind of mergoat.]

[And here is Eridan, with a towel placed down on the warm sand for him to lay belly-down on, just enjoying himself reading a book as he relaxes. Swimming he can do later(when no one else is around), he's got the swim shorts for it though, black with purple seahorses, however he's still got a shirt on too. And he's not really feeling up to any activities or the like either, from the looks of it. Nothing but sweet and silent solitude for this book worm as he tries to ignore everyone else and just get some reading done.]

[As if Dualscar could possibly pass up an opportunity to be half-naked and in the water for the enjoyment of those who might be watching. He surfaces, water streaming off his skin, and pauses with his head out of the water to watch someone surfing with a thoughtful expression on his face.]

[Sufferer is standing out in the water, up to his hips (which is basically up to mid-thigh for most people). He's wearing his Zora tunic and heavy rubber gloves over his hands, and watching the proceedings in the water with a thoughtful look on his face.]

[After he's done setting up the fireworks for that night, Leo decides to get his swim on in the water.

He can be seen doing a dead man's float in a pair of black and flame board shorts and one of the tunics. Since the tunic helps him breathe underwater, he's able to spend a long time pretending to be dead.]

[So. Gamzee was a flipperbeast. That's... Actually, that's pretty fuckin' sweet. Aight, so it wasn't anything he had all been expecting, but shit, he could roll with it.

Literally!

He had always enjoyed swimming for sure, but ain't nothing what was as cool as swimming like this. Whatever Mirthful Maker had gone and thought up flipperbeasts was a genius, putting this whole thing together like something what was perfect for swimming with. That sure wasn't anything that just happened on accident. That was some kinda sciency bullshit what ain't no faithful motherfucker went and paid heed at. Nope. Flipperbeasts were fucking miracles plucked outta the great circus tent beyond.

That was exactly the truth for sure.

Swimming in lazy circles, Gamzee occasionally surfaced to breath and heeenk into the open air. Shit, when he stopped being a flipperbeast, he hadda go find that motherfucker what made this miracle happen for him and get to thanking the bro. He wasn't none to sure on why he had done it, but it was probably cause he was just that kinda cool dude what wanted peeps to have great times.

That was definitely exactly the truth for sure.]

[This will start towards the end of the night. Right when dusk starts to set in, a big bonfire will be lit where people can chill, exchange stories and roast food on sticks.

Like hot dogs. And smores! And... wait who brought these giant bugs???]

[Sollux sticks one of the big beetles on his pointed stick and shoves it into the flames, sighing with contentment at the sound of the carapace popping.

Holy shit, Gamzee, you actually had a good idea.

Once he's sure the bug is roasted properly, he offers it to his companion.]

[For the health conscious and vegetarian amongst the partygoers, Equius has brought a supply of vegetables and soy-based "meat" items, for anyone who wants them. It's bad form to use them as a dare, though, so don't do that!]

[Food on sticks? Sounds delicious... for the people who can actually eat it. Kurloz isn't one of those. But he's got a stick for himself anyway, and he's apparently content to just let the food cook on it. And keep cooking. And light into flames.]

[Tifa will probably make herself a smore later--because really who can resist those?--but for now she's content enough just sitting looking into the fire. Bonfires tend to make her nostalgic, and she might be a little lost in thought.]

[Little does anyone know, but Mr. D might kinda maybe no, what are you talking about miss the bonfire times at the Camp. Not that he'll ever admit to it. And not that he regularly attended them. That must be someone's imagination.

Why is he even here then, sitting at the very edge of the firelight and ruining all these kids' fun with that sour look in his face? Well, someone has to make sure these idiots don't light themselves on fire. That goes doubly for the fireworks later. He still wasn't sure how the demigods and himself fit into this little corner of Tartarus, but observation was a good way to find out.]

FIREWORKS

[I dunno, man, some little birdie told me there'd be some fucking fireworks.]

[Leo has spent the last few days working on putting together fireworks for an epic display. He didn't have the time or manpower to do anything nearly as awesome as what the Hephaestus cabin usually does for the Fourth of July, but he still managed to come up with something better than standard fireworks.

Early in the afternoon he sets up the fireworks with perfectly orchestrated timers at one end of the beach. The area is roped off and a few locals are guarding the area so Leo can enjoy the party.

Once the sun has set and the sky is dark enough, he announces that the fireworks are about to begin. Everyone is free to set up wherever on the beach they want with chairs or towels, or they can even go out on one of the boats at the dock. The fireworks can probably be seen from just about anywhere on the island where a clear view of the sky is possible.

Leo can be found standing just outside of the roped off area with a remote/timer in his hand making sure everything goes off as planned.

The first set of fireworks goes off, one after another in hundreds of colors that rain down like confetti.

The second set displays a giant bubble with a city inside of it.

The third set gos off and this time there appears to be a school of fish swimming across the sky in a few different formations.

The grand finale shows a giant ferris wheel in motion with standard everyday fireworks going off to the sides and above it. There even seems to be people riding on the ferris wheel and waving at the audience. One of the carts has a generic couple kissing when the wheel stops at the top. The ferris wheel disappears and standard fireworks fill the sky.]
