[True to Gamzee's word, on Sunday afternoon, there is indeed stuff on the beach fit for a beach party. Which, lets all be honest here, is something we should congratulate him on cause the chances of him forgetting a party he suggested in the first place are about 42.0% .

It is very clearly not a strictly organized beach party however. A variety of beach related things (seriously, the shopkeepers were hella awesome here and had gladly helped Gamzee bring up a whole load of shit he hadn't even known existed) lay strewn on the sand, everything from beach balls to small, colourful shovels for sand castle building (no buckets, wow, what was he, some kinda perv?) to various drink coolers stocked with faygo, faygo, some more faygo, and just for the people wanting something different, some faygo too.

Hope you like faygo.

Or brought your own drinks.

But seriously, anything you might need to have fun at a beach party is there (except, as mentioned, tiny plastic buckets, please this is a very culturally sensitive beach party) up to a few surf boards, even. So grab whatever you want, find a friend or make a new one, and have some fun.]

[You know it's true. Dualscar's fins flick upwards as he senses the approach of a sea creature beneath the waves, and he drops down suddenly, his legs kicking powerfully as he twists to look around.

His eyes widen when he sees Signless, and he smiles a moment later, getting over his startlement, and he flicks his fins automatically, as if trying to communicate.

A second later, he remembers Signless probably can't understand that, and he points upwards to tell him to surface.]

[Awww, fun killer! Sufferer was going to lunge up out of the water at him! Because doing that to someone who lives in the water and deals with dangerous aquatic animals on a regular basis isn't a bad idea at all!]

[Sufferer makes no move to surface; he saw how Dualscar's fins twitched and is suddenly fascinated by it. Was he trying to communicate with them? Sufferer motions towards the side of his own face, then points at Dualscar's fins. Say it again!]

[Good thing Dualscar's not totally oblivious! He blinks at the gestures, and flicks his fins in a pattern again, looking a bit self-conscious. He didn't mean to show this to a land dweller.]

[Well now Dualscar is in for it, because not only did he show a land dweller, he showed a land dweller who thinks it's very interesting and is bringing his own hands to the sides of his face and trying to imitate what Dualscar just did. Yep, look what you've done, Dualscar. Just look what you've done.]

[Dualscar stares at him wiggling his fingers with an expression of dawning horror. Does he really look that silly?

He grabs Signless' hand and kicks upwards, bringing them both up to the surface.]

Wwhat the fuck are you doin'?

Talking!

[Someone is completely impervious to his moirail's bitchy highblood moods, and is grinning happily.]

What was I saying?

[Dualscar rolls his eyes. He's inclined to be bitchy about it, because it's a bit off-putting for a lowblood to be trying to play in his world in quite this way.

But Signless' grin and cheerful attitude softens his disapproval, and he smiles ruefully]

You told me you're an ignorant fish.

[onlyasign]

That's not what you said!

[Sufferer reaches up to touch one of Dualscar's fins.]

Seriously, what did you say?

[Dualscar's fins quiver under Signless' touch and he hmphs a little.]

I said wwe should go up to the surface so wwe can actually talk properly.

[Sufferer keeps one hand on Dualscar's fin, and brings his other hand to the side of his face, spreading his fingers to try and make it look like a fin.]

Because they're silly XD

[Dualscar hesitates.] You knoww, technically I'm not supposed to teach you this. [He looks around, though really, who's going to object? All the other sea dwellers in the city are young.] But all right...I'll showw you a feww things.

You're the only one here who knows it anyway. [Sufferer is surpremely unconcerned with seadweller protocol.] Okay, how do you do it?
