[True to Gamzee's word, on Sunday afternoon, there is indeed stuff on the beach fit for a beach party. Which, lets all be honest here, is something we should congratulate him on cause the chances of him forgetting a party he suggested in the first place are about 42.0% .

It is very clearly not a strictly organized beach party however. A variety of beach related things (seriously, the shopkeepers were hella awesome here and had gladly helped Gamzee bring up a whole load of shit he hadn't even known existed) lay strewn on the sand, everything from beach balls to small, colourful shovels for sand castle building (no buckets, wow, what was he, some kinda perv?) to various drink coolers stocked with faygo, faygo, some more faygo, and just for the people wanting something different, some faygo too.

Hope you like faygo.

Or brought your own drinks.

But seriously, anything you might need to have fun at a beach party is there (except, as mentioned, tiny plastic buckets, please this is a very culturally sensitive beach party) up to a few surf boards, even. So grab whatever you want, find a friend or make a new one, and have some fun.]

[ Annabeth isn't much for swimming, so she scouts around on the shore until she spots someone she's fairly sure she knows working on some kind of sculpture in the sand. ]

Oh, hey! You're Nepeta aren't you? It's Annabeth. [ She's not sure if trolls shake hands or not so she keeps her arms by her sides. ]

[Nepeta's head pops up towards her the moment she's addressed, beaming as soon as she recognizes her. She's not wearing her distinctive kitty-hat herself, but has decided to keep the cat theme up with a green Hello Kitty swimsuit. You'd be surprised at the things that make their way into the bubble.

She jumps to her feet, narrowly missing knocking over her work so far.]

Annabeth! Annabeth, hi! It's good to meet you in purrson, oh yes!

[ Annabeth is surprised when she recognises the Hello Kitty swimsuit. She hadn't seen anything so cute when she was looking for her plain blue two piece! She smiles at Nepeta a little awkwardly - she's bad at smalltalk - but it's genuine nonetheless. ]

Hi! It's good to meet you in person too. Cute swimsuit. You building a sandcastle?

She pats the sand next to her, trying to get Annabeth to sit down.]

Heehee, thank you! And I am! Or a sandhive. I'm not sure which yet.

[ Oh now that would be a thing to see. Annabeth doesn't mind a little Hello Kitty, although her best friend Piper is really into it.

Annabeth grins gratefully when Nepeta pats the sand next to her and sits, dropping her bag out of the way of the sand construction area and adjusting her sunglasses. ]

Oooh. What's a sandhive? Is it something from Alternia?

Sort of! A hive is what we call our houses. So that's what I'm trying to make. A hive made out of sand!

[It's not turning out too well so far, but Nepeta doesn't particularly mind. It's building it that's most of the fun.]

Oh right! Karkat said you build your own hou-- hives, is that right? Not long after your born?

That's right! The drones help us usually, but I didn't need too much help with mine, because Pounce and me chose a nice big cave to live in!

Oh well that sounds cosy. I have a friend who lives in a cave. It's pretty rockin'. [ As Annabeth has learned - don't knock it til you try it! She leans back on her hands and watches as Nepeta works on the sandhive. ]

Oh, it was! The very cosiest, especially when it was cold outside and we'd close up the cave mouth and have a nice warm fire and cuddle up in all the furs! [There used to be a great deal of cuddling going on in Casa de Leijon.]
