[True to Gamzee's word, on Sunday afternoon, there is indeed stuff on the beach fit for a beach party. Which, lets all be honest here, is something we should congratulate him on cause the chances of him forgetting a party he suggested in the first place are about 42.0% .

It is very clearly not a strictly organized beach party however. A variety of beach related things (seriously, the shopkeepers were hella awesome here and had gladly helped Gamzee bring up a whole load of shit he hadn't even known existed) lay strewn on the sand, everything from beach balls to small, colourful shovels for sand castle building (no buckets, wow, what was he, some kinda perv?) to various drink coolers stocked with faygo, faygo, some more faygo, and just for the people wanting something different, some faygo too.

Hope you like faygo.

Or brought your own drinks.

But seriously, anything you might need to have fun at a beach party is there (except, as mentioned, tiny plastic buckets, please this is a very culturally sensitive beach party) up to a few surf boards, even. So grab whatever you want, find a friend or make a new one, and have some fun.]

[ Annabeth spends a painstaking amount of time deciphering the earlier message. Because she's too proud to ask anyone to decipher it for her, and the app Leo invented doesn't seem to be able to cope with alt cap text no matter what setting she puts it on. So once she figures out that there's a party, she follows Percy and Leo sometime later, having had to shop for a swimsuit before she left. Curious to meet the host, she asks several people and trolls who Gamzee is until she finally makes her way over to his rainbow-engarbed self, wearing a simple blue two-piece. ]

Hi. ...hi, uh... are you Gamzee? [ She's not sure if he's with it or not. ]

[At that, he more or less straightens up, snapping out of his surfboard caused revelry to turn into her direction with a lazy, content smile.]

That's me. Who's asking?

[Because he doesn't recognize her. At least, he doesn't think that he does.]

[ No he definitely won't recognise her. She thought it'd be better to actually speak to him face to face than to attempt to respond to the text invitation. ]

Hi. My name's Annabeth, hope you don't mind that I just came along with my friends.

[ She holds out a hand for shaking. ]

[He enthusiastically grabs her hand to shake it. Like this, it should be rather easy for Annabeth to note how much cooler his skin is compared to that of a human. Not... uncomfortable to the touch, but definitely noticeable.]

Now what kinda motherfucker would all be minding that? The more motherfuckers we got to having, the better this shit is, right?

[ Interesting! This is the first time she's touched a troll in person and Gamzee feels cooler to her human hands. She wonders if that's a normal troll thing or a Gamzee thing. Either way, she shakes his hand vigorously.

She laughs in surprise when he seems to talk just like his text message, complete with curse words. ]

You have a good point! I brought some sparkling water and fruit to share. [ She pats her bag where everything is stowed in neat containers. ] You going to try surfing?

[Both a normal troll thing and a Gamzee thing in that it is normal for trolls to feel this cool, but only trolls of Gamzee's particular caste. Trolls, man. That shit is complex.

But it is probably exactly the kinda thing that would interest a science-y minded girl like her.]

[He motions a little at the various cooler of faygo that dot the landscape like... well, coolers of faygo, there is really no comparing that amount of processed crap to anything naturally occurring.

And then it is back to the surfing question, which has him scratching the back of his neck a little.]

[ A science-y-minded girl like Annabeth is interested! She makes a mental note-to-self to talk to someone about troll biology when the time seems right. ]

Wicked brew? [ Initially Annabeth thinks he means beer, but then she sees the Faygo and almost laughs. This must be the guy who told her to crack open a Faygo with Leo that time. ] Oh, I see. Thanks!

Heh, yep. They float on the water. Then you stand on them and let the wave bring you into shore. It... sounds a lot easier than it is though.

The explanation she gives him has him staring for a moment, and shit yeah, that sounds like some manner of fuckin' fun to be had right there.]

Annabeth's eyes widen. Surfing is definitely not her thing, but in the interests of making friends she supposes she can give it a go. At least she can swim? ]

I've never tried it myself. My boyfriend would be better to ask but he seems to be busy so... I spose I can at least give you an idea from what I've researched?
