[True to Gamzee's word, on Sunday afternoon, there is indeed stuff on the beach fit for a beach party. Which, lets all be honest here, is something we should congratulate him on cause the chances of him forgetting a party he suggested in the first place are about 42.0% .

It is very clearly not a strictly organized beach party however. A variety of beach related things (seriously, the shopkeepers were hella awesome here and had gladly helped Gamzee bring up a whole load of shit he hadn't even known existed) lay strewn on the sand, everything from beach balls to small, colourful shovels for sand castle building (no buckets, wow, what was he, some kinda perv?) to various drink coolers stocked with faygo, faygo, some more faygo, and just for the people wanting something different, some faygo too.

Hope you like faygo.

Or brought your own drinks.

But seriously, anything you might need to have fun at a beach party is there (except, as mentioned, tiny plastic buckets, please this is a very culturally sensitive beach party) up to a few surf boards, even. So grab whatever you want, find a friend or make a new one, and have some fun.]

Floating on top of the water is fun, as long as there's not a lot of it under me and I don't have to go in it! [Also she likes having a reason to wear her cute swimsuit.]

[He guides her back to the shallow water, giving her raft a little shove to push her up against the sandbar.]

There you go. You don't even have to get your paws--I mean feet--wet to get out now.

[He totally meant paws.]

[She doesn't get off the raft though, giving him one of her cutest looks.

...she may want him to play motorboat engine and push her around on the water.]

[He knows that look, but not quite what it means.]

Would you push me around some more? It's like being on a boat!

[Cue enormous eyes.]

[Oh no, huge kitten eyes! He is helpless to resist!]

Of course I will.

[He tugs the raft out into shin deep water and starts pushing it back and forth, moving with the curve of the beach.]

[Nepeta laughs, leaning forward on her raft and looking down at the water rushing past under her. She might also be making what she thinks are boat engine sounds... Vooooooom!]

If we go out a little deeper, you can see some fish.

...can we catch some and cook them? That would be fun!

You'd have to do the catching; I'm steering the boat.

I'll catch some for both of us! And for Mama too. She's coming up to the beach as well, right?

I don't know if she saw the memo.

[He gets out his SFC and tosses it up to Nepeta.]

Here, why don't you call her while I take us somewhere with lots of fish?

Okay! I can do that!

[Nepeta types away, leaving Disciple a message that she hopes she can't ignore!]

[While she does that, Sufferer guides them into deeper water and stops when it's up around his chest. Then he stands very still and speaks in a whisper, so he doesn't scare away the fish.]

They're right underneath us. See what you can catch.

[Nepeta's entire demeanor changes as she goes into hunting mode, her movements slow yet graceful as she leaves over the side of the raft, eyes fixed on the fish swimming beneath her. One hand is outstretched - she may not be wearing her claws but she can still do a deal of damage without them.

She waits, and waits, and waits some more, motionless, and then in a flash her hand strikes through the water, a fish flying out through the air and landing on her raft, wriggling furiously about.]

[Sufferer jumps a little when it happens; that sudden burst of motion always surprises him, no matter how many times he sees an oliveblood stalk and kill her prey. The jump makes the tiny fish schooling around his feet scatter, but they were too small to eat anyway.]

Well done!

[Said in a whisper so he doesn't scare the other fish.]

[Nepeta beams at the praise, and quickly resumes her position waiting for other fish to swim by, her tailing twitching back and forth, back and forth.]

[A short time later, after the message, the familiar shape of the oliveblood's ancestor can be seen watching from the beach. She waves vigorously, but does not call out. She also did not wish to scare Nepeta's prey as soon as she sees her daughter in action.]
