If anyone actually wanders up there, they will find the whole village decorated with strings of light, fish shaped lanterns, streamers, and kelp. Just past the North edge of the Village was a fair.

There was a large stage in the center of the fair, rides, a fortune teller, contests, games, a petting zoo, a fish exhibit, stalls, booths and everything else you can find at a fair.

Boo? Seriously? No, that's not how you do it bro. That's totally lame and doesn't work. You've gotta mean it, gotta feel it. Seriously, when's the last time a ghost or a zombie or something has jumped at you screaming "boo"? If you're going to try and scare someone, at least come up with something more original than that.

And I'm betting you that even if you get someone to jump even a little it'll be immediately followed with "oh it's just some dork who doesn't know what a ghost sounds like". It'll be less about the word boo and more about the shock value. If anything, screaming lame ass lines like that is more likely to make them not be scared. if you really want to scare the shit out of people, you'd dress up in fake blood and just pop out of a coffin screaming like a maniac then close the coffin lid again like nothing happened. That's how you scare someone in a haunted house.

[John tilts his head to the side, listening to Dave go on and looking like he's only half paying attention. Once Dave is finished, he looks at him thoughtfully for a moment then slowly gets a grin.] Sounds like a good idea, let's do it! Where can we get some fake blood? There's got to be some fake coffins in there.

And not just that. You've gotta abuse the windy thing too. Get some creepy ominous breezes going on. You've got the potential bro, you just don't got what it takes to use it. Follow the master and you'll learn.

I could do stuff like make doors slam behind people! Forget this - [He jerks a thumb over his shoulder at the haunted house.] - we could make our own haunted house and it would be a lot more cool.

No see, people would be suspicious. They come to this one knowing it's shit, that's the beauty of it. They think they're walking into some lame ass place, they won't be expecting it. It's always better to disguise as something else when what you're really going for is another thing entirely.

Yeah, I guess you're right. Come on, let's go through it and find a good place to hide! Then we can go get stuff for costumes and lie in wait. [Rubs his hands together eagerly.]

No, see, we've gotta wait until nighttime. We can go out and get our shit ready, but we can't do it until the sunsets. That way they think it's haunted at night, and it'll be darker.

[Looks a little skeptical.] You really think people are going to think a fake haunted house is actually haunted?

They will if we make it haunted. Why do you think the windy thing abuse and the fake blood and the screaming comes in for? Come on, use your head here John. We can do this, we can make this shit happen.

Okay, let's do it. So what are we going to do, get a whole bunch of ketchup and dump it on ourselves? Find some old sheets and rip them up to make our clothes look all ragged?

There's got to be a store somewhere that sells fake blood packets. If I can get a fucking x-bass game system, I can find fake blood packets.

Or a bottle or two would be better. We've just gotta find a costume store or something, shouldn't be that hard.

It was one of the big prizes for some of the games around here, but I figured I'd get one some other time.

Having new video games to play would be awesome. [He's been getting a little sick of all the ones he has, after having nothing else to play for three years. But he's not going to admit that.]
