◣ Summer Fair ◢

If anyone actually wanders up there, they will find the whole village decorated with strings of light, fish shaped lanterns, streamers, and kelp. Just past the North edge of the Village was a fair.

There was a large stage in the center of the fair, rides, a fortune teller, contests, games, a petting zoo, a fish exhibit, stalls, booths and everything else you can find at a fair.

Chii didn't understand the reason for the scream, but then again she didn't know it wasn't common in a petting zoo.

So with making her way over, she went to see what it was about.

"Why do you scream?"

Anya barely glanced at the girl, her attention fixed on the terrible creatures.

"Who would put bunnies in a petting zoo? Don't they know how horrible that is?"

"Bunnies are horrible?" Chii asked tilting her head, confused at the subject at hand. The bunnies looked fluffy, but Chii didn't understand if bunnies could be evil or not.

"Yes," Anya answered emphatically. "Don't be fooled by their appearance. People mistake them for 'cute,' but I wouldn't be surprised if they were behind everything that goes on here, plotting secretly in their underground burrows."

And sadly, Chii would believe her.

"Chii." She said, curious as to just how much bunnies could plan things. Maybe they were really the one behind it all. It was actually kind of odd to think about. But since she was the first one to explain what bunnies are she'll believe her.

"Chii won't be folled by them, but does Miss want to leave them here?"

Realizing that people generally didn't agree with her on bunnies, Anya narrowed her eyes at the girl. Was she making fun of her? But no, she seemed surprisingly earnest.

"It's too dangerous to do anything else. I don't think they'll risk revealing themselves in public, but they might if they feel threatened."

"So they will stay like they are, unless threatened?" She asked unsure of what she meant slightly as she knelt down, taking a closer look at the bunnies, trying to get a better understanding of them.

"I think so. I hope so. For now."

She gave a start as Chii knelt down. "Don't get closer! Are you crazy?"

She turned her head slightly, tilting it.

"Chii doesn't think Chii is crazy. Chii was going to take a closer look."

"Well, don't blame me if one of them gets you. I'm not sticking my neck out to save you."

She'd already done that before and it was not worth it. Certainly not when it came to bunnies anyway.

"Chii will be careful." She said leaning in that little closer. Closer. Closer until she reaches her hand out and pokes one of them lightly.

The bunny in question just continues to eat on the lettuce. "Chii...It is hungry."

"Of course it's hungry. Lettuce can't be very filling to a creature that evil."

"Lettuce doesn't fill it up? Chii knows that what food is for, but Chii wouldn't know what could" She said tilting her head a little more as she sat there.

"Different beings feed on different things. Human souls or the blood of children, for example." Considering again the proximity of the girl to the rabbits... "You should really keep your distance."

"Okay, Chii will move away now" she said as she stood up, taking a few steps away from the supposed evil beings. "Being feed of different things like human souls and blood....Chii" She wasn't sure what that meant exactly. "Chii doesn't understand."

Not that she was really concerned for a stranger or anything, but Anya relaxed a little bit.

"What's not to understand? Some people eat pie, some people eat energy. Or babies. Not me, though, I never ate babies."
