If anyone actually wanders up there, they will find the whole village decorated with strings of light, fish shaped lanterns, streamers, and kelp. Just past the North edge of the Village was a fair.

There was a large stage in the center of the fair, rides, a fortune teller, contests, games, a petting zoo, a fish exhibit, stalls, booths and everything else you can find at a fair.

I didn't say you were old, I said you were at an age where you need to consider your health, things catch up with you a lot faster than when you're in your twenties. My dad needs to consider that, too, with his stupid drinking habits.

I appreciate the concern, and it's definitely good to worry about Stein, but you don't have to worry about me. I'm already dead, remember?

[It's part of why he's been letting loose a bit lately. He doesn't have to worry about his figure, he's not going to live long enough to regret any bad decisions regarding diet.]

For all I know, I'm dead too, that doesn't mean I'm going to stop worrying about people close to me.

[Without words, Shinjiro hands her a small cup of cake. While he keeps a perfect poker face, he's very curious to know if it tastes good. Food is no good to share if you're the only person who likes how it's prepared, since some of that enjoyment comes from the pride of accomplishment, not taste.]

His brain is still trying to wrap itself around trolls and and underwater cities. Vatheon's capabilities puts Tartarus to shame and is a hell of a lot more pleasant so far.]

Those are not things, that matter anymore now that being here is a thing that is happening for you. Weird things happen, but it is still a fun place to be, with people that are awesome to be around.

Leo was chilling out on the beach when he heard a loud splash out on the water. He pulled a small pair of binoculars out of his tool belt to try and get a better look. He could spot the empty paddle boat, but whomever had been in it was no longer visible from his location. He tossed the binoculars aside and pulled a pair of goggles and the special tunic out of his tool belt where he'd stored it his first day. He put both on before jumping into the water and swimming over toward the boat.

As he neared he came face to face with the person whom he'd thought had fallen into the water. It was Dirk and he appeared to be doing just fine. Now on top of all the awkwardness that had occurred earlier in the week at the festival, he got to look like an over-reacting doofus coming to the rescue of someone that clearly didn't need it.

"Uh... hi," he said very intelligently.

You're a terrible influence. [Here, have half of this fried candy bar.]

[ Annabeth finishes wiping her hands in time to see Leo walk away. ] Yeah, catchya.

[ Whoops. She must've really set him off this time. She decides not to chase after him as he probably needs time to cool off, and she wonders if Dirk will ask about it or not, now that they're alone. ]

Typical. I meet you face to face and we're both covered in food. [ She laughs and shakes her hands for emphasis. ]

Ah! I see. I've heard a little about that before. I'm a vampire too but I eat all kinds of things just because I like the taste.

By now she's kneeling next to the pile with a sugar cube in her hand, spoiling Svaeth as she tends to do every time she sees him. But at Darkleer's question she looks up, blinking innocently as her smile turns into a beam. "Ooooh, you'd give me one??"

[Jade's still a cheater, she doesn't need to actually push her lamp to send it flying and instead pushes it up with space magic. Watching it float away, she sighs and leans on him.

Jade. Jade. You're doing that thing again where it's weird and date-like. Stop.]

There's irony involved, but no matter what it's rather pointless behind the silliness. [He shrugs.] They'll torture us with fish puns some other time.
