Overflow for Masq. Ball
Who: Absolutely everyone
What: Masquerade~!
Where: The Golden Victory Club
When: Night of Saturday the 8th
Style: Whatever you want
Status: Open like the club's doors~
All day the Golden Victory club had been closed, the only people allowed in being the workers and helpers who were setting it up for the night's big event. Finally, at seven, the lights all turn on and the main doors open.
Leading up to the main doors is a red carpet walkway that will lead right into the main room. There, the usual club room is well illuminated with it's large bar at the back wall with plenty of drinks available for everyone. Along the walls, the club's chairs and some new loveseats are placed for anyone who would rather sit and socialize than stand or dance.
At the back, on either side of the large room, there are food tables with a wide selection, certain to please everyone. Along with these food tables are separate dessert tables. On their own table, there are three, large, cakes that anyone is welcome to dig into. (Although, they're just so pretty!)
In a few, strategic, locations there can be found baskets of masks just in case anyone needs one or wants to try and get one on a stubborn friend.
Lighthearted ball music and slow, peaceful songs lend to the atmosphere; loud enough to be heard and danced to, but soft enough that conversation is possible.
The hosts themselves, along with the staff of Temptationis Clementiae, are already there and in costume, as if welcoming their guests in for the festivities.
[OOC: Feel free to just make an initial comment with a link to the thread you're continuing here and then thread on your merry way~]

still open!
Maka
1/2
And there it is-- she was right.]
2/2
But she gets it now. She probably wouldn't have suggested that she tell him, though-- because this is Maka's business, after all, and she wouldn't have wanted to interfere, just as she wouldn't want anyone else to interfere, had she been in the same situation.
But... then again, she has been in that same situation, hasn't she?
And yeah, that turned out just beautifully.]
That's--
[What can she even say to that?]
I mean...wow. It must've been a long time coming.
[She doesn't seem offended, at least. She's even smiling, because she's happy for them, but... hm, this is a bit awkward.]
no subject
[She's blunt. Being blunt is all she knows how to react to an awkward situation.]
I didn't really want to tell you this way, but...talking about it makes me feel weird still.
[Weird and completely out of control of her actions.]
Anyway...
no subject
'Anyway...']
It's okay.
[They don't really have to talk about it in great detail if she doesn't want to. But it is kind of a big deal.]
This is the first time we'ved talked in a while, so I definitely don't want you to feel weird.
[They should be having fun, besides!]

Cielo
[It's been a while since Yukari has seen Sera, but she thought she caught of glimpse of Gale earlier. She didn't know it for sure. But now she chooses to believe that it, indeed, was him. And she does look happy for Cielo, that he had his comrades here to make things bit less awkward.]
Yeah.
I'm...sorry Serph couldn't make it, though.
no subject
Ah, don't worry about it. I'll just tell him about it when he gets back.
no subject
At least they only have the chatter to compete with now.]
If he does come back.
[There's a somber tone that suggests she definitely doesn't believe it will happen. Sorry, Cielo.]

Bianca!
Hey, I already met you and this is crazy~
So let Bianca grab your hand and drag you to the dance floor]
Then we should hurry before the song is over! Let's go go go!
no subject
Wow, she sure got excited quickly. She laughs a bit, but before she knows it, they're both out on the dance floor. Crazy indeed.]
H- Hey, we don't have to rush!
[There'll be another song after this one, after all!]
no subject
So we should dance to it now before we miss it!

Chibiterasu
[She will! Navigating through ALL the people, and fighting the crowds still coming in late-- and then she spots the table with the masks.
She makes her way over to it, and then grabs the little bottle of adhesive-- and continues to look around for a quiet spot where she can help him put it back on.]
no subject
Also hard to dodge people sometimes. Lloyd accidentally bumps into Yukari.]
Oops, sorry!
no subject
Yukari can only be glad she wasn't holding anything that could've been dropped. She should've expected that to happen at some point tonight, really... so she just shrugs, turning to the person she doesn't quite recognize yet.
She lifts her hand to adjust her mask a little, since the impact and loosened it.]
No big deal.
[Heh. She even forces a bit of a chuckle.]
A lot of people are here, though, so be careful.
no subject
[Lloyd trails off when her voice sinks in. It's familiar, and so is the bit of her face he can see when she adjusts her mask a bit. Where does he know her voice from, though?
It takes him a moment.]

Selphie
[There's a moment where she imagines what it'd be like, if she herself tried to make a cake like that. But that only makes her laugh.]
Me either. We're pretty lucky.
[To have someone else do the work, that is.]
Did you wanna go get some with me?
Yay!
Ooh, yeah! Can we? I wanna try it all!!
no subject
[The cakes are huge! Hah. She gestures over to the one she'd been staring at first.]

Yu
Maybe.
[She watches the same person pass by with the cup. And another, and another.]
I'm thinking punch... maybe juice, too.
[She's making herself thirstier. God, this line needs to move faster.]
no subject
[ it's not like they have much else to do at the moment...
this could make their waiting a little more interesting. ]

[In truth, the thought of gambling-- even something as innocent as this, kind of leaves a bad taste in her mouth. She feels a bit bitter, thinking about her mother, even after all this time, but that's ... probably not very fair to Yu.
So she continues, as if to correct herself.]
I- I mean, I wasn't sure you'd have anything to bet with.
[Laughing, because she's totally teasing him, totally...]
