Overflow for Masq. Ball
Who: Absolutely everyone
What: Masquerade~!
Where: The Golden Victory Club
When: Night of Saturday the 8th
Style: Whatever you want
Status: Open like the club's doors~
All day the Golden Victory club had been closed, the only people allowed in being the workers and helpers who were setting it up for the night's big event. Finally, at seven, the lights all turn on and the main doors open.
Leading up to the main doors is a red carpet walkway that will lead right into the main room. There, the usual club room is well illuminated with it's large bar at the back wall with plenty of drinks available for everyone. Along the walls, the club's chairs and some new loveseats are placed for anyone who would rather sit and socialize than stand or dance.
At the back, on either side of the large room, there are food tables with a wide selection, certain to please everyone. Along with these food tables are separate dessert tables. On their own table, there are three, large, cakes that anyone is welcome to dig into. (Although, they're just so pretty!)
In a few, strategic, locations there can be found baskets of masks just in case anyone needs one or wants to try and get one on a stubborn friend.
Lighthearted ball music and slow, peaceful songs lend to the atmosphere; loud enough to be heard and danced to, but soft enough that conversation is possible.
The hosts themselves, along with the staff of Temptationis Clementiae, are already there and in costume, as if welcoming their guests in for the festivities.
[OOC: Feel free to just make an initial comment with a link to the thread you're continuing here and then thread on your merry way~]

She sees Lloyd wince though, and it reminds her of her own lack of judgement lately, regarding the recent curse; but she shakes it off, trying not to veer the topic onto herself for once.]
Well, I guess that depends on what ya did.
no subject
It's... complicated. I don't know how to deal with girls.
[Now if only he had as good a filter to keep him from saying things like that.]
no subject
And why's that? Did you piss somebody off?
[Only explanation she can think of at the moment.
At least-- the only one she's willing to consider.]
no subject
I... I'm not sure. Like I said, I've been kind of avoiding them. But it's not just that I might have made them mad. Girls are confusing. How do I know what they want?
no subject
It's not like we're a different species. [Jeez--!] How do you know what other guys want?
no subject
[That... actually stumps him for a moment. He blinks at her, nonplussed. How does he know what guys want?]
I guess I just don't worry about it as much.
no subject
. . . is what she wants to say, though she realizes that would be kind of unhelpful, and not really related to the issue at hand. So she kind of thinks about it for a while longer, before responding.]
So then . . . what? Do you plan to avoid the girls forever?
no subject
[Too bad Lloyd isn't putting as much thought into this as Yukari is. Or, well, just not the right kind of thought. He is trying, at least!]
Should I just stop worrying so much?
no subject
No, you're right to worry. You're right to care about what they think.
[What girls think. Especially if they're his friends. Before he gets even more confused, though, she goes on:]
. . . But don't take it so far that you aren't even acting like yourself around them.
no subject
Oh. That's why you wanted me to relax. I wasn't acting like myself.
[And of course she wanted him to act like himself. That was who she was friends with.]
So if I'm me and you're you, then we'll be okay?
no subject
Exactly!
[. . . Just in time for the song to end, too. As a natural gesture, she breaks apart from him as she notices everyone else do the same.
Oh look, they've been dancing the whole time with barely any trouble--]
Well, it might take some time, but . . . you should still talk to them. Ignoring it is only gonna make it worse.
no subject
[The music ends, and Lloyd lets go, stepping back a little bit.]
Thanks for dancing with me, Yukari. And talking.
no subject
No problem. I guess we didn't really recognize anyone after all.
[She chuckles a bit lightly as she glances around.]
. . . But it was fun.
no subject
[He's trying not to be awkward, trying to keep what she said in mind, but still, this is something new for him, dancing with a girl.]
Good luck finding your friends.
no subject
Well, she hadn't really expected that little offer. She's a bit indecisive about saying yes or no to that, but it's obvious she doesn't feel too strongly against it, at least.]
Thanks. You, too.
[...]
I'll catch up with ya later.
no subject
You're welcome.
Bye, Yukari!
[He smiles, then turns to head back to find something to drink. Dancing made him thirsty!]
