Overflow for Masq. Ball
Who: Absolutely everyone
What: Masquerade~!
Where: The Golden Victory Club
When: Night of Saturday the 8th
Style: Whatever you want
Status: Open like the club's doors~
All day the Golden Victory club had been closed, the only people allowed in being the workers and helpers who were setting it up for the night's big event. Finally, at seven, the lights all turn on and the main doors open.
Leading up to the main doors is a red carpet walkway that will lead right into the main room. There, the usual club room is well illuminated with it's large bar at the back wall with plenty of drinks available for everyone. Along the walls, the club's chairs and some new loveseats are placed for anyone who would rather sit and socialize than stand or dance.
At the back, on either side of the large room, there are food tables with a wide selection, certain to please everyone. Along with these food tables are separate dessert tables. On their own table, there are three, large, cakes that anyone is welcome to dig into. (Although, they're just so pretty!)
In a few, strategic, locations there can be found baskets of masks just in case anyone needs one or wants to try and get one on a stubborn friend.
Lighthearted ball music and slow, peaceful songs lend to the atmosphere; loud enough to be heard and danced to, but soft enough that conversation is possible.
The hosts themselves, along with the staff of Temptationis Clementiae, are already there and in costume, as if welcoming their guests in for the festivities.
[OOC: Feel free to just make an initial comment with a link to the thread you're continuing here and then thread on your merry way~]

*She certainly seems to be having more success with the food than the dancing, anyway*
no subject
[. . . Well, sure. She isn't going to deny a perfectly good excuse if Selphie's going to just hand it to her. So she happily accepts, and it doesn't take her long to finish her cake after that.]
And speaking of that-- were you planning on going back out?
[Onto the dance floor. Squall's not the only one who would love a dance with her, after all!]
no subject
Oh... I don't think so... Are you?
no subject
Mm, I'm not really sure. I . . . think it got a little too crowded for me.
no subject
But why? I thought you had fun dancing...
no subject
[Shh, it's totally logical.]
no subject
*Selphie looks at her friend, then out at the dance floor. To be fair, it wasn't like it was a rave or anything with everyone squished together*
Not wanna go dance again with one of your guys?
no subject
Don't be ridiculous. I don't have any "guys."
[Pffft girl, please.]
no subject
Really? You don't wanna go dance another dance with someone you were with before...?
no subject
[She sees that teasing look out of the corner of her eye. Which is why she's having increasingly more trouble maintaining eye contact with her.
Heh. The only "guy" Selphie could really get her flustered about is gone, anyway. She wonders if she even remembers him . . .]
no subject
Okay... I guess they do.
no subject
Hehe . . . well, that smile looks nice on her tonight, she has to admit. So despite how flushed Yukari felt just a moment ago, she can't help but smile, too.
By now, they've both finished their cake slices, too. So at least that'd give her another topic to segue into.]
Want me to toss that out?
[Yukari gestures to the empty paper plate in front of Selphie, which is not unlike her own that's in front of her . . .]
no subject
Thanks!
*She glances out over the dancefloor, wondering briefly if she could give it another try. But instead she brushes some crumbs from her dress and begins to stand up*
I hope they do another ball soon...I kinda like this dress.
no subject
But then she can't help but stop and look at her own dress, at the mention.]
Yeah, I like mine, too. [Looking back up.] And yours looks good on you!
no subject
We look so pretty!
no subject
There's one last grin of agreement before Yukari walks off towards the trashcan, tossing their paper plates within; and then she returns.]
I guess it wouldn't be bad to show off a little.
[Selphie had said no to dancing before, but maybe she'll change her mind . . .]
no subject
You wanna go find a partner?
no subject
[She keeps her eyes on Selphie, even though hers seems to wander all around the dance floor.]
no subject
Sure!
