ECLIPSE ON THE ISLAND TONIGHT!! COME JOIN US!!

[ apparently there's to be an eclipse this evening. the entire bubble itself will be darkened as it usually is at night sans for electrical lights and the coral, but the real show will be able to be seen on the island. it sounds interesting, so maybe you want to check it out? a lot of other people are going—

although if you do decide to visit the island that evening, you might be in for an unexpected surprise. sure, the eclipse itself is pretty fantastic and not a thing one would expect to be able to see in vatheon of all places, but there's something else on the horizon... ]

[Yami is struck again, and the "pain" wakes it, and it quickly smacks down its hammer on its assailant.]

[He roars in pain, and rises into the air, sending flames at both Yami and Kurow. He will not be stopped. He cannot be stopped. He is a god, and he will punish those he sees fit to punish.]

[He knows better by now, and so Kurow leaps out of the way of the flames, landing safely close by. He shakes his head, frustrated.]

This blows. How the heck am I supposed to get him to stop?

[Straightening, he looks around -- for anything or anyone to help with his task. This is a wild fight he's watching, and it makes him nervous just being around it.]

[But Yami is a greater god, and also cannot be stopped. Not by this god, that has no power over him. The flames bounce helplessly off of the shell, and Yami roars as it spins around to dissipate the lingering fire.]

[How, how, how?! He can't think, can't do anything but fight, can't reason, can't strategize, can't do anything but launch himself at the orb again, trying to bash his way into it.]

[Cielo had refrained from attacking Yami, instead throwing himself into a supporting role. Healing, transport, getting locals out of the way, that kind of thing.

Once he's finished, he lands on the ground and turns his head towards the giant sphere. Even though as a demon he has no eyes, he can detect and identify objects and creatures just fine with his other senses. There's something familiar there.

The trespasser. Is that guy out of his mind? Well, from what little Cielo's seen of him, the answer would be yes. He's pretty sure that guy can't control his demon.

He's got to do something before the Ryu kills himself.

So quickly, Cielo takes off and with a powerful flap of his wings, takes off at full speed intending to intercept Ryu. Electricity crackles around his body and he sends a bolt of lightning at the dragon.

From one transformed flying laserbeast to another: cut that shit out!]

[He turns, growling low at the intruder even through the pain. How dare he interrupt his battle? How dare he challenge a god?!]

[He pauses briefly, though. A fragment of a voice floats through his madness.]

['Please stop this!']

[He doesn't move, just growls in confusion.]

[The newcomer in the air makes Yami growl, and it bounces up, attempting to smack into Cielo mid-air.]

[Gods almighty, finally. A sign!

This is getting increasingly strange -- he's never seen creatures like these before in Vatheon -- but Kurow picks up slack by taking to the sky again and throwing a small cluster of swords at Yami's bouncing form.

He assumes the newcomer is on their side. Hopefully.]

[Woah, nice try Yami, but Cielo's agility stat is up through the roof. He ~~steals the rest of Yami's turns~~ evades by sharply changing direction and retaliates by sending another shot of electricity, this time at the dark god.

He makes his way over to Ryu, looking quite small compared to the Kaiser dragon.]

Hey, bro, you're that guy who stumbled into our base the other day, ja? You seemed nice once we all stopped beating each other up. You're a good guy, so calm down already!

[And he swings one wing forward to swat Ryu with his claws. Right on your big ol' dragon snout. He doesn't care if you're a dragon god. Cielo doesn't even really understand what gods are in the first place!]

[That's enough to do it. Suddenly Ryu can think again, if only for a moment, and he lands, transforming back into his humanoid form - but only for a moment. He transforms into his Aura hybrid form, casting a Rejuvenate on Kurow to heal him for whatever damage he might have done. Sorry...]

[How touching, but while Ryu is focusing on healing, it attacks him with a hammer.]

[He could've sworn he saw --

Except before he can so much as throw out a "thanks," the hammer is at it again, and he's too slow to do anything about it. Most likely, Cielo can cover for that.]

[OH COME ON.

There's no way he can do anything to stop it, so the only option is to get Ryu out of the way. The demon quickly rears his head back and roars to boost his speed, and Ryu and Kurow will find themselves able to move more quickly as well.]

Move! Move!

[And a bit roughly, he grabs one of Ryu's wings with his feet to tug him to safety.]

[Ryu yelps in surprise, but moves. And he moves fast already, so the boost just helps. He catches a glancing blow from the hammer but it's not enough to put him out of commission. In retaliation he makes an upward motion with his hand, flames attacking Yami again.]

[Yami bellows again, bouncing after the fleeing group and attempting to crush them under its weight, a low roar echoing eerily.]

[Now with an additional member and a boost in his speed, Kurow is more than eager to keep his distance -- he's always been a little absorbed when it comes to self-preservation. But he reasons that it's wise for them to all get out for the time being, a fact he hopes the newcomer understands, so he continues to inch away, keeping his pace up with the other two.]
