While the villains are away...
Seems like crime has taken a step up from just purse-snatching or someone stealing forty cakes when no one was looking. Those with a great sense of hearing or who happen to be at the wrong place at the right time will find that the good people of Vatheon are in danger. It's up to anyone who is willing to help to work together to save the day!
-Carol-
[In the lower district there were these warehouses lining along the barrier’s wall. One of them had a large neon sign with the words “Villains are here” flashing in lights. Anyone investigating the outside of the building will hear someone yelling for help.
Even if it’s obviously a trap, a hero must do their duty. And maybe clues about the real location of the nest of villains could be found.
The warehouse has been converted to a giant fun house with Indiana Jone’s Raiders of the Last Ark type traps. Getting help with navigating through this maze of traps and nurse themed goons would definitely be a good idea.
At the end of the maze, should people succeed, they will find Carol.]
-Hostage Hotel-
[A message will flash across the Starfish communicator asking for help.]
Help. At the Hotel they have guns
[Any messages sent in response will not be answered.
Seems that the city’s hotel has been taken over. The police are making a barrier and trying to negotiate, without any luck, with the crooks. They have the hotel owners and a their guests hostage on the top floor. They are armed, and very dangerous. Their demands include an escape route and a suitcase full of money.
Are you there to save the day or just get the scoop? Work together with the police or other heroes to save the day.]
-Like a bandit-
[There seems to be a burglar committing a string of crimes. They stole a rather large diamond from the jewelry store, money from the casino, and snatched a vase from an auction house. Thy only thing was a picture or a riddle for the scene of the next crime. The police are refusing to release the previous clues, but a reporter has managed to get a picture of the new message.]
What has branches and leaves and no bark?
-Anonymous Voice-
[A voice can be heard over everyone's communicator in the morning.]
There are twenty bombs hidden all over the city’s park. They will go off in a half hour. Find them before someone gets hurt.
[The caller might be using a synthesizer to disguise their voice, but locating them shouldn’t be a priority yet. Get those bombs out of the park before time runs out. Super speed or getting help would be beneficial for the ducks. Think of the ducks please.]
[They may also wind up stumbling or following a goon back to the actual secret base to listen in on a meeting at their own risk. Good luck!
((If you are open to being threadjacked, then please put Open in your subject line. If you have an idea already and want to play it out with a particular group of people, then please put Closed in your subject. Thank you.
Have fun playing out the scenarios, and feel free to drop a note in the subject line if Carol or the hotel owners are needed or if you believe characters may have solved the riddle! The location of the bombs is random and characters are encouraged to locate and defuse them on their own.))

-40 Pies-
[Someone has stolen forty pies and that is just terrible. Stop that criminal!]
Open
[Yeah. A whole car. That he picked up and threw at a guy escaping down the street with a giant car full of pies.]
[But really, are you going to focus on the upturned car that might have crushed a dude, or the very bewildered looking super just standing there, covered in pie crust and cherries and red filling?]
no subject
Cherry? That bad of a day?
[c'mon, pecan pie, my man.]
no subject
I fail to see what pie flavoring has to do with what just occurred.
...Is that normal?
[He's pretty new to city life, and actually dealing with other people besides his master and other creations like himself is a new experience. Maybe people getting covered in pie is just a part of life????]
[He is pretty sure it isn't, but it never hurts to ask.]
no subject
...Normal? Probably not. I ain't all that old here so I can't confirm nothing.
[He looks at him.]
Pie flavorin' has to do with a lot of everything. Trust me.
[And he finishes it off.]
C'mon, let's get you all nice and cleaned up.
no subject
[Fortunately, the memories this curse has given him have made Saix fairly willing to listen and go along with others, so he just shifts his attention to Grit. What, the guy probably trapped under the car? He'll be fine, probably.]
Who are you?
no subject
Grit. Good to meet you.
no subject
Good to meet you... I suppose. I'm Saix. Where are we going, then?
no subject
We should probably get you into the shower or bath or you're gonna smell like cherry pie...

[He's still a bit bewildered, but coming to his senses as he stares with a slight frown at his hands. Ew. All this cherry...]
I believe he had a... pie gun?
[Apparently, that's a thing. At least in this city.]
Open
He...? [he looks around] Where is this other person now...?
Re: Open
I believe still under the car, unless they have a power which lets them avoid physical damage.
[He doesn't sound very worried at the possibility that they likely don't.]
Open
Still under... EHH?? Why-Why didn't you say so earlier?? [And he's going to rush over to see if... well, if that person is still alive...]
Open
[What? Oh. Saix follows after just out of a sense of responsibility.]
You only asked just now.
[The man's arm is obviously- not bending as it should, and there is some blood by his head, but it seems like pies and miracles protected him! He's still breathing. That's a good sign.]

Hey sexy
[That is most definitely the sound of a chocobo crying in the distance and judging by the sound of stamping against the pavement, it's coming closer. Startled by the sound of the car crash, it arrives on scene not a moment too soon... and on it's back appears to be one familiar redhead wearing what's more or less a full body leather suit with intricate red embellishments along the back and shoulders. Flames, to be precise. Hey, it matches with his buddy here, a large and rather fierce red chocobo who ruffles it's feathers... then proceeds to peck at some of the pie crust which has fallen on the ground.
Fear not, fellow hero thing! CHOCOBO MAN IS HERE. ... Ok, no, that's not really his name because that's just stupid, but Axel doesn't need a fancy hero name to be cool, yo.]
Geez, is that how we're doing things now?
[he asks as he hops down from the chocobo's back, grinning.]
Boy. And here I was thinking I taught you everything.
Wow, fashionably late much, u jerk
[He scowls a little bit at Axel's words.]
I did exactly what you said was a good thing. He was committing a theft and I stopped him. [Maybe from living entirely, Saix hasn't bothered to check.]
U luv me
By throwing a car on him, yeah.
[Sigh]
I dunno if you should've used that much force, buddy.
Lies, maybe
[...]
I take it that I should remove the car, then.
I have proof, bitch
[Reaching over, he pats the chocobo on the back again and he lets out a loud WARK in response.]
... Then we outta get you cleaned up.
I demand to see it
[Saix gets ready to go over to the car before he pauses, and sends a tentatively confused look Axel's way.]
Stealing 40 pies isn't.. normal, right?
It's all over plurk HOW CAN YOU NOT REMEMBER
It's not, no. Can't imagine he'd be able to eat all that by himself anyway.
[Don't worry, bro. You did the right thing... sort of.]
But typically we resort to chasing and apprehending the guy unless they're making death threats against us. Instead of, you know. Crushing them with a car.
WILLFUL DENIAL

It isn't nice to steal~ You should give those back..or at least share with everyone!
[Of course the bandit isn't listening so instead he takes off running. Fai pouts and then takes off after him. Unfortunately for the villain, Fai is pretty quick on his feet and is soon running next to him, much to the bad guy's surprise.]
I really don't want to resort to violence. Please turn yourself in.
[Not happening apparently as the bad guy makes a sharp turn and heads down the alley. Fai stops running with a sigh.]
No one ever listens.
