While the villains are away...
Seems like crime has taken a step up from just purse-snatching or someone stealing forty cakes when no one was looking. Those with a great sense of hearing or who happen to be at the wrong place at the right time will find that the good people of Vatheon are in danger. It's up to anyone who is willing to help to work together to save the day!
-Carol-
[In the lower district there were these warehouses lining along the barrier’s wall. One of them had a large neon sign with the words “Villains are here” flashing in lights. Anyone investigating the outside of the building will hear someone yelling for help.
Even if it’s obviously a trap, a hero must do their duty. And maybe clues about the real location of the nest of villains could be found.
The warehouse has been converted to a giant fun house with Indiana Jone’s Raiders of the Last Ark type traps. Getting help with navigating through this maze of traps and nurse themed goons would definitely be a good idea.
At the end of the maze, should people succeed, they will find Carol.]
-Hostage Hotel-
[A message will flash across the Starfish communicator asking for help.]
Help. At the Hotel they have guns
[Any messages sent in response will not be answered.
Seems that the city’s hotel has been taken over. The police are making a barrier and trying to negotiate, without any luck, with the crooks. They have the hotel owners and a their guests hostage on the top floor. They are armed, and very dangerous. Their demands include an escape route and a suitcase full of money.
Are you there to save the day or just get the scoop? Work together with the police or other heroes to save the day.]
-Like a bandit-
[There seems to be a burglar committing a string of crimes. They stole a rather large diamond from the jewelry store, money from the casino, and snatched a vase from an auction house. Thy only thing was a picture or a riddle for the scene of the next crime. The police are refusing to release the previous clues, but a reporter has managed to get a picture of the new message.]
What has branches and leaves and no bark?
-Anonymous Voice-
[A voice can be heard over everyone's communicator in the morning.]
There are twenty bombs hidden all over the city’s park. They will go off in a half hour. Find them before someone gets hurt.
[The caller might be using a synthesizer to disguise their voice, but locating them shouldn’t be a priority yet. Get those bombs out of the park before time runs out. Super speed or getting help would be beneficial for the ducks. Think of the ducks please.]
[They may also wind up stumbling or following a goon back to the actual secret base to listen in on a meeting at their own risk. Good luck!
((If you are open to being threadjacked, then please put Open in your subject line. If you have an idea already and want to play it out with a particular group of people, then please put Closed in your subject. Thank you.
Have fun playing out the scenarios, and feel free to drop a note in the subject line if Carol or the hotel owners are needed or if you believe characters may have solved the riddle! The location of the bombs is random and characters are encouraged to locate and defuse them on their own.))

Lies, maybe
[...]
I take it that I should remove the car, then.
I have proof, bitch
[Reaching over, he pats the chocobo on the back again and he lets out a loud WARK in response.]
... Then we outta get you cleaned up.
I demand to see it
[Saix gets ready to go over to the car before he pauses, and sends a tentatively confused look Axel's way.]
Stealing 40 pies isn't.. normal, right?
It's all over plurk HOW CAN YOU NOT REMEMBER
It's not, no. Can't imagine he'd be able to eat all that by himself anyway.
[Don't worry, bro. You did the right thing... sort of.]
But typically we resort to chasing and apprehending the guy unless they're making death threats against us. Instead of, you know. Crushing them with a car.
WILLFUL DENIAL
[Man, non-minion people sure are bizarre. Why did he agree to come into the outside world with Axel again?]
[Still, there's no use worrying about it. Saix finishes his short journey and takes in a deep breath. His eyes glow golden, but, unlike non-cursed Saix, there's no animalistic rage. There's just quiet concentration as he lifts the car off of the crook and lets it fall to the side. Hope the owners have good insurance.]
[With that done, he picks up the man, unconscious and almost as covered in pie as Saix. There's a bit of inspecting before he goes back to Axel.]
I think he has a head injury, but managed to avoid being actually hit by the car somehow. [Comic book logic is beautiful.]
[action]
He watches closely while Saix lifts the car off the guy and he tries his best not to wince because, ow, that looks like it hurts only a lot. But miraculously he looks to be intact... and breathing. Maybe they can salvage this after all. With another pat to the chocobo's back, Axel sends it walking over to Saix so it can squat down beside him.]
Here, set 'im on Phoenix's back and we'll head to the hospital. Police force can take it from there.
[action]
And then what?
[action]
Then we get you a change of clothes and a bath because that's... gotta be sticky and not comfortable right now.
[Points to all that pie on you there]
[action]
[Seriously, he's still not over it.]
[Saix falls silent as he follows alongside Phoenix, adjusting the man if he ever thinks he's in danger of falling off. After a few minutes of walking, he speaks up.]
So when is that much force necessary? I don't want to make you upset again.
[Axel did a lot for him, after all. He might not understand the other man but... He can appreciate what he did.]
[action]
Hm?
[Looking over, he smiles again. Looks like he still has a lot to teach him anyway.]
If the bad guy actually deserves it. You know... like if he's seriously hurt someone else.
[action]
[He can understand that. Basic equivalent exchange.]
Alright, I'll do that then.
[action]
You'll get the hand of things in no time.
At least you were able to stop this guy, right?
[action]
Yes. The end justifies the means, or so I've been told. [Mostly be his villainous creator, but he's heard it around since then.]
Now we're going to have to clean you as well, you realize.
[action]
What, because of this? Ah, it's nothing.
[He can just... lick it off. Or something. Right? Speaking of which, he'll go ahead and try that.]
... Hm. Doesn't taste too bad.
[action]
[He's... just going to reach over, and pull his hand away from his face.]
No.
[action]
[Phoenix looks over his shoulder as they keep on walking and seems to laugh. Kweh kweh kweh oh you two]
[action]
[And now the bird is laughing at them, good job, Axel. Saix seems to huff.]
I've lived away from all sentient contact besides my master for all my life, and I could realize that. You're ridiculous.
[action]
[He chuckles right back at Phoenix then, what do you know, they're at the hospital entrance in no time. Axel pats the chocobo and starts to help the injured man down off his back, getting even more pie on him in the process. Ok. Maybe he really will need to clean off after this.
All in a day's work, though.]
Come on, cutiepie, help me out with this.
[action]
[Bluh!]
[That nickname earns a slight nudge to Axel's ribs, but it shouldn't be anything playful as he starts to drag the man up as well.]
You're ridiculous.
[action]
[And up the man goes so they can carefully drag him inside for the nurses to take care of. Once he's being taken away by a stretcher Axel sighs then glances down at his uniform. He's not as messy as Saïx over here, but he is messy.]
Hm. Maybe I will need a nice clean up after all.
[Just gonna droop a little]
Man. And I was gonna start patrolling the streets, too.
[action]
[action]
[Which isn't really a lie!]
But then I heard you.
[action]
[Saix is almost positive of this. He just knows.]
[action]
[His super powers don't involve sleeping! ... Or do they.]
I'd never do that.
Re: [action]
Honestly. And you're supposed to be a role model.
