While the villains are away...
Seems like crime has taken a step up from just purse-snatching or someone stealing forty cakes when no one was looking. Those with a great sense of hearing or who happen to be at the wrong place at the right time will find that the good people of Vatheon are in danger. It's up to anyone who is willing to help to work together to save the day!
-Carol-
[In the lower district there were these warehouses lining along the barrier’s wall. One of them had a large neon sign with the words “Villains are here” flashing in lights. Anyone investigating the outside of the building will hear someone yelling for help.
Even if it’s obviously a trap, a hero must do their duty. And maybe clues about the real location of the nest of villains could be found.
The warehouse has been converted to a giant fun house with Indiana Jone’s Raiders of the Last Ark type traps. Getting help with navigating through this maze of traps and nurse themed goons would definitely be a good idea.
At the end of the maze, should people succeed, they will find Carol.]
-Hostage Hotel-
[A message will flash across the Starfish communicator asking for help.]
Help. At the Hotel they have guns
[Any messages sent in response will not be answered.
Seems that the city’s hotel has been taken over. The police are making a barrier and trying to negotiate, without any luck, with the crooks. They have the hotel owners and a their guests hostage on the top floor. They are armed, and very dangerous. Their demands include an escape route and a suitcase full of money.
Are you there to save the day or just get the scoop? Work together with the police or other heroes to save the day.]
-Like a bandit-
[There seems to be a burglar committing a string of crimes. They stole a rather large diamond from the jewelry store, money from the casino, and snatched a vase from an auction house. Thy only thing was a picture or a riddle for the scene of the next crime. The police are refusing to release the previous clues, but a reporter has managed to get a picture of the new message.]
What has branches and leaves and no bark?
-Anonymous Voice-
[A voice can be heard over everyone's communicator in the morning.]
There are twenty bombs hidden all over the city’s park. They will go off in a half hour. Find them before someone gets hurt.
[The caller might be using a synthesizer to disguise their voice, but locating them shouldn’t be a priority yet. Get those bombs out of the park before time runs out. Super speed or getting help would be beneficial for the ducks. Think of the ducks please.]
[They may also wind up stumbling or following a goon back to the actual secret base to listen in on a meeting at their own risk. Good luck!
((If you are open to being threadjacked, then please put Open in your subject line. If you have an idea already and want to play it out with a particular group of people, then please put Closed in your subject. Thank you.
Have fun playing out the scenarios, and feel free to drop a note in the subject line if Carol or the hotel owners are needed or if you believe characters may have solved the riddle! The location of the bombs is random and characters are encouraged to locate and defuse them on their own.))

[Bluh!]
[That nickname earns a slight nudge to Axel's ribs, but it shouldn't be anything playful as he starts to drag the man up as well.]
You're ridiculous.
[action]
[And up the man goes so they can carefully drag him inside for the nurses to take care of. Once he's being taken away by a stretcher Axel sighs then glances down at his uniform. He's not as messy as Saïx over here, but he is messy.]
Hm. Maybe I will need a nice clean up after all.
[Just gonna droop a little]
Man. And I was gonna start patrolling the streets, too.
[action]
[action]
[Which isn't really a lie!]
But then I heard you.
[action]
[Saix is almost positive of this. He just knows.]
[action]
[His super powers don't involve sleeping! ... Or do they.]
I'd never do that.
Re: [action]
Honestly. And you're supposed to be a role model.
[action]
Even us dogooders need a break, you know.
[action]
[Introduce him to this concept of a 'break', Axel.]
[action]
[
God, it's like explaining vacations all over again.]Some people like to read, some people like to nap the day away... like me.
You like to do things in your spare time, don't you?
[action]
...I used to watch the sky, sometimes.
[action]
That's always good.
[he says and once they're outside he glaces up at the sky himself.]
There's loads to see. Ever see a shooting star before? People say that if you see one, you're supposed to make a wish and all that.
[action]
[It's... weird to have a friend, and be encouraged to do things outside of a specific schedule. It isn't bad, however.]
I don't see how a shooting star would have helped me. It's just a piece of rock hurtling through the atmosphere, lighting up from friction.
I wouldn't have known what to wish for then anyway.
[action]
Don't take it so literally, man. It's just a whimsical thing people came up with for fun, you know?
[action]
[Fun is forever going to be a weird concept for him, sorry.]
'Whimsical' wasn't exactly what I was made for, I think we both know.
[action]
I know. And I don't expect you to get it right away. But don't worry about it.
[Axel really doesn't like the situation Saix had been forced in, but at least that's in the past now. After a moment he turns and starts to walk off in the opposite direction.]
Let's get you cleaned up, ok?
[then after a beat,]
Afterwards we can do a little sky watching. How's that sound?
[action]
It sounds relaxing. I think I would like that.
[Sure, maybe he should try new things to get more used to this new life of his, but... There's nothing wrong with watching the sky with a friend. It won't hurt anyone, and maybe there are some things from his old life that don't need to be tossed away.]
[Although that reminds him. Saix glances back at Axel, recalling a behavior he had seen more than a couple of times while roaming about on his own. Deciding to take the initiative, for better or worse, he reaches over and grabs Axel's hand.]
[action]
Axel, on the other hand, doesn't seem to mind it. He'll just briefly look down then smirk at the gesture.]
Then we should hurry up before that stuff start's staining your hair a different color or something.
[Not like that can actually work, but anyway.]
[action]
[...]
Wait, that was supposed to be another joke, wasn't it?
Re: [action]
Yes. Yes, it was.
no subject
[A cross of his arms- and he makes a slight face as a chunk of strawberry slides down his arms and plops onto the pavement.]
I think I might be better at- sarcasm.
no subject
Sarcasm, huh.
[Since they're not holding hands anymore, Axel crosses his own arms and glances up at the sky in thought. They're nearly to his
secret lairapartment now.]Nahhh. That would never suit a stern guy like you.
[SARCASM. SEE?]
no subject
Unlike how actually working perfectly suits someone like you?
[See he can do this thing called sarcasm too.]
no subject
[Really, he could just pinch your cheeks. But not right now.
Once at the door, Axel pushes it open then gestures for Saix to go on in first. Phoenix is unfortunately too big to fit through, so he stands guard outside... like a giant obedient guard chicken.]
Ok, Sergeant Sarcasm. Take those dirty clothes off and I'll find something else for you to put on when you're all cleaned up.
no subject
[Axel pls]
[But Saix goes in, already starting to strip before he's even past the doorframe. He tries to keep the splatter to a distance as he makes his way through the apartment to the bathroom area. Bathrooms are easy to clean, less rug to stain a bright obnoxious red. He's in the middle of peeling off his pants at the entrance of the bathroom when he tries to glance at Axel.]
Do you even have anything that fits me?
