While the villains are away...
Seems like crime has taken a step up from just purse-snatching or someone stealing forty cakes when no one was looking. Those with a great sense of hearing or who happen to be at the wrong place at the right time will find that the good people of Vatheon are in danger. It's up to anyone who is willing to help to work together to save the day!
-Carol-
[In the lower district there were these warehouses lining along the barrier’s wall. One of them had a large neon sign with the words “Villains are here” flashing in lights. Anyone investigating the outside of the building will hear someone yelling for help.
Even if it’s obviously a trap, a hero must do their duty. And maybe clues about the real location of the nest of villains could be found.
The warehouse has been converted to a giant fun house with Indiana Jone’s Raiders of the Last Ark type traps. Getting help with navigating through this maze of traps and nurse themed goons would definitely be a good idea.
At the end of the maze, should people succeed, they will find Carol.]
-Hostage Hotel-
[A message will flash across the Starfish communicator asking for help.]
Help. At the Hotel they have guns
[Any messages sent in response will not be answered.
Seems that the city’s hotel has been taken over. The police are making a barrier and trying to negotiate, without any luck, with the crooks. They have the hotel owners and a their guests hostage on the top floor. They are armed, and very dangerous. Their demands include an escape route and a suitcase full of money.
Are you there to save the day or just get the scoop? Work together with the police or other heroes to save the day.]
-Like a bandit-
[There seems to be a burglar committing a string of crimes. They stole a rather large diamond from the jewelry store, money from the casino, and snatched a vase from an auction house. Thy only thing was a picture or a riddle for the scene of the next crime. The police are refusing to release the previous clues, but a reporter has managed to get a picture of the new message.]
What has branches and leaves and no bark?
-Anonymous Voice-
[A voice can be heard over everyone's communicator in the morning.]
There are twenty bombs hidden all over the city’s park. They will go off in a half hour. Find them before someone gets hurt.
[The caller might be using a synthesizer to disguise their voice, but locating them shouldn’t be a priority yet. Get those bombs out of the park before time runs out. Super speed or getting help would be beneficial for the ducks. Think of the ducks please.]
[They may also wind up stumbling or following a goon back to the actual secret base to listen in on a meeting at their own risk. Good luck!
((If you are open to being threadjacked, then please put Open in your subject line. If you have an idea already and want to play it out with a particular group of people, then please put Closed in your subject. Thank you.
Have fun playing out the scenarios, and feel free to drop a note in the subject line if Carol or the hotel owners are needed or if you believe characters may have solved the riddle! The location of the bombs is random and characters are encouraged to locate and defuse them on their own.))

[action]
Axel, on the other hand, doesn't seem to mind it. He'll just briefly look down then smirk at the gesture.]
Then we should hurry up before that stuff start's staining your hair a different color or something.
[Not like that can actually work, but anyway.]
[action]
[...]
Wait, that was supposed to be another joke, wasn't it?
Re: [action]
Yes. Yes, it was.

[A cross of his arms- and he makes a slight face as a chunk of strawberry slides down his arms and plops onto the pavement.]
I think I might be better at- sarcasm.
no subject
Sarcasm, huh.
[Since they're not holding hands anymore, Axel crosses his own arms and glances up at the sky in thought. They're nearly to his
secret lairapartment now.]Nahhh. That would never suit a stern guy like you.
[SARCASM. SEE?]
no subject
Unlike how actually working perfectly suits someone like you?
[See he can do this thing called sarcasm too.]
no subject
[Really, he could just pinch your cheeks. But not right now.
Once at the door, Axel pushes it open then gestures for Saix to go on in first. Phoenix is unfortunately too big to fit through, so he stands guard outside... like a giant obedient guard chicken.]
Ok, Sergeant Sarcasm. Take those dirty clothes off and I'll find something else for you to put on when you're all cleaned up.
no subject
[Axel pls]
[But Saix goes in, already starting to strip before he's even past the doorframe. He tries to keep the splatter to a distance as he makes his way through the apartment to the bathroom area. Bathrooms are easy to clean, less rug to stain a bright obnoxious red. He's in the middle of peeling off his pants at the entrance of the bathroom when he tries to glance at Axel.]
Do you even have anything that fits me?
no subject
Yeah I– Whoa, hey, close the door if you're gonna do that!
[And he'll just be... hurriedly walking over to try and shut the door a bit. SHEILD YOUR EYES.]
no subject
Why? What's wrong?
no subject
[... Uh. HAHA.]
no subject
[Just for being a weirdo, he's going to keep this door open.]
no subject
I'm just gonna find you some clothes now, ok?
no subject
[It's just a penis and testicles, jeez, Axel, you act like you haven't seen some before.]
[And Saix really does leave the door open, which leaves a free view of his messy clothes piled into the sink. He did draw the shower curtains shut, however- more for cleanliness than anything. Time for the tedious process of getting strawberries out of his hair.]
no subject
You doin' ok in there?
[Ever since he found the guy and rescued him from his so-called "master," Axel's felt... responsible for looking out for Saix. He might not need to, but he wants to regardless.]
no subject
Ngh- the stickiness is very stubborn. It won't get out of my hair..
[He sounds faintly unhappy at this.]
no subject
Did you use shampoo and stuff?
no subject
Of course I used shampoo. Ugh... What did they make this out of...
[Scrub scrub scrub harder]
no subject
Fruit, duh.
[Sigh...]
... Are you gonna need help?
no subject
I'm not a child, I can do this myself.
[Just for that, he's going to push his hand out from behind the curtain and fling a nice splatter of water at Axel's face.]
no subject
[The water startles him and in response Axel holds his hand up... and accidentally ends up shooting a small ball of fire.
WELL. There goes the shower curtain maybe.]
no subject
[He's not really worried about being in the nudge. Why would it stop him from giving Axel the most judging stare and crossed arms combo ever?]
Good job.
no subject
Are you hurt?
no subject
I don't think so...
[There's a couple tiny spots where the fire licked out and burned him even through the spray of water, but they're nothing serious.]
no subject
... I'm sorry. I should've been more careful.
