While the villains are away...

Seems like crime has taken a step up from just purse-snatching or someone stealing forty cakes when no one was looking. Those with a great sense of hearing or who happen to be at the wrong place at the right time will find that the good people of Vatheon are in danger. It's up to anyone who is willing to help to work together to save the day!




-Carol-

[In the lower district there were these warehouses lining along the barrier’s wall. One of them had a large neon sign with the words “Villains are here” flashing in lights. Anyone investigating the outside of the building will hear someone yelling for help.

Even if it’s obviously a trap, a hero must do their duty. And maybe clues about the real location of the nest of villains could be found.

The warehouse has been converted to a giant fun house with Indiana Jone’s Raiders of the Last Ark type traps. Getting help with navigating through this maze of traps and nurse themed goons would definitely be a good idea.

At the end of the maze, should people succeed, they will find Carol.]





-Hostage Hotel-

[A message will flash across the Starfish communicator asking for help.]

Help. At the Hotel they have guns

[Any messages sent in response will not be answered.

Seems that the city’s hotel has been taken over. The police are making a barrier and trying to negotiate, without any luck, with the crooks. They have the hotel owners and a their guests hostage on the top floor. They are armed, and very dangerous. Their demands include an escape route and a suitcase full of money.

Are you there to save the day or just get the scoop? Work together with the police or other heroes to save the day.]




-Like a bandit-

[There seems to be a burglar committing a string of crimes. They stole a rather large diamond from the jewelry store, money from the casino, and snatched a vase from an auction house. Thy only thing was a picture or a riddle for the scene of the next crime. The police are refusing to release the previous clues, but a reporter has managed to get a picture of the new message.]

What has branches and leaves and no bark?




-Anonymous Voice-

[A voice can be heard over everyone's communicator in the morning.]

There are twenty bombs hidden all over the city’s park. They will go off in a half hour. Find them before someone gets hurt.

[The caller might be using a synthesizer to disguise their voice, but locating them shouldn’t be a priority yet. Get those bombs out of the park before time runs out. Super speed or getting help would be beneficial for the ducks. Think of the ducks please.]



[They may also wind up stumbling or following a goon back to the actual secret base to listen in on a meeting at their own risk. Good luck!

Axel watches in silence, not... really sure what to make of this ridiculous film just yet, then when there's a commercial break he sighs and stretches a bit, feeling tired again. He might take a nap in a bit. Again.

But then he hears that and perks up.]

Huh? Well... yeah. 'course you do.

[croceamors]

'Of course I do'?

[He hadn't realized it was so obvious.]

[flared]

[Awkward head scratch]

We've been through a lot together.

[Is it getting hot in here or is it just Axel? ... Well, it's a bit of both since he's starting to feel a little embarrassed.]

You're my friend.

[croceamors]

[If it keeps getting hotter, he's going to have to get rid of all these blankets. Either way, he makes a small noise under his breath.]

That's what I had thought, but I didn't want to use that word wrong. I'm glad we're friends.

[flared]

[YOU STARTED IT WITH YOUR CUTE BOO GHOST SELF.]

Don't be afraid to get something wrong.

[a small laugh as he pats Saix on the shoulder]

It's ok. I like bein' your friend too.

[croceamors]

Good. It's-

[Wait, wait, commercial break is over, he is reaching over to shove his hand in your face to shut your hole there, Axel. Ssssshhh. Let him eat popcorn and watch giant fish things terrorize people.]

[flared]

Mmph?!

[What the hell agh. Ok fine, geez. Watch your fishy movie. ... Did that guy just get eaten. Might be wincing a little bit.]

[croceamors]

[Saix just makes a small noise each time someone gets eaten. And... There might actually be snickers at each corner over the top thing some of the characters say.]

[Also, he is devouring this popcorn, get it while you can man.]

[flared]

[Glare... and he'll just be trying to snatch that bowl away.

YOU SHARE.]

[croceamors]

[Not before he grabs a nice big handful from the bowl- and tosses it right at Axel's face. This is more acceptable than water, he's pretty sure, and he saw some kids do something similar while on patrol, so he thinks this is acceptable friend behavior.]

[flared]

[fhjdskahfjklsahf WHAT. WHAT WAS THAT FOR.

Axel brushes the popcorn away then makes a grab for the bowl again.]

You little-

[See if he lets you watch anymore TV after this.]

[croceamors]

[Saix falls back so he's reclining against the arm of the couch and keeps the bowl close while pushing at Axel clumsily with his covered feet.]

I'm actually bigger than you, I believe.

[flared]

[Don't think that he won't go after you for this, buddy. With a huff he shifts to get on his knees and try again. Gimme. Gimme, gimme, gimme.]

You're still shorter.

[By a few centimeters, but.]

[croceamors]

Are you sure?

[Nudge nudge nudge!]

[flared]

You so are.

[He's getting hot again, this time not out of embarrassment but slight frustration. Now in response to that nudging he grabs a handful of the blankets and tries to catch Saix's foot to get him to stop. Suddenly you're just a baby.]

[croceamors]

[There's a slight jerking movement, and maybe a bit of gurgling noises as his foot his caught, and he goes still.]

[...And throws a piece of popcorn at Axel's face, aiming for a tattoo.]

[flared]

[Got you. Now stay still and let me-

Axel notices that popcorn coming straight for his face and this time he's quicker to react, moving to catch the piece in his mouth instead. Heh.

What'chu got.]

[croceamors]

[...Impressive. Let him just- try again here-]

[flared]

[He shoots- And yup, he scores. Axel flawlessly catches that one. Who needs fish movies when you can have fun like this?]

[croceamors]

[It is kind of amusing, and Saix isn't inclined to stop anytime soon- unless, you know, it sounds like someone is getting eaten and his attention goes back to the tv.]

[flared]

[Nom. Nom. But then he hears someone about to get eaten too and turns, ending up with a piece of popcorn in his hair instead on in his mouth.]

... So is this all this movie is about? Just- A fish eating people?

[croceamors]

A strange boat washed up the river some time ago, and ever since, bizarre things have been happening, one of them the loss of a fisherman's life. Two people, that medical examiner Sam and the biologist Mary, are hired by a bounty hunter to investigate. It turns out that a genetically engineered monster fish is loose in the river and now they're trying to run away from it to that river house they were just out.

[He takes a breath- I mean, he eats some popcorn.]

The last movie only had the man and the woman survive. I wonder if it's a pattern.

Maybe there was weird stuff in that boat.

Was the last movie you watched a prequel to this or something?

No, that was Sharktopus. It was a giant shark fused with an octopus that was controlled by the military as a test subject, but then its control collar broke off of a ship propeller and it went on a murderous rampage.

...I hear there's something called 'Sharknado' that's going to be on later tonight. It sounds- interesting.

[He laughs a little.]

See, if I were in these movies, I would've turned all those brutes into giant sushi in ten seconds flat.
