While the villains are away...

Seems like crime has taken a step up from just purse-snatching or someone stealing forty cakes when no one was looking. Those with a great sense of hearing or who happen to be at the wrong place at the right time will find that the good people of Vatheon are in danger. It's up to anyone who is willing to help to work together to save the day!




-Carol-

[In the lower district there were these warehouses lining along the barrier’s wall. One of them had a large neon sign with the words “Villains are here” flashing in lights. Anyone investigating the outside of the building will hear someone yelling for help.

Even if it’s obviously a trap, a hero must do their duty. And maybe clues about the real location of the nest of villains could be found.

The warehouse has been converted to a giant fun house with Indiana Jone’s Raiders of the Last Ark type traps. Getting help with navigating through this maze of traps and nurse themed goons would definitely be a good idea.

At the end of the maze, should people succeed, they will find Carol.]





-Hostage Hotel-

[A message will flash across the Starfish communicator asking for help.]

Help. At the Hotel they have guns

[Any messages sent in response will not be answered.

Seems that the city’s hotel has been taken over. The police are making a barrier and trying to negotiate, without any luck, with the crooks. They have the hotel owners and a their guests hostage on the top floor. They are armed, and very dangerous. Their demands include an escape route and a suitcase full of money.

Are you there to save the day or just get the scoop? Work together with the police or other heroes to save the day.]




-Like a bandit-

[There seems to be a burglar committing a string of crimes. They stole a rather large diamond from the jewelry store, money from the casino, and snatched a vase from an auction house. Thy only thing was a picture or a riddle for the scene of the next crime. The police are refusing to release the previous clues, but a reporter has managed to get a picture of the new message.]

What has branches and leaves and no bark?




-Anonymous Voice-

[A voice can be heard over everyone's communicator in the morning.]

There are twenty bombs hidden all over the city’s park. They will go off in a half hour. Find them before someone gets hurt.

[The caller might be using a synthesizer to disguise their voice, but locating them shouldn’t be a priority yet. Get those bombs out of the park before time runs out. Super speed or getting help would be beneficial for the ducks. Think of the ducks please.]



[They may also wind up stumbling or following a goon back to the actual secret base to listen in on a meeting at their own risk. Good luck!

[Oh, it looks like this is going to be an actual discussion instead of Axel just being confused. For that, Saix turns the volume down to considerably more bearable levels.]

[He rolls his eyes then after a beat there's steam which comes from his shoulders. This is his special way to dry off, see.]

What's wrong with what I gave you?

[Look at all these blankets, seriously. There's a bit of shifting.]

You're very... thin. In some areas. I am very much not thin, in any areas, besides my fingers. There were also the hips...

Huh. I thought it would've stretched a bit.

[Then again, leather is pretty unforgiving. Anyway. In one hand he's got Saix's messed up clothes so he goes ahead to toss those in the wash so this idiot doesn't have to prance around in his birthday suit all night.]

You know, for what it's worth, you did pretty good today.

[he says over his shoulder from the other room. Sure, he injured a guy, but at least he stopped him? And he's learned from this experience? ... Axel just wants to bring some positivity into this night.]

[croceamors]

[He perks up slightly, blankets sliding back so that his head is poking out from them.]

I did? [He wasn't expecting that. There's a moment where he mulls over this little tidbit of information.]

...A new movie is coming on. If you wanted to watch it. I could make... whatever it is people eat for movies.

[flared]

[He smiles to himself.]

Yeah, you did. You still need work, but you're getting better.

[Then when he makes his way back he tilts his head, still grinning.]

Heh. Yeah, I'm definitely not patrolling tonight at all. ... But what the hell, why not? People typically eat popcorn for movies.

[croceamors]

Should've done it earlier like I was.

[He has no sympathy.]

[He rises up, still draped in blankets, and starts to move towards the kitchen.]

I'd ask if you even have any popcorn, but knowing you, you probably do. You like to eat.

Which makes you wonder how I still fit in those suits, right?

[Heh. Cute. He looks like a little boo ghost just walking around with all those blankets. Waving over his shoulder he goes ahead to get changed.]

Top cabinet to the right. Don't burn it!

[croceamors]

[Do you want the boo ghost or do you want to see his dick hanging around, Axel, jeez]

I won't. Probably.

[Maybe. It'll be a learning experience. Fun. Saix starts rustling through the cabinets before he finds the popcorn, and reads the instructions very carefully. He'll show you. Nothing will be burnt.]

[Soon enough, the smell and sound of popcorn starts to waft through the apartment.]

[... Can it be both.

Soon he returns, wearing a regular pair of sweatpants and with that same towel still around his shoulders. If he's really not going to be saving anyone tonight, then he might as well just relax and not put another suit on.

... But, sure, if he really has to, he'll fight in sweatpants. Why not?]

Smells like you followed the instructions well~

[he says in a sing-song voice.]

[The popping is bewildering to him, but he supposes that's part of the experience.]

Let me just get it out, then. The movie is going to start soon.

[Oh yes, it certainly is.]

[What timing. Axel flops down on the couch and- What. Haha what the heck is this gonna be?]

[He scoots over and pats the seat beside him.]

People kept getting skewered. Also, they faked human emotion even worse than me.

[Regardless, he shuffles back into the living room, bowl of popcorn held in his blanketed hands, and fumbles his way onto the sofa.]

This also involves giant maneating fish, I believe.

Reaching over, he snags a couple of pieces for himself. Good, they're not burned at all.]

Sooo, you think people getting hurt is funny?

[Look at him, able to perform basic mundane tasks and everything! Also, you're banned from puns.]

Mm. A little bit. I think it depends.

[He falls silent for a while. Hm. He supposes that he can't really change what Saix's sense of humor is. It's different for everyone... He likes stupid puns, for example.]

Well... you know that other people getting hurt is a pretty serious thing, right?

Judging by the negative reactions those being hurt give, then I think I can understand that. And that throwing cars is discouraged.

[See, he remembers these things.]

[Well, at least he gets it. ... But that doesn't mean that Axel won't worry. He sighs, deciding to leave it alone for now, then turns to look back at the TV to watch this... strange thing.]

Existing is nice and all, but in the end... that can't really keep someone happy on its own. Sometimes you need a little more than that, and that's ok.
