Italy had finally stopped shaking, thanks to his many friends he'd made here. He hadn't seen any signs of the Boogeyman (read: Grand Highblood) anywhere so it must be safe to go out again.

A few weeks ago, Medic had suggested opening a bakery. There seemed to be interest in it and he even got a partner, a pretty and very sweet mouse queen!

Now there were two questions left in the country's mind:
1. location, location, location
2. cost?
Everything was essentially free here, though Italy had no idea how that even kept their economy alive (Vatheon was anything but impoverish). But giving the baked goods away for free just didn't sit right with him. He could only think of how poor his people had been lately. But money was meaningless here. So the idea of trading for goods sat pretty well in his mind. Bartering was his old way of trading (in his early country days), but that didn't mean he couldn't do it again.

Anyway, he stood in the plaza, staring at the buildings, sketching them out to see what sort of storefront he should have.

"Ahhh, if I knew you were sick, I would have gotten you a get well soon card!" And then she looked at the sketchbook. "You're a really good artist! I hope that the bakery goes well for you!" She looks at it once more. "What are you going to make?"

"You're so kind~" He smiled broadly. She was so amazingly kind to him and they hadn't known one another very long either. He wasn't too accustomed to people not picking on him as much.

"I hope so too," he nodded. "Ve~~~, I'm thinking of breads and pastries and of course cakes and sweets. Big bro France taught me some interesting recipes."

"It's not a problem at all!" Was it bad to be nice? She was aware of it but she didn't think too much of it.

"I want to try some too when you open the bakery!" She said to him happily. "If you need any help with it, let me know!"

No it wasn't bad at all. Italy was very happy to find nice people.

"Great~" Italy smiled. He was more than happy to share food he made with his friends. "I'll be sure to let you know~. What do you like to do? Bake? Decorate?"

"Both! If you bake a cake then you need to decorate it at once! Oh, the same goes for some cookies!" With the talk of food, this was starting to make her hungry.

"Ve, that sounds great! I'd love the help!" Italy said excitedly. He couldn't believe how many people were interested in this. Despite the curses, this place wasn't so bad. "All this food talk is making me hungry~~~" His stomach added a rather large growl to the statement.

"Then let's go eat something! We don't want to starve ourselves to death!" She smiled when his stomach started growling. She was about to take a step forward before realizing something. "So is there any places we can eat here?"

"Ve, I know the perfect place!" He took her wrist and began to skip off towards one of the buildings. "They have the best pasta, like I'd get at home."

While Bianca was surprised by the sudden contact, she did not seem to mind a moment later. Right now, she wanted to go eat some pasta with Italy! "Oh really? Where is it? Tell me, tell me!"

"Right here~!" he pointed at the nearby cafe. "It's the best!" Oh he was so excited, then again, pasta was one of the best things in the world.

"Then what are we waiting for, let's go inside already!" She shouted before waiting for Italy to go inside with her.

Italy happily complied, darting into the store. Without even looking at the menu, he knew what he wanted. After all, he should know Italian pasta. He was Italy after all.

"Ve, what to have today?" he pondered aloud. So many choices and not enough stomach room. He'd had practically the whole menu twice over and every single thing was good.

Meanwhile, Bianca was carefully looking over the menu. There were so many choices, she just couldn't pick on at all! "What would you recommend?" It was clear that he knew a lot about pasta so she asked him instead. "What about you? What are you going to get?"

"Everything's good here," Italy replied. "I think I'll have cheese-filled manicotti~!" Cheese-stuffed noodle tubes were always amazing.

"Then I would like to try the same too!" She raised her hand up for an order. "I never tried it before so now is the time!"

"Ve, you'll love it~!" Italy smiled, ordering two manicotti. Everyone loves pasta. Who could hate it?

"I hope so! I never tried this kind of pasta before! But if it's anything you recommend, it can't be bad at all!"

"Really?" Italy looked shocked. How could someone have never had pasta? That was like blasphemy. "We'll have to come here a lot so you can try everything on the menu~!"

"Haha, hopefully when we have the time!" Bianca giggled. Despite what she has heard about Vatheon, she doesn't think it's a bad place to be. She met a couple of friendly people so far so it can't be that bad...right? "But for today, I'll have the manicotti!"

"I'm sure we will!" Curses aside, Italy did have quite a bit of time on his hands. He'd love to spend that time with friends and trying everything on the menu.

"By the way..." Bianca said suddenly. "How long have you been here again?" She wanted to know more about Vatheon in general. Just in case if anything happened...

Italy tapped a finger on his chin. "A month or two?" So much had gone on he forgot to keep track.

"Oh I see!" She smiled. "Has anything strange been going on here besides these random curses? I don't see anything that's too odd just yet!" She still doesn't see the real dangers in Vatheon just yet. However, she does wonder when these curses would be too much for her.

Italy shook his head. "Nothing other than the curses." Italy hadn't been in Vatheon long enough to see larger events, like the invasions or giant monsters wreaking havoc.

"I hope that it stays it like that!" And before she could say anything else, the waiter returns with their food. "Hooray, the food is here! Let's eat up and we can talk about this later okay?"
