Italy had finally stopped shaking, thanks to his many friends he'd made here. He hadn't seen any signs of the Boogeyman (read: Grand Highblood) anywhere so it must be safe to go out again.

A few weeks ago, Medic had suggested opening a bakery. There seemed to be interest in it and he even got a partner, a pretty and very sweet mouse queen!

Now there were two questions left in the country's mind:
1. location, location, location
2. cost?
Everything was essentially free here, though Italy had no idea how that even kept their economy alive (Vatheon was anything but impoverish). But giving the baked goods away for free just didn't sit right with him. He could only think of how poor his people had been lately. But money was meaningless here. So the idea of trading for goods sat pretty well in his mind. Bartering was his old way of trading (in his early country days), but that didn't mean he couldn't do it again.

Anyway, he stood in the plaza, staring at the buildings, sketching them out to see what sort of storefront he should have.

Since the REDs had decided the base could be used as a safe house, Italy was able to talk about where he lived (not like he was good at keeping secrets anyway).

"This way~" he said, heading off in a direction towards the base.

"Off we go!" With that said, Bianca followed Italy to their base. "You know, I should probably start picking a place to live soon..."

Italy paused. "You haven't found a place to live yet?"

Bianca opened her mouth and said. "Nope!"

Italy looked at her, worried. "Are you staying on the street?" Not that the street was dangerous here. The locals were so nice. He'd taken a siesta on a bench in the plaza before.

Another pause before she nodded. Although she did have to wonder exactly how long could she say outside for. After all, there were some people outside that were questionable.

"Ve, you could talk to Medic and Heavy about living with us," Italy suggested. It wasn't his house so he wasn't going to adopt people, as much as he would with his own.

Bianca raised an eyebrow. "Could I? I mean, it would be rude to ask though." That and Bianca wasn't too sure about randomly inviting herself to stay at a person's house though.

"Ve, there is lots of space," Italy added. "But it's their house, so you'll have to ask them. Just say that you're my friend!" It was worth a shot. Having another ally wouldn't be a bad idea.

"Mhmm! Of course I will! I can't come into your house without saying anything!" Although she did hope that they were rather nice people. If they were living with Italy and protecting him, they couldn't be too bad!

Italy thought they were pretty nice, but they were mercenaries. Not everyone thought they were nice people. "Ve, great~~~" Italy smiled broadly.

As she continued walking, she looked back at Italy. "So...are you almost there yet?"

"Right there," Italy pointed at a rather large base wedged in between some foliage, relatively well hidden despite its size.

When he pointed to a base, Bianca had to look at it closely. She couldn't quite see it but it took her a minute to realize it. "Oh! I see it now!" A pause. "It's a rather large place you live it with your friends!"

"Si," he nodded. It was pretty big but each had a place to live. It was definitely a base worthy of an army. Italy thought Germany would appreciate it too, if he were here. It was strong and safe and had an amazing kitchen.

"Ahhh, I'm impressed! I don't think I ever seen a place this big before!" While there was that one time at N's place, she never actually been in it. This was probably the biggest house she ever seen!

"Kitchen's this way," he said with a smile, heading inside.

"Off we go then!" With that, she quickly took off her shoes and followed Italy to the kitchen. The groceries were starting to get a little heavy.

He lead the way to a very large, rather modern kitchen. Italy immediately began rummaging for pots, pans, and measuring cups.

"Oh, oh! Let me help too!" She said after dropping some of the stuff on the floor. As she opened some of the cabinets, she went looking for some pots and pans too. Note to self, she thought, she'll have to help clean this up after this was over!

"Pots are in that cabinet," he pointed to one of the cabinets over the counter. Italy rummaged in another cabinet to pull out some mixing bowls and an electric mixer.

"Right, on it!" She said before handing some pots from that spot. "And there! I got some~"

"Perfect," Italy grinned, placing the mixing bowls on the counter too.

[ i actually don't know how to make pasta, so i'm making this all up... ]

With that, Bianca looked over at what Italy was doing. Whatever he might be doing, it sure looked a lot harder than what her parents usually make a home. Now that she thought about it, the last thing she cooked, she sure made a giant mess...

Italy had made so much pasta, he knew the recipe by heart. He didn't bother measuring much, just poured in what felt right. A bunch here, a pinch there. He'd grown more accustomed to mixing with a modern hand-mixer too. So much less time spent on beating everything and it came out just as well.
