Italy had finally stopped shaking, thanks to his many friends he'd made here. He hadn't seen any signs of the Boogeyman (read: Grand Highblood) anywhere so it must be safe to go out again.

A few weeks ago, Medic had suggested opening a bakery. There seemed to be interest in it and he even got a partner, a pretty and very sweet mouse queen!

Now there were two questions left in the country's mind:
1. location, location, location
2. cost?
Everything was essentially free here, though Italy had no idea how that even kept their economy alive (Vatheon was anything but impoverish). But giving the baked goods away for free just didn't sit right with him. He could only think of how poor his people had been lately. But money was meaningless here. So the idea of trading for goods sat pretty well in his mind. Bartering was his old way of trading (in his early country days), but that didn't mean he couldn't do it again.

Anyway, he stood in the plaza, staring at the buildings, sketching them out to see what sort of storefront he should have.

Her eyes widen. "Are you sure? I'm known to be a little clumsy so I could mess up your pasta!"

"Ve, ve, you'll be fine~" Italy reassured her with a broad smile. "It's okay to mess it up. That's how you get better~~~"

"Haha, you're right! At least that way I'll know what I need to work on!" And not fumble over the recipe. "So...what should I work on first?"

Italy went over a few basics about making pasta. The basics were important, of course.

Meanwhile, Bianca was trying to remember all of the basics. Hopefully, she could remember all of them as she started to look at some of the ingredients. Should she make them now or later?

"Ve, how about you make the next batch?" he offered, motioning to the unused ingredients. He could only mix so much at a time.

"Of course! I want to try!" With that said, she starts mixing the batch! Although she was a little unsure if she was doing it right. "If I'm doing anything wrong, let me know!"

"Si, si," Italy nodded, watching her. "You're doing fine~~~"

With that said, Bianca was starting to get a little nervous. While he was a encouraging her, she was worried that something might happen...it was matter of time.

Italy just smiled and began preparing the sauce.

Bianca kept making the recipe until she managed to get the texture just right. Or at least, she thinks it's just about right. It looks about the same as Italy made it.

"That looks good," he commented, peering over at her work while still stirring the sauce. "Once it's thick and doughy, you'll need to knead it and roll it flat."

[ i think. Maybe that's just bread.... ]

[No idea either! We'll roll with it!]

With that said, Bianca quickly tried to roll it flat and hoped for the best. So far, she's doing okay...but she had to be careful if there might be anything near her. She definitely knows that she's clumsy and she doesn't want the dough to go flying! "Like this?"

Italy nodded. "Si, si," he replied with a reassuring smile. "You're doing well!"

"So when we do need to bake it?" And asked when she managed to make thin strips of dough.

"When it's thin, like this," Italy smiled, inspecting the thickness of the dough. That should bake really well.

"Oh I see! How silly of me!" She smiled as she watched the strips go into the oven. "I really hope they're going to taste great!"

"I'm sure they'll do great!" Italy grinned, helping transfer the fresh pasta onto a pan. He took out the other pasta, now baked, and put in the new ones. Now was time to boil the baked pasta.

As she took a sniff of the baked pasta, she found herself drooling. She was starting to get hungry again! "Let's time to finish the baked pasta! I'll get anything else you might need!"

Italy grinned broadly. "Stir the sauce please?" he didn't want it to end up all lumpy. He offered the spoon to her while leaving the pot on the stove.

"Of course~" She giggled as she carefully pour some of the sauce as she was stirring. She's gotta be careful with how much sauce she can put in!

He held the other pot steady, the one with all the meat, tomatoes, and spices, to combine the sauce and make it a true marinera sauce. It was already starting to smell so good. Italy's stomach made a bit of a grumble.

"I can't wait to try it soon!" She giggled as she continued to stir. "It sucks just waiting for it to cook now!"

"By the time it's done, we'll be ready to eat all of it," Italy smiled positively, dumping the baked pasta into boiling water. He was hungry already but the more he waited for it, the more he'd want to eat.

"I wonder how much longer do we have to wait? Another 20 minutes or so?" She said before looking at Italy dumping the rest of the pasta in the pot! She was starting to get impatient!
