Overflow for Masq. Ball

Who: Absolutely everyone
What: Masquerade~!
Where: The Golden Victory Club
When: Night of Saturday the 8th
Style: Whatever you want
Status: Open like the club's doors~

All day the Golden Victory club had been closed, the only people allowed in being the workers and helpers who were setting it up for the night's big event. Finally, at seven, the lights all turn on and the main doors open.

Leading up to the main doors is a red carpet walkway that will lead right into the main room. There, the usual club room is well illuminated with it's large bar at the back wall with plenty of drinks available for everyone. Along the walls, the club's chairs and some new loveseats are placed for anyone who would rather sit and socialize than stand or dance.

At the back, on either side of the large room, there are food tables with a wide selection, certain to please everyone. Along with these food tables are separate dessert tables. On their own table, there are three, large, cakes that anyone is welcome to dig into. (Although, they're just so pretty!)

In a few, strategic, locations there can be found baskets of masks just in case anyone needs one or wants to try and get one on a stubborn friend.

Lighthearted ball music and slow, peaceful songs lend to the atmosphere; loud enough to be heard and danced to, but soft enough that conversation is possible.

The hosts themselves, along with the staff of Temptationis Clementiae, are already there and in costume, as if welcoming their guests in for the festivities.

[OOC: Feel free to just make an initial comment with a link to the thread you're continuing here and then thread on your merry way~]

[Link pulls a bit of a face at the memory.] Right. The carpenters in Kakariko can help you rebuild everything, right? I guess they won't run off to Gerudo Valley again.

[Seriously, carpenters, why?]

You really have to wonder what they were thinking. Going into their territory like that... they were practically asking to be captured.

[That's another thing she'll have to do - talk with the Gerudo about kidnapping. Surely there are plenty of willing men, there's no need to imprison people!]
blessedbyfarore: (curious)

[personal profile] blessedbyfarore 2012-09-15 01:34 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah! They said they wanted an adventure and were sick of being carpenters - I guess they're lucky they didn't get in trouble.

[He pauses thoughtfully.] What would have happened if I couldn't get out? Would I have been punished for going in their area?

[...Welcome to the wonderful world of Gerudo biology, Link.]
zelda_hylia: Embarrassed (Embarrassed)

[personal profile] zelda_hylia 2012-09-15 04:19 am (UTC)(link)
You, ah...

[She'll just be blunt for once.]

The Gerudo are a society comprised only of women for the most part. They take men from other places so that they may continue on their family lines.

[personal profile] blessedbyfarore 2012-09-15 10:06 am (UTC)(link)
Their family li-- [Whoops, and it seems he's got it - he does remember Zelda's explanation on how to continue families.]

[Can he pull the mask back down to hide how red he's got?]

Oh. Um... I guess that's why they wanted to go there, uh... [Distraction, distraction... there.] Look at these fruits! Aren't the shapes interesting?

[Link might be a bit oblivious, but he does learn! She nods at the fruit.]

It looks like they spent quite some time cutting it into that design! Really, all the food here is so pretty it almost seems like a shame to eat it, but... it will rot eventually if we don't.
blessedbyfarore: (little smile)

[personal profile] blessedbyfarore 2012-09-16 12:32 pm (UTC)(link)
[Fruit is the best distraction! Now can he be less red, please?]

Uh huh - it's kind of funny to spend lots of time making something that people are just going to eat. It must be really fun to do. [He reaches for a few cherries - those, at least, are unadorned and thus he's not eating anyone's handiwork.]
zelda_hylia: Curious (Curious)

[personal profile] zelda_hylia 2012-09-18 12:32 am (UTC)(link)
Maybe you should learn to cook. Zelos has taught me some of the basics, though I'm admittedly still not all that talented. You're good with a blade though - I'm sure you could learn to cut fruit into shapes like this.

[Whether he could learn other types of cooking or not is hard to say.]
blessedbyfarore: (curious)

[personal profile] blessedbyfarore 2012-09-18 12:44 pm (UTC)(link)
Do you think so? [He peers at it curiously.] Lloyd showed me how to carve wood - I guess this'd be a lot softer. I haven't really cooked much, though.
zelda_hylia: Demure (Demure)

[personal profile] zelda_hylia 2012-09-19 11:22 pm (UTC)(link)
I wouldn't mind teaching you the basics, at least. I'm not particularly talented myself, but I haven't set anything on fire yet!

[And if he's as talented as Link from the sky was at cooking, setting things on fire might just be a problem...]
blessedbyfarore: (you got it)

[personal profile] blessedbyfarore 2012-09-20 12:18 pm (UTC)(link)
[Laughing a bit at that, he's sure that not setting things on fire is a good thing.] Okay! Do you know how to make sweet things?
zelda_hylia: (Crushing)

[personal profile] zelda_hylia 2012-09-21 12:18 am (UTC)(link)
It's my favorite type of cooking, actually! Though I'm still not all that good at it... I thought about making you a cake for your birthday, but I was an angel that week and couldn't exactly taste test it. Ordering it seemed to be the better choice.
blessedbyfarore: (curious)

[personal profile] blessedbyfarore 2012-09-21 01:02 am (UTC)(link)
You couldn't taste it? [He asks it curiously, not accusingly - he wasn't aware that angels couldn't taste things.]
zelda_hylia: Demure (Demure)

[personal profile] zelda_hylia 2012-09-21 09:55 pm (UTC)(link)
I'm afraid not. I didn't feel temperature for the most part either, and I didn't need to sleep. Really, it was quite convenient... though I apparently tired myself out since I fell into a coma afterwards.

[She looks sheepish, but she doesn't mind being honest now. She just hadn't wanted to spoil his birthday!]
blessedbyfarore: (little smile)

[personal profile] blessedbyfarore 2012-09-23 03:29 am (UTC)(link)
Oh - well, at least you got to sleep a bit! [Sleep is important, okay.] Maybe we can get cake some other time so you can enjoy it too.
zelda_hylia: (Adoration)

[personal profile] zelda_hylia 2012-09-26 08:23 pm (UTC)(link)
That would be nice. The Christmas cakes they have at the bakery here are really very good, we'll have to get one.

[Not that the holiday "Christmas" meant much to her. She does at least celebrate the winter solstice, though.]
blessedbyfarore: (curious)

[personal profile] blessedbyfarore 2012-09-27 11:41 am (UTC)(link)
[Link has no idea what Christmas is, but if it has cake, it's okay by him.]

Sure! What do they taste like?
zelda_hylia: Huh? (Huh?)

[personal profile] zelda_hylia 2012-09-27 06:21 pm (UTC)(link)
The one that I had was shaped like a tree log. Chocolate flavored with some sort of sweet filling... I think it was called amaretto?

[What a chunk of wood has to do with the season she's not entirely sure, but it had been tasty!]
blessedbyfarore: (curious)

[personal profile] blessedbyfarore 2012-09-28 06:27 am (UTC)(link)
Why would you make something look like wood? It doesn't taste any good.

[...Oh look, toddlers in the forest... and putting things in his mouth...]

Chocolate sounds better, though! And sweet things.
zelda_hylia: I'm listening (I'm listening)

[personal profile] zelda_hylia 2012-10-01 05:12 pm (UTC)(link)
[Zelda is obviously focusing on the important things here.]

You have tasted wood?

[Well, Link can be too curious for his own good...]

I believe they make it look like wood to represent a Christmas Tree. I am still not entirely sure what the tree itself is used for, but they do look pretty.
blessedbyfarore: (curious)

[personal profile] blessedbyfarore 2012-10-01 11:12 pm (UTC)(link)
Well - I was really little!

[Eheheh. Moving on.] What's a Christmas tree? I haven't seen anything like that in the forest, and I know most of them. Unless it has a different name.

[Please don't tell him they chop down a living tree to decorate.]
zelda_hylia: (Coddling)

[personal profile] zelda_hylia 2012-10-01 11:19 pm (UTC)(link)
It's a large tree that decorations are hung on. It looked like an evergreen of some sort. Honestly, I am not sure where they got one like it under the ocean. It may have been artificial.

[She smiles at him again. He'll be around for Christmas this year...]

You'll be able to see it for yourself come December.
blessedbyfarore: (little smile)

[personal profile] blessedbyfarore 2012-10-01 11:45 pm (UTC)(link)
[Oh, hey. Link makes a thoughtful sound.] That kind of sounds like what we did in the forest for midwinter. We made charms out of dried flowers and put them in the trees, and the fairies would fly around them and make them all lit up. And for midsummer, we used fresh flowers.

[He smiles fondly at the memory - he had enjoyed those celebrations.]

It sounds like fun!
zelda_hylia: Demure (Demure)

[personal profile] zelda_hylia 2012-10-02 05:47 pm (UTC)(link)
There are lights on this tree too! It's really quite pretty. There's also a gift exchange, though I didn't know about it last year until it was too late to get anyone anything.

[And then Izaya had gotten her something. It was a little awkward to say the least.]
blessedbyfarore: (cheerful)

[personal profile] blessedbyfarore 2012-10-05 02:19 am (UTC)(link)
You get presents for people, huh? [Very faint smile, there - Link is going to make Plans for Christmas, oh yes.]

Should we do something for it? What do you do for it, aside from giving gifts and decorating a tree?
