[GV] - 2 - A pirate's life for me

The host club Golden Victory was closed for the last two days to facilitate a change of theme. When its doors reopen on the first, the change from the upscale classy atmosphere of last month is dramatic. The interior is now decked out to the theme of a pirate ship. There's rigging along the booths at the walls and the bar has been done up to look like an exotic market. Fruits and nuts have replaced the bowls of peanuts that had graced the bar top and the herbs and spices cast a pleasing aroma over the entire club floor. There is a small Help Wanted: Bartender. Contact Zelos for Details sign on the bar but it's oddly hard to spot, partially obscured by various bits of decor.

The hosts themselves have been given opulent pirate attire to go with the theme! Each, of course, has been allowed to add little details of their own to the uniform as long as it fits with the theme, and of course lets not forget the hats. The host list is, as ever, placed by the door for the customer's perusal next to the posting of the rules.

[It looks as if Zelos is having quite a bit of fun with this theme! He's decked out in a predominantly red and pink ensemble and lounging around as if he's a true pirate king! He told you he'd do it, Faris.

[Bianca had been curious about this host club for a while now and thought it might be interesting to check out. It wasn't until that she saw Zelos that she walked over to him]

[He motions to the empty space on the love seat next to him.]

Have a seat! How've you been, sweetheart?

[Well, Jade needs things to do around the place, and to keep an eye on the Emperor so he's finally entered the club and he's handing the last of some organizational materials to Zelos, adjustments to make the place look full even without the coma'd men.]

I think I'll apply for the bartending position. I do need more to do, I suppose.

[Zelos takes the paper, tipping his hat back a bit so it doesn't block quite so much light as he glances over the information.]

Oh yeah? I thought you didn't want anything to do with the club itself other than organizing~?

[Honestly, you didn't expect not to get teased, did you?]

Call me a bored old man, plus it helps me make sure my hard work doesn't go to waste.

[He shifted and sat down, hooking one leg over the other.]

[Ioder seems to be having a bit of trouble with his costume. Granted most things on him always seem a size or two too large, but the large black and gold hat with the rather ridiculous green plume sticking out of it is... well... a bit more than than the tiny emperor can handle.

It keeps falling over his eyes, generally causing him distress and annoyance as he's ran in to more than one wall today.

Currently he's standing near his table, attempting to wrangle the blasted thing to stay on his head properly, and having a hell of a time with it.]

I don't think--... [over the face again. He pushes it back up and grumbles, holding it there.] this is working...

[Asbel noticed Ioder's distress from where he was sitting. Having had issues with his own costume he decided to go over and offer some assistance.

Asbel strolled over, removing his own hat as he did so. It wasn't as flamboyant as Ioder's but it wasn't as large either.]

Here, try this. It might fit better.

[He smiled and held out his hat for Ioder to take.]

[Ioder takes the huge hat off and puts it on the table, trying Asbel's and finding it a much better fit.]

Perfect! Thank you very much. Ah... sorry... it's Asbel, isn't it? I don't think we were ever formally introduced before.

[There might be a small tapping noise preceding the man, because one of the natives was nice enough to give the man a cane to check for things which might trip him up in his way. Another had helped him find the place, though at the moment he's actually dressed in his own casual clothing since he needs to speak with a certain red head about keeping the position or resigning from it.

It might have been easier to do from the SFC, but he had wanted out of the house and thus had left it when no one had been looking.

[With the changes to the decor, Roy may have a hell of a time navigating the club what with false rigging and things sticking out every which way, but Zelos notices the cane and heads on over from where he'd been speaking with a local hunny at the bar.]

Hey there Mustang. How's it going for you? I hear you got sent home for a spell.

[And came back worse for the wear, or so it seems.]

[Yeah, it's definitely slow going. Thanks for saving him the time hunting for you. Roy turned toward the voice and gave a short nod in response.]

Yes. I'm doing well enough now, though I'm still re-learning my way around town.

[He might remember the layout of the place well enough, but that layout had been made with the eyes. He now had to reconstruct it with his ears and feet, in a matter of speaking.]

[Fai is all decked out in his own vampire version of the pirate apparel. He already has an eyepatch so he has changed it to a blue with gold detailing to match the rest of the ensemble.

However, as this host sits in the corner, it is obvious that his mood is a little less dapper then it normally is. He stares out into space as he sits on the arm of the couch he has claimed in his corner. If anyone approaches that normal smile will return to his face..but for now he is lost in his own thoughts.]

[Rin has been spared the more flamboyant wear, and is in little more than a baggy off-white tunic, loose pants, boots, vest and scarf. Basically, an easy costume to cook in but still match the theme.

He feels lucky enough to just be allowed back to work after what happened, but he's not in the greatest mood lately either. Even so, it's easier to notice Fai's dour expression simply because he's used to the other man being so cheerful most of the time.

He walks out from the kitchen to head to the staff room for his break, stopping and doubling back when he sees Fai.]

... oi. You okay?

[Fai looks over in surprise. He should have expected someone to come up, but his mind was so engrossed in his thoughts that he hadn't noticed that Rin was near. That smile returns to his face almost like someone had flicked a switch.]

Ah, Rin-kun..I'm fine. Just have a lot on my mind.

[Now Zelos has never really run a business before. This has lead to some good and bad managerial decisions thus far, though nothing too terrible has befallen the club because of him. Not yet anyway. What he does make sure to do - honestly because if he was working for someone it would be something he'd want - is keep abreast of what his employees need. Sometimes that includes being aware of what's going on in their lives in order to keep them happy. Happy hosts make even happier customers, after all. And Fai does not look happy, which is exactly why Zelos plunks himself down next to the vampire.]

[The sudden appearance of his boss makes Fai sit up a little straighter in surprise. He looks over and for a moment that mask he is usually so good at wearing is unable to be put on. But he finally manages that smile, though it is much weaker then he normally able to muster.]

Zelos-san..I'm sorry. Have I been neglecting my duties?

[Tatsumi arrives at the Host Club and immediately looks for Fai. If it weren't for the vampire, he would probably not visit a place like this. While he's not against it, it's not his type of place.

He spots his friend (?) in a corner, and frowns a bit. Fai looks a bit absent-minded. He wonders if something happened to him. He shrugs and approaches him, almost sure he will smile before he gets there. Fai's fake, sad smile.]

Fai-san?

[Fai is surprised to hear the familiar voice. He hadn't really expected Tatsumi to visit the club..and honestly its been awhile since he's even seen the other man. He looks over and that smile does spread across his face.]

Roxas and Sora - Open!

[To be honest, Roxas wasn't sure about showing up, what with everything going on lately. But in the end he decided it might lift his mood, and having something to do will at least keep him from brooding too much. Hopefully.

He can be found sitting with Sora at one of the tables, wearing a long black vest that leaves his shoulders bare. He has a broad-rimmed hat with a single, black-and-white striped plume, but he's taken it off for the moment to play with.]

[Meanwhile Shirley wasn't too sure if she wanted to talk to Roxas about what happened. It seemed like it was a little bit too early but another part of her wanted to see how he had been doing. If Vanitas was indeed his brother, then of course he would have a lot on his shoulders. However, he had mention that he was getting along with him so something wasn't quite right.

[A young pup has wandered his way into the building! Does he... understand what this place is for? Is he here to make an appointment??

The likely answer is no, but he smelled friends in here and the decor reminds him of a certain ship back home, so there's no way he could avoid checking it out.]

[What do we have here? Well, there's no rules against animals in the club, especially since a quarter of Vatheon is of the furrier persuasion. This one looks like a smaller version of the big white dog that Zelos failed at playing fetch with a few months ago. Did she have puppies?

Zelos crouches down and offers his hand palm down for the pup to sniff at. After being dragged around by Colette to pet and nickname every dog on Aselia, he's learned a thing or two.]

Hey there, Boy. What brings you in here, huh?

[Like the other hosts, Serph's dressed as a pirate, though his colours are predominantly navy blue with silver linings on his coat.

But no eyepatch. He tried it and just. no.

Instead, he has a feathered pirate hat. It is pretty swank. Underneath that, he wears an orange bandanna, though in a darker shade than usual. Serph's always happy to accommodate guests, though if you visit during the curse week, he'll be quieter than usual.]

[Finding the appropriate attire for the evening, Angelo sits at a table near by the bar and taking in the scenery until some customers come by for his first job as a host. He begins to wonder if anyone will come by as he sips his wine, hopefully a beautiful young lady will indeed come to find entertainment.]
