Overflow for Masq. Ball
Who: Absolutely everyone
What: Masquerade~!
Where: The Golden Victory Club
When: Night of Saturday the 8th
Style: Whatever you want
Status: Open like the club's doors~
All day the Golden Victory club had been closed, the only people allowed in being the workers and helpers who were setting it up for the night's big event. Finally, at seven, the lights all turn on and the main doors open.
Leading up to the main doors is a red carpet walkway that will lead right into the main room. There, the usual club room is well illuminated with it's large bar at the back wall with plenty of drinks available for everyone. Along the walls, the club's chairs and some new loveseats are placed for anyone who would rather sit and socialize than stand or dance.
At the back, on either side of the large room, there are food tables with a wide selection, certain to please everyone. Along with these food tables are separate dessert tables. On their own table, there are three, large, cakes that anyone is welcome to dig into. (Although, they're just so pretty!)
In a few, strategic, locations there can be found baskets of masks just in case anyone needs one or wants to try and get one on a stubborn friend.
Lighthearted ball music and slow, peaceful songs lend to the atmosphere; loud enough to be heard and danced to, but soft enough that conversation is possible.
The hosts themselves, along with the staff of Temptationis Clementiae, are already there and in costume, as if welcoming their guests in for the festivities.
[OOC: Feel free to just make an initial comment with a link to the thread you're continuing here and then thread on your merry way~]

Sometime in spring, I think?

I'm sorry, I asked before, didn't I? I was... fairly preoccupied at the time. I'll remember this time, hmm? Especially now that we know you definitely like cake.
[He didn't even know what cake was the last time she brought it up to him!]

[It occurs to her then that since so much time has passed on his end, he might not exactly want to celebrate a birthday, but... it's not about the passing of time for her so much as it is a day to just say "I'm glad you're here" to people.]

[She gestures to the plate.]
He's a sweet boy, even if he has a little trouble controlling his power. Maybe a little rough around the edges at times...
[Zelda wishes she could do more to help him, but all her research on the topic had come to dead ends.]

Or he did, at least.]
I don't think Zelos is letting people back into the kitchens for now, but I'll pass your compliments on later.
no subject
Have you eaten anything yet? Might want to get to it before I do! [A hardy laugh, giving her a wide smile right back before the topic picks up again.]
Oh- thanks! I'll have, have to meet him for myself one day, uh- well after this. Can't get between a guy and his work, hey? [It's hard to be in a bad mood around Zelda. Summoner doesn't quiet remember the powerful puppy crush he had on her when he was here, but it's not hard to see his interest even now. He's pretty free with his emotions when he's not purposely hiding them for- usually- work related reasons. But like this and with her? There's no problem flashing her smiles and just enjoying being in her company. She's a beautiful and extremely kind individual, and from what he remembers, has always been a help to him.]

[Zelda's danced with just about everyone she's spoken to at this point. Parties like this remind her of home, before everything fell apart. Though judging from how uncomfortable he seemed at the door...]
Do you dance, Lysunder?
no subject
Uh, no- I don't really.
no subject
It's not so difficult! I've taught a couple other people tonight. Come on, you can finish this after, hmm?
no subject
Uh...I- [Saying... no to Zelda, how do-]
no subject
They'll taste better after you've moved a bit!
[No fussing now, come along, stand up!]
no subject
D-dangit, I'm really not any good at this.
[A slight groan, slowly standing up and nervously glancing to the dance floor.] You are going to disappointed, uh, thoroughly disappointed. I am just, letting you know, now, I mean.
no subject
[Now that he's being cooperative, she gently tugs him out to the edge of the dance floor - just in case he's as terrible as he's asserting. Positioning his hands accordingly, she glances up to make sure he's following.]
Just step after me.
[Closing her eyes momentarily to get a feel for the song, she starts to sway with it, then leads him right into a simple waltz. If he stumbles, it doesn't seem to make her falter.]
no subject
[Reluctantly- he follows, looking around with anxiety building up in his stomach. But he listens, moves his hands as he should, how brows constantly staying in a steeple position. And he is not ready to move when she does, so yes, he stumbles slightly, growls to himself under his breath and then quickly tries to fix the problem as smoothly as possible. (Which isn't uh- terribly smooth. At all.)]
no subject
[So silly, getting worked up over something like dancing. Zelda continues to repeat the same steps until he catches up with her. Thankfully for both of them, it's a fairly slow song and he won't have to move too fast.]
no subject
[But he is still following her the best he can. He couldn't steal the lead even if he tried. But he's kind of getting in pace now... just, awkwardly, and as he stares down. Trying not to look directly at her chest every few seconds.]
no subject
There, you see? It isn't so bad.
[She can't help but think that something in the air would suit him better, though. Maybe something like what the faeries do... not that she's capable of joining in.]
no subject
It's... I guess it's not so bad, uh, once you do it for a little bit?
[Dancing in the air some how sounds easier than this...]
no subject
Hmm~ I wasn't disappointed after all!

Now you've properly experienced a masquerade. Well... I suppose we both failed a bit at the disguise part of it, but that doesn't matter so much.
