Overflow for Masq. Ball
Who: Absolutely everyone
What: Masquerade~!
Where: The Golden Victory Club
When: Night of Saturday the 8th
Style: Whatever you want
Status: Open like the club's doors~
All day the Golden Victory club had been closed, the only people allowed in being the workers and helpers who were setting it up for the night's big event. Finally, at seven, the lights all turn on and the main doors open.
Leading up to the main doors is a red carpet walkway that will lead right into the main room. There, the usual club room is well illuminated with it's large bar at the back wall with plenty of drinks available for everyone. Along the walls, the club's chairs and some new loveseats are placed for anyone who would rather sit and socialize than stand or dance.
At the back, on either side of the large room, there are food tables with a wide selection, certain to please everyone. Along with these food tables are separate dessert tables. On their own table, there are three, large, cakes that anyone is welcome to dig into. (Although, they're just so pretty!)
In a few, strategic, locations there can be found baskets of masks just in case anyone needs one or wants to try and get one on a stubborn friend.
Lighthearted ball music and slow, peaceful songs lend to the atmosphere; loud enough to be heard and danced to, but soft enough that conversation is possible.
The hosts themselves, along with the staff of Temptationis Clementiae, are already there and in costume, as if welcoming their guests in for the festivities.
[OOC: Feel free to just make an initial comment with a link to the thread you're continuing here and then thread on your merry way~]

But she gets it now. She probably wouldn't have suggested that she tell him, though-- because this is Maka's business, after all, and she wouldn't have wanted to interfere, just as she wouldn't want anyone else to interfere, had she been in the same situation.
But... then again, she has been in that same situation, hasn't she?
And yeah, that turned out just beautifully.]
That's--
[What can she even say to that?]
I mean...wow. It must've been a long time coming.
[She doesn't seem offended, at least. She's even smiling, because she's happy for them, but... hm, this is a bit awkward.]

[She's blunt. Being blunt is all she knows how to react to an awkward situation.]
I didn't really want to tell you this way, but...talking about it makes me feel weird still.
[Weird and completely out of control of her actions.]
Anyway...

'Anyway...']
It's okay.
[They don't really have to talk about it in great detail if she doesn't want to. But it is kind of a big deal.]
This is the first time we'ved talked in a while, so I definitely don't want you to feel weird.
[They should be having fun, besides!]

[After all the times she watched her parents scream at each other and storm out for their own respective ways of coping. She hid in her room under her sheets most often, so everyone assumed she wasn't aware of what was going on, but the barrage of insults from her mom and her dad's pleading and excuses were hard to ignore.]
It's really weird.

That feeling that something is too good to be true is often hard to shake.]
Well, you probably haven't seen Soul in a while, right? [It might be sad to admit, but--] Maybe... it's not as weird as you think.

no subject
Would he do that to you?
[Kind of an honest question.]

[She sounds so convinced of it, she shakes her head furiously. She looks, for all intents and purposes, completely frustrated with believing that with so much conviction.]
Ugh--I don't understand why these feelings just won't make sense. I tried looking them up at the library, but that was just a dead end of more feelings that made even LESS sense and--[she throws up her hands.]

Hey, hey. Calm down.
[...She pauses for a moment though. She hadn't thought about what to say after that.
Ah--]
I... don't think this is something you can look up in a book. You probably figured that out.
