[It's not that unusual to see Izaya looking happy. It's just unusual to see him lugging so much shit with him. Okay, it's not a lot, but by his standard- it's too much.

There's a telescope slung around his shoulder, a blanket under the other arm, and then a basket filled with who knows what, probably heads of dullahans or something, in his spare hand.

He's peering up at the bubble as he makes his way towards the elevator.

When. Oh no. A book that had been crammed into the top of the basket topples out. The tragedy.

But look.

Izaya keeps walking. Wow, his attention must be elsewhere pretty intense. And what is that book anyway? It looks weird. Are those instructions on human sacrifice------!!!

Actually it's just a fairy tale. But who can read kanji anyway? Aw look at the fairies-]

Ahh! So Ruca isn't as useless as one might think! Nnn? What's wrong, Ruca? [Don't do that. Izaya is going to notice.] What are you so anxious about? You could use that sword to impress people. Why hide it?

Aw, I didn't mean that out to say like you were. You just come across as more or less defensive. Which isn't necessarily a bad thing.

Really? I'm very impressed by it! I don't think even my dumb boyfriend could lift that and he can pull out whole street signs. So I think it's really impressive. And in general, so is anyone who can wield a sword. It's difficult, I know.

Did I say that? [He sounds a bit surprised. After a moment though, he merely shrugs.] Yeah, he can. He's thrown whole vending machines and even cars before- uh. You don't really seem like you come from a world with cars though. Anyway. He's really strong.

[That's one word for it.]

You don't seem much like a fighter. [He's agreeing with you here. He can get why that'd upset you.] Well then if you don't want to fight anyone then why are you practicing? Just in case?

No, we don't have... cars in my world. Or vending machines. But he does sound like he's really strong.

I'm not much of a fighter actually, but the situation... forced me to fight. _{[he sighs a bit.]} But I'm practicing just in case. Even though I don't like fighting... that doesn't mean I wouldn't fight if I had to. I've heard the city was attacked in the past, so I thought that if something like that would happen again, I want to be prepared.

Oh. That would make sense...Do you know what a car is then? They're kind of a neat contraption. Same with trains and things like that.

Ah so you're the hero type. So many of those around Vatheon. Makes us lesser people feel really safe. Are you apart of that Defense Group then?

I've never seen one, but I think I've heard something about it. And we do have trains back home.

_{[suddenly he looks embarrassed.]}

W-what... I'm not a hero type or anything like that. _{[he's not! Not at all!]} I'm just doing what I can. Nothing more than that... But yes... I am a part of the defense group.
