Who: Izaya and whoever wants to interact
Where: Plaza. Probably near the elevator.
When: Evening about.
Style: Action. Because.
Status: Open
[It's not that unusual to see Izaya looking happy. It's just unusual to see him lugging so much shit with him. Okay, it's not a lot, but by his standard- it's too much.
There's a telescope slung around his shoulder, a blanket under the other arm, and then a basket filled with who knows what, probably heads of dullahans or something, in his spare hand.
He's peering up at the bubble as he makes his way towards the elevator.
When. Oh no. A book that had been crammed into the top of the basket topples out. The tragedy.
But look.
Izaya keeps walking. Wow, his attention must be elsewhere pretty intense. And what is that book anyway? It looks weird. Are those instructions on human sacrifice------!!!
Actually it's just a fairy tale. But who can read kanji anyway? Aw look at the fairies-]

Because really, a telescope is way better than a book, right?
Yukki stares, unintentionally of course, at the large item which hung against his shoulder; eyes clearly interested at the content. For when there was a telescope, there were also stars involved, and boy did he love looking at some stars! ]
Um...? [ Only slightly hesitant at first, but there was nothing that was going to stop him from finding out-!! ] That's a lot of stuff you have there. Are you planning to watch to the stars? [ Can you hear the excitement in his voice? ]
no subject
Oh wait. That's okay because Izaya probably didn't actually give much of a damn about that book anyway. Screw the past! Live in the future.
Of star gazing.]
Hm? [Teenage boy? Unfamiliar face? Izaya stops completely and stares at him for a prolonged moment. He doesn't recognize you.]
Oh, this? [The telescope?] No, I was going to build a boat with it.
[Can you hear the sarcasm in his voice?
No but seriously. WICKED ENTHUSIASTIC SMILE. And maybe even a chuckle that could be considered friendly.]
No, no, I'm kidding. Yeah! I'm popping up onto the island to get a look around at the galaxy we're stuck in. I'm not great with constellations or anything but I figured I could try it out, right? I've been meaning to pick up a new hobby lately anyway....
[But he has sensed your interest, kid.] - Have you done much star gazing?
no subject
Exactly! You gotta put your past behind ya!
HAKUNA MATATABUT YEAH so Yukki offers a friendly smile until he noticed that the other male just keeps... staring. It was alright for a moment, and the boy was easily able to brush it aside with a tiny fit of nervous laughter, but—— oh yay words! ] W- wait, a boat? [ Sorry, but you're dealing with Mister Gullible here whom, at the current moment, wasn't sure if he was playing around or just plain stupid.
He was going to go with the first one. ] Oh? Eheh, I knew that! [ Or not. Details. ] You may not know about it now, but maybe if star gazing becomes your new hobby, you can learn a lot from it!
[ Oh no he's been caught. ] Uh huh, I love it! But I haven't done it recently...
no subject
Oh but you just let your gullibility shine through like a beacon and Izaya is NOT the person you want to show that around.
Hello new pawn. How are you today? Gosh, you're awfully cute. AND SCREWED-]
Heh, of course you did. [But said oh-so-kindly. He would never want you to feel patronized or anything.]
Really? Like what? [Yes. Izaya is so fascinated. Actually, he kind of is. He likes to learn. Everything he can really.- and oh how convenient.]
Hey! You should come with me then. I'm new to it so you can teach me the tricks of the trade, hm? Besides, I'd rather company than no company. Come on.
[Don't mind him...he's just going to....You know. Come up behind the stranger and nudge him in the back to start a -walking. Well, he would've grabbed his arm or something but obviously his hands are full.]
So what's your name?
no subject
Maybe not, but apparently Yukiteru's signal for catching weridos might have run out of batteries. Oops.
You might want to be careful there, Izaya. This kid comes with a packaged deal, and the other half isn't as forgiving. Also he is completely manly, thank you very much.
But... oh. This guy was awfully nice, wasn't he? Usually if he didn't catch on to a joke he would be laughed at, but Izaya actually believed him! This caused a small flutter in the pit of his stomach. It was nice, though. A feeling the boy wasn't necessarily use to.
And so he nodded, just a little bashful. ] Well... I heard if you ever get lost, you can read the stars to find where you are going! People could tell the weather and days just by looking up there— it's pretty amazing!
[ W- wait. Did he just— ] M- me? You want me to come, too? [ Yeah okay this was kind of a Big Deal considering the number of his friends. Which... wasn't that many. But before Yukki could say anything else he was already being nudged forward. It's not going to take him a lot to follow along. ]
I'm... my name is Yukiteru Amano. It's nice to meet you!
no subject
That and his other half is a bombshell and a half too.
WHO SHALL WIN.
Yes. He is as manly as Izaya.
....Oh wait.
Izaya is the sweetest person you will ever meet ever.]
I've heard that too. But I've never been able to really depend on it. I come from a bit of a big city and we didn't get to see stars too often. Wow! Really? The weather? Hn, I didn't know that.
[He looks truly fascinated- and hey, maybe it is authentic, that is pretty interesting-] Yeah, you. I'm going to need someone to help me and I doubt that the books I rented aren't going to be as helpful as you. Besides, you seem like such a nice kid.
It's nice to meet you too, Yukiteru Amano. I'm Orihara Izaya. [Let's be friends because you will benefit so much from this relationship! Like. So much. To the elevator they go and Izaya steps in. He really does love meeting new people, ho-boy.]
oops this is not late
DON'T STEP ON ANY TOES, IZAYA. ]
Uh huh. You can't see many stars were I live, either. That's why we usually have to travel to the countryside— [ Ah. He is just going to drop the sentence there. The last time he traveled with someone to see the stars it... didn't go as planned.
ANYWAYS. ] O-oh okay! I'll try to be as helpful as I can, I promise! [ Stop it, you're making him a little more excited than he should be. ]
Ah, Orihara-kun! [ He repeats the name, a little happily, before falling to his side. This was going to be great! Someone who was as equally interested in stars as he was and on top of that, he was making a new friend!
He knew this was a good idea to talk to him! ]
