[ Twilight fades into the darkness of evening, and a whole gaggle of trolls are up on the island to camp out for one very big reason.

One big, angry, honking reason.

But general terror of the Grand Highblood aside, they're still fairly functional in-so-much as trolls ever are. And that's where the shenanigans come in. ]

[His face goes a little more quiet as he tries to recall it all.]

Uh, she like... did this fuckin' thing to a brother's slime what made it all sorts of fuckin' wicked strong. Strong enough to knock a motherfucker down on his nook, you get. But like, we couldn't just tell that motherfucker to grub on it, so we made a plan.

I went down and all met with his and just... tried to keep him getting his fuckin' distraction on and chill. And Eridan up and got to sneaking around him and fuckin' shot him. Hit the fucker right in the motherfuckin' husk with a dose full of super slime.

[She reaches out to pat his shoulder, and then decides that that's not enough and he deserves another hug for having to remember something like that again.]

You all worked together and efurything was okay...it'll be like that again this time, I'm sure!

[He leans into the hugs, before smiling, for her sake if anything.]

Eridan ain't gonna all want to be fuckin' helping me. But I'm sure Karkat will fuckin' figure some shit out. That is what he be rocking at.

He's upset. He purrobably just needs a bit more time. But if not we'll find another way fur sure, just like you said. Karkat's the bestest at making purrlans.

[So many hugs. She can tell he's making an effort for her sake.]

Purrhaps! I'll look fur him later. I was going to tell him when we were talking befur coming up to the island but then he hung up on me.

[She sighed. She was worried about Karkat, and rather mad at herself for apparently always saying the wrong thing when talking to him.]

He wasn't even yelling at me though so it was worse, I just think I said the wrong thing to him and he said he didn't want to talk about it and that was it.

[She sighs and leans against the other troll, looking down at her blue-gloved hands.] I want to do more to help him out but I don't think I'll efur really be able to.

[He reaches up to settle his hands on her shoulders, giving her a reassuring squeeze.]

Even just all getting your try on is enough.

[She offers him half a smile, still a little upset over how she'd been cut off. She only blames herself, though, of course Karkat didn't want to talk about it, especially not with her.]

No, it's okay. I can tell you. I was telling him about Signless...he'd said he'd be my dad! Like he is to Karkat and Darkleer is fur you and Equius. And I asked Karkat if that meant we could be brother and sister, like humans are when they have the same lusus and he didn't say no, not exactly, and...I'd better just show you.

[She gets her SFC out, poking at it until she finds the conversation in question.]

[Gamzee reads over the conversation, helpless against the pale ache once he gets to the end of it. Oh, he gets why Karkat responded like that. Makes him wanna go find his best bro and sweep him down into a pile and make him jam, but it don't work that way. Karkat gotta work this out himself first.]

Don't worry about it, chica. You ain't did nothing the motherfuck wrong. Karkat just... Best friend is all being the kind of motherfucker what gets his pan loaded down real motherfuckin' heavy with all sorts of thoughts. And he likes to all sort through shit hisself before getting down to jam, cause else he ain't even know what shit to say. He'll just get to fronting about every motherfuckin' thing but what thing is fuckin' being a thorn in his hoof.

And... with what be happening, he ain't gotta the time much to be thinking about all that noise. Bro is in fuckin' leader mode now and probably won't be thinking none about that stuff until it is all done with. It's cool. He just needs him some time.

[And now she's afraid maybe she's upset Gamzee too. This is why roleplaying is easier sometimes, it doesn't matter as much when a character she's playing makes a mistake.]

But it's nefur going to be done with, is it?! There's always something! None of us is efur going to... [She shakes her head, making herself shut up. This isn't like her. She really needs Equius right now, but he's off patrolling somewhere and she's already bothered him once today.]

I'm sorry, Gamzee. I think purrhaps I didn't realize how upset I've been we've all had to leave our hives and hide.

[Now it is his turn to sweep her up into a hug, squeezing her.]

Awww, no. Don't you get to thinkin' like that, sister. Shit is gonna sort itself out. Now don't you fuckin' worry about that. We got miracles coming, aight? I just feel it.

[She nods against his shoulder, burrowing against him.]

Yes. Yes, you're right. It's just so furry hard not to worry about efurything, beclaws I don't want anything bad to happen to anyone else efur again.

Yeah, Yeah, I got it. [He squeezes her a little tighter.] Just all gotta make real fuckin' sure you ain't as motherfuckin' worried as to not being able to get your see on for what miracles we still got.

[She holds on fiercely, feeling bad for putting Gamzee in the position of having to comfort her yet again but extremely grateful to have him there at the same time.]

We've got efuryone working together to make things okay, r-right? So that's already a pretty good thing.

[It's fine. He likes being comforting. It is always good if you can make your bros smile.]

Yeah! And shit, like... we all took down that Black King motherfucker like that and the Grand Asstruck [Karkat, your nicknames are infectious.] ain't even half as ugly as that bro.

[She finally giggles a little at what he calls the Grand Highblood; it's a hiccupy sort of sound, but at least he's doing a good job of making her feel better.]

And then we'll all go back to our hives and no one will get hurt any more.
