2nd Combo - A Fairy Tale Knight
Characters: Lloyd Irving and every eligible-- everyone
Location: All over the place
Time: From dawn until dusk
Style: You pick and I'll match
Status: Open
[It's been two days since he started coming to his senses, the false memories of that other life already fading back into the ether of whatever spell had created them. As they disappear, though, he remembers. The ball, the one he'd danced with, that moment of timeless magic when their eyes had met and their hearts had known.
The tolling of the bell as midnight approached.
His partner had fled, he didn't know why - but they'd left their shoe behind. The shoe he now holds clutched in his hands. It must have been crafted with magic, he knows, because there is no other way to explain how the delicate glass could support a person's weight without breaking. Surely this shoe was made to fit one foot and one foot alone. It's the only clue he has to the identity of his love. He doesn't even know his love's name or gender. He only knows that they hold his heart.
And that he's going to find them, even if he has to try this shoe on every person in the land.
Speaking of which...
He approaches the next person he sees, giving them a bow fit for the knight he is.]
Excuse me, yes, you. Your pardon, but can I have a moment of your time?
[ooc: Only a "Cinderella" will fit the shoe. Let me know if this is the case. o/]

Sure, what can I help you with?
[Chie didn't exactly make direct eye contact. She was still nervous about being out and about with her new cat appearance.]
no subject
Just... give him a moment to stare. Just a little. And adjust to the thought of maybe marrying a cat.]
I, uh... Oh, yeah!
[He draws himself up, taking a deep breath. Right, focus.]
I'm seeking someone I lost, but all I have is their shoe. Please.
[He holds the glass shoe up.]
Will you allow me to try it on your foot?
[...that sounded less crazy in his head.]
no subject
A few times. What even..]
I..guess you could, yeah, but I doubt it's mine to be honest. I don't wear stuff like that.
Or at the very least I don't think I do. As far as I know I've only been wearing these but if you really insist I guess I can try it on...
[She looked down at her ridiculous boots. Of course she'd have these, she was Puss in Boots, but it was sort of sadly accurate considering all the leg-wear she used to fight shadows.
Yes, the next 5 minutes get wasted by trying to get these huge boots off.]
no subject
No, he can't give up hope. If he'd been having trouble remembering things, maybe she was such a victim, too. He can't say it's not her until she tries on the shoe
He kneels down, and, uh, wow, awkward moment waiting. Doesn't she know how to take her own boots off?]
Do you want any help?
no subject
Have you ever tried taking off thigh-high boots that look this weird before? It's just sort of difficult to get out of them..
[She laughed a bit nervously. There, boot off. About time. And oh look, her feet were cat feet too.]

[1/2] Cinderella here! I hope you didn't have anyone else in mind. |D; I didn't exactly announce it
There are moments where she wonders exactly what she's doing here, though. Moments where everything just seems so distant, and so strange--
And she'll suddenly find herself with a strong desire to attend the ball. She was invited, wasn't she? She's got to go...
Even now, as the stranger approaches, she can't shake the thoughts out of her head. Her prince charming...isn't he waiting for her? Waiting to meet her?]
[2/2] ...ALSO DREAMWIDTH PLEASE LET ME SUBMITTHIS THANKS...
M...Me?
[The shoe in his hand, that's...]
Hah, it's fine~ If there's more than one Cinderella, I'll just go with it and blame it all on magic~
But it might.
Taking a deep breath, he tries to regain his composure. This really is important.]
I'm looking for someone I met at the ball. Please, it's important I find them. All I have is the shoe they left behind.
[He meets her eyes.]
Will you... try it on?
Great <3 Haha, magic and time shenanigans.
The ball.
Yes, she's...she's got to prepare. Vatheon often has balls, festivals...
But why has he spoken like he's already went?]
You...you think it was me? I...
[She meets his eyes quite easily, watching them as they glisten with hope; and then she glances over to the shoe in question.
'I can try,' is what her expression seems to say, though no words escape her lips after that.]
All the shenanigans~

She's become fixated on a certain tune for instance; a tune which she doesn't even entirely recognize at first, though she becomes increasingly familiar with it as time goes on.
The more she hums it, the more distant everything feels...her life in the Survival Game, her life here...
She snaps out of it slightly, hearing the man call out to her, and she stops. She's holding a pipe in her hand, actually, smoking it carelessly, and she looks a bit surprised as she pulls it out of her mouth.]
...Lloyd?
no subject
Wait. Could she be the one?! His breath catches in his throat at the possibility. He quickly closes the distance, hope in his eyes.]
Is it you? Is it... Are you the one I met?
no subject
With a shake of her head, she tries to clear her head and eliminate these lingering feelings distracting her, in order to answer him properly.
A single catchy tune.
A thirst, a desire for revenge that she'd never felt so strongly before...
No. No, she can't. She must remember where she is, there's nothing to be done about any of that here. Here, in Vatheon...
Her fists tighten slightly.]
Met...where, exactly? I- I'm not—
[—entirely sure.]
no subject
At the ball. You were at it, weren't you?
[Where else would he have seen her?
Please say yes, Tsubaki. He wants so desperately to find his lost love.]

+1 Cinderella (also I'm kinda late I guess xD; )
He stopped in his tracks. What exactly was this curse again? He shook his head, then let a sigh. There wasn't much use thinking about it. He had some work to do.
...Funny, he would had sworn that just a few days ago he wouldn't go out in a dress like this. It still made him wonder just why he was wearing it, but for some odd reason it didn't really bother him that much.
What snapped him out of his thoughts was a familiar voice.
"...Lloyd?"
Ruca blinked. He knew the person, but again he couldn't exactly remember when or where they met. It was strange.
Never too late for this~
And "she" knew him. His heart jumped when he heard his name. Had he told his love his name? He couldn't remember. She seemed familiar, but he couldn't pin down a specific memory of her. Could she be the one his heart knew without eyes?
"My lady." He bowed again, then searched her face with hope. "Yes, I am Lloyd Irving, a Knight of this realm. Please, could you tell me, were you at the ball?"
Great~ haha
A ball? Was he at a ball? He was pretty sure he had never been to one. Or maybe he has? It felt as if he couldn't trust his memory anymore. This only made his headache worse.
But setting the problem of ball aside, Ruca had one more problem.
"... I-I'm not..." he blushed and his gaze dropped to the ground. "...I'm not a girl."
...His face turned even redder after he said that. Could someone remind him why he was actually wearing this dress?
no subject
For a moment, Lloyd stared, temporarily sidetracked, his mind having a hard time wrapping itself around that fact. She... wasn't a girl?
"But you're wearing a dress."
Of course, it didn't help that it wasn't just the dress. Ruca looked a bit feminine, too.

+1 troublemaking sphinx?
Well, Duke's blinking at that little shoe, sitting firmly in the way of the teen like a stubborn cat. ]
If you answer a question.
no subject
What kind of question?
[Almost reflexively, his eyes dart to Duke's feet. This couldn't be his love... could it?
No, he's pretty sure he'd remember if his love was a lion with wings.]
no subject
Or you can take another path.
