There is a clearing not too into the forest that has obviously gotten some abuse in the past. It sits on the bottom of a hill and much of the vegetation has been burned away; the hill itself looks as if it has been gouged on occasion by something very large.

Right now, it may be obvious what the cause may have been: a large white dragon sits on the edge, though at the moment she seems contented to lounge on her belly, eyes half-closed. Nothing nearly so traumatic as destroying part of the hill is going on right now; instead she is watching over her trainer with a much smaller beast.

N has a sword in hand, though the scabbard is still on it, and he is all but dancing around, blocking as his Zorua lunges at him, swiping at him again and again.

It is all very serious until the fox Pokemon apparently has had enough. The Zorua jumps up and grabs ahold of the scabbard, pulling down on it with a playful growl.

"H-hey! This is not tug of war!" N protests, but he ends up laughing as he tries to wrest the sword away from him.

[Cheren spares a glance over at the victorious Zorua before returning his attention to N. Sure, his question wasn't exactly answered, but Cheren wasn't sure if he actually wanted an answer or just to get N's attention. Probably both, actually, since wrestling with swords just seems like a bad idea to him, but that was beside the point.]

Yeah. So are you going to answer, or what?

Oh, we were training, and Krishna decided he just wanted to play --

[ Oh, hey! He ducks down to grab the sword before the Zorua can get a hold of it again. Then he is back to looking at Cheren. ]

Cheren, do you remember Vatheon? And me?

[Well that would explain it. Better that than setting out to wrestle like that, anyway.]

I'm pretty sure I would have remembered you either way, but yes. I don't know how long it's been, but I remember most of my previous stay here in Vatheon.

It's been quite a while!

[ Since you remember -- have a hug, Cheren. Deal. ]

[Hugs--are not something Cheren does. He's used to them, certainly, but that doesn't mean he's used to getting spontaneous hugs. (Even though by all means he should be, what with Bianca being his friend). He freezes up as N wraps his arms around him, awkwardly reaching around to pat N on the back.]

I figured as much. Is anyone else I'd know still here?

[ At least N soon lets him go. His expression clouds a little as he thinks. ]

...well... Gold is still here! And Silver... And Cynthia. I'm...not sure about anyone else.

[well, that's more than he thought. It's kind of weird that some of the people he knew were still here and had been here this long, but it was also kind of comforting in a way. Familiar faces, and all.]

So Hilbert went home, then?

Oh! No! He's still here.

[ N smiled to think of it. ]

Well that's good, at least. [forgive him a second, N. He needs to glance over to Zorua again, just because it's cute he wants to make sure it's not getting into trouble. Nevermind it's not his Pokemon, but you know.]

So what's happened here since I've left? The last thing I remember is that giant Octillery-like creature attacking the bubble.

[ The Zorua is having quite the time inspecting Cheren's shoes. Smells everywhere! ]

The Kraken! Oh yeah; someone caused it fall asleep. Oh, we can get to the island now, did you know that? There's an elevator that goes up!

[They probably smell like salt water and wet still, since it hasn't been long since Cheren arrived. You should smell nicer things, Zorua.]

So it won't be a bother anymore, then? And no, I didn't know that. When did this happen?

Oh, no, it hasn't bothered us for a while now! You should go see the island! It's been up there maybe a month now -- I mean, that we could get to it.

[ But that's interesting! ]

Is there anything on the island? [because if there is, it might be a nice way to get away from this whole underwater thing. Being underwater is kind of (unsure) all the time.]
