[Akihiko is having way more trouble than he should be in trying to put this tablecloth on a table he's brought out. Either the table is too big or the tablecloth mysteriously became too short - but he's trying regardless to find a way to make it fit.

ARRIVAL

[Welcome to the dorm, watch out for an array of animals that may or may not be at the door waiting to see who's out there.]

[Mitsuru's placed herself on door duty tonight, ready to welcome everyone to the dormitory for the party. She has a clipboard and a list of people who were invited on it.]

[Akihiko peers at that list she's got.]

[Okay, he raised a brow at the array of animals guarding the front door, but he decided to move along since Naoya was being cool and invited him.

[ If it were anyone else, Naoya would have been looking awkward, standing on the edge of the room as he was.

But boy is a protag. He owns standing alone on the edge of rooms. You never knew being a wallflower could be quite this cool. ]

[Naoya picked a good place to stand - he's right near one of the tables that so happens to have fun little snacks and hors d'oeuvres upon it. Akihiko steps over to grab a few, catching sight of Naoya and gesturing for him to come closer.]

Hey, Toudou. Come try some of this.

[There's a lot of weird French things here that may or may not be bacon-wrapped.]

Um ... Toudou-san, right? Merry Christmas.

CAKE

[Originally, Akihiko'd planned to only pick up one or two cakes for the dorm... But considering how many people were here, that wasn't going to do. That morning, he'd gone out to several bakeries in order to provide a few different types of cake for the hungry guests - including one extra for a certain cake-seeking wolf.

He brings them out from the kitchen, setting them down on a table. Holding up a plate, he calls out to the party-]

Hey, who wants cake?

[Oh sweet cake. He is so there. Plus a plate. Peeeeering at them now.]

What types did you get, senpai?

All five are different. The two logs are the obvious ones - one's white cake with white icing, the other's some kind of mocha-chocolate-lemon... But I'm not sure about the others.

[He looks over the array of cakes, handing a plate to Minato.]

I know one's a shortcake, one's chocolate and one's a fruitcake.

[ Kanji's eyes widen and he is there in like, five seconds. He's a bit of a glutton, so sorry -- ]

Oh man, this is gonna be gooood! Five cakes on one table; nothing is wrong with this life!

[ He rubs his hands together. ] SHIT, is that shortcake?!

It sure is.

[And its an excellent shortcake at that.]

[Yukari's just making sure she's got all her ducks lined in a row, so to speak. Her Christmas shopping was a bit more rushed than most years, but she doesn't think she's forgotten anybody, and she's actually a little excited for this little event. She adds her gifts to the pile under the tree, counting them and making sure everything she came down the stairs with is all there.

She smiles, seeming satisfied -- and then looks up to admire the star on top of the tree instead.

[Akihiko's not much on presents but he's got a few little things for his dorm-mates... And maybe even something for Naoya too.]
