[Ken is pushing a couple of boxes - some bigger, some smaller - and finally manages to get them into the room. They're clumsily wrapped, but he tried. ;;]

[Akihiko takes notice of Ken trying to move all those boxes and steps over to him.]

Need some help there, Ken?

Sure. You can start by taking your present.

[He grins a little, and nudges one of the slightly larger boxes towards Akihiko.]

Heh - sure thing... Just give me a second.

[Akihiko moves over to the three again and picks up a gift that looks suspiciously like a book. In fact, it probably is a book. He returns to Ken's side and offers it to him before taking the box Ken had initially nudged his way.]

I wasn't too sure what to get you but I figured you wanted something more mature than toys or comic books...

Yeah. I appreciate it.

[... And then he allows himself a little bit of childish excitement.]

[Not about to disappoint, Akihiko early pulls the wrapping paper off the box and lets out a laugh when he sees what's inside.]

Just what I've been looking for! [He holds the box, smiling as he reads the text across the front, turning it over and get more information on the specs - when it comes to training, Akihiko's pretty intense and judging by the smile that just seems to keep widening across his face, Ken's choice of present was a good one.]

This is great - I can't wait to set it up. [And judging by the eager glint in his eyes, he wants to right now.]

I thought you'd like it. It's not one of the professional bags, but I couldn't find one of those.

[He pulls off the wrapping of his own present and stares for a minute.]

Ah... wow. I didn't even know they made books like this...

I thought it'd be something you'd enjoy - I know you use a spear but it shows all kind of techniques with the bo staff, I figured you could incorporate that into your training.

[Everything is always about training with Akihiko.]

We need to keep on top of our game if we're going to protect everyone here too, right?

That's true. I've been trying to keep up with my training, but summoning Kala-Nemi is a lot harder here and sometimes it's hard to find someone to spar against.

Maybe I'll have to give that book a read then. [Surely training with a bo staff could help with his boxing, right? It would be good exercise at least...]

That is, if you wouldn't mind training with a beginner. Think you could show me the ropes?

[Yukari makes no comment on the wrapping. She just watches him for a moment, silently—about to offer her help when Akihiko offers it instead. She'll giggle a bit instead then, folding her arms.]

[He holds out a box to Yukari.]
