[Yukari's just making sure she's got all her ducks lined in a row, so to speak. Her Christmas shopping was a bit more rushed than most years, but she doesn't think she's forgotten anybody, and she's actually a little excited for this little event. She adds her gifts to the pile under the tree, counting them and making sure everything she came down the stairs with is all there.

She smiles, seeming satisfied -- and then looks up to admire the star on top of the tree instead.

Come bother her and find out what she got you? \o/]

[Akihiko approaches her, taking a moment to look up at the tree as well.]

Heh... The decorations really came together nicely. I could get used to Christmases like this one.

[You know - relaxed, surrounded by friends, no impending doom lingering overhead...]

[She turns to Akihiko upon hearing his voice, and laughs a little -- nodding to agree.]

Tell me about it. I could, too.

[And then she'll start shuffling a couple presents around, looking.]

Oh--and as long as you're here, I've got something for you, too, senpai.

Yeah? [He blinks. He's a bit surprised that she got him something - but then again, he did pick her up a little courtesy gift as well. Perhaps it's not so odd.]

I've got something for you too. It's nothing special so don't get too excited. It should be under here...

[He crouches down next to her and soon locates a small box in red and white paper, Yukari's name written on the small tag.]

Here it is.

[Annnddd--surprise, surprise, it's the last box she looked at.]

Oh--and here's yours.

[His name is written on the tag on hers, the handwriting distinctive. She gives it to him, taking her own box in return upon seeing her name on it, and...well, she's a little surprised as well.]

Thanks. I-It's fine! I mean...you didn't have to get me anything at all.

[The excitement in her voice betrays her though. Akihiko had told her not to be, but how could she resist? She starts to rip the wrapping open a little, hoping he didn't mind it.

He's of course, free to open his own as well.]

Like I said, don't get too excited. I just saw it when I was getting Mitsuru's gift and thought it might be something you'd like.

[Shoosh, senpai, she can be excited if she wants to. :c She's hoping that he will like his gift too, because they were the last pair of Jack's Gloves they had in the store at the Nostalgia Nook. She thought of him when she saw it -- heh -- and she would've had to make them herself, if they were sold by the time she went to buy them. They wouldn't have turned out nearly as nice, so...really, she's kind of relieved about it.]

...Oh! A watch? [She finishes opening his present at least, and she's smiling already. A good sign, for sure.] I-It's beautiful! Thank you...

[She pulls up her sleeve to look at her wrist, bare as can be, and looks at the watch fondly. Welp, she knows what's going there now--

But she looks up briefly to see if Akihiko's finished opening hers yet.]

[The laugh that he lets out should be more than enough indication that he's opened his gift - and with the wrapping paper barely off of the box, he's already pulling out the Jack Gloves and putting them on. He punches their little heads together a bit and gives a small one-two punch to the air, grinning wide the whole time.]

Where did you even find these, Yukari?

[Oh, good! Laughter!

Laughter's definitely a good thing, and she looks up from her brand-spankin' new watch for a second to laugh a bit with him; watching as he throws those punches in the air.]

There's this place called the Nostalgia Nook that sells some stuff from home. Everyone's home, actually — you just have to know where to look.

[The right store and all. Haha, man, she's smiling now. She's glad you like your gift, senpai.]

I hope they fit all right.

[The Nostalgia Nook... He'll keep that name in mind.

He goes back to looking down at his gloves, unable to stop grinning at them.] They fit perfectly - they're just right. [He lifts his head, breaking his gaze from his new gloves and gesturing a bit towards her watch.]

Is your watch alright?

Thank goodness.

[Phew! It's great to see him grinning like that and playing with them. It's rare she got to see him this excited or happy about something—

Heh. But then she turns her attention to the watch, remembering it upon his mention.]

Oh, right—let's find out now!

[Yukari quickly finishes opening the package with the watch inside, and she pulls it out to wrap it around her wrist where it belongs.

Seems like a perfect fit here, too! She will just shake and twist her wrist a bit to make sure, but as far as she can tell, it's very comfortable.]

[angelicvoice]

*When Fuuka catches sight of Yukari, she approaches her happily. Gently tapping her friend on the shoulder, she holds up a colorfully wrapped present.*

I was looking for Yukari-chan. Merry Christmas!

[tsundyne]

--Oh! Fuuka!

[The tap on her shoulder scared her for a sec there, but she eases, taking the present with a smile. She's examining how colorful the wrapping is; it'll be a shame to tear it up, but she can worry about that in a little bit.]

Gosh, you're too sweet. I only put yours under the tree just a second ago. Here, let me find it and we can open ours together--okay?

[angelicvoice]

Huh? *She stutters. Sweet? Where did that come from? Fuuka blinks few times before smiling sheepishly.*

I-It's nothing, really ... And sure. It would be more fun that way, right?

[Oh, psh, Fuuka. Don't be modest. c:

Yukari puts her present to the side for a moment, while she looks under the tree for the batch of presents in her wrapping. She finds them easily enough, and quickly locates the tag marked with Fuuka's name, and pulls out the package carefully.]

Here we go. Merry Christmas! [Handing it to her now, rather proudly.] I hope you like it...

[angelicvoice]

*Fuuka takes the gift gratefully.*

Thanks Yukari-chan, and I know I will. In fact, lets open them together?

*Of course Yukari's present contains the hat she took some time to pick out. Pink was Yukari's favorite color, she just hopes she likes hats.*

[Yukari is excited for this, admittedly. And as for Fuuka's gift, Yukari found a cute little panda-shaped non-stick frying pan, and couldn't help but pick it up for her. She is thinking about it, hoping that she'll be able to put it to good use as she practices—until she finally pulls the wool hat out of her own package with a grin.

The wide smile on her face should be enough indication of how much she likes it.]

Oh, Fuuka, I love it!

[In fact, she's just gonna put it on now, to feel just how warm it is.]

It's so warm; and it fits great, too. [chuckle] How's it look on me?

[angelicvoice]

Better than I imagined! *She giggles. Yukari seemed to really like her present. What a relief!*

Hmm - lets see what mine could be ~

*Fuuka works on the wrapping paper and the box before fishing out the cute flying pan. She never saw a cooking utensil that looked this adorable ...!*

Gosh, Yukari-chan ... Thank you! *Fuuka smiles happily at her friend.*

Like she says, it's pretty darn comfortable, so she sees no problem with this, and watches excitedly when Fuuka starts opening her present. There's some nervousness mixed in too, honestly, but that's normal, and she brushes it off, waiting for the moment of truth.

The way her face lights up already makes her feel better!]

Isn't it cute? I'm so glad you like it...I hope you get to try it out soon. I wanna be there, y'know.

I'm happy to hear you say that, but you don't have to ... But it does look good on you. Must be because you look good in pretty much anything Yukari-chan.

As for me - *She holds the pan close.* I-I got a beginner's cookbook from Akihiko-senpai so I'll try to practice more. When I get better, I'll use this pan to cook you something good.

[D'awww. It really warms her heart to see her hold the pan so close. And to be complimented like that, but that's totally beside the point.

She does blush a little, though, giggling.]

[ Kanji walks right on over to Yukari, obviously trying to be discreet as he hides her gift behind him. He coughs to get her attention, a slight blush on his cheeks.

He's still not used to giving gifts for girls, no matter who they were. But she was pretty cool, so Kanji got over that initial shyness fast enough. He smiles. ]

Hey, Yukari-senpai! I uhh, made a little somethin' for you. 'Cuz i-it's Christmas, and stuff.

[ He pauses momentarily, then reveals his present. Surprisingly - or not? - his gift is a medium sized box wrapped very neatly with light pink paper. On one corner was a bright red ribbon, in the same shade of her usual school tie. ]

[Aaaahhhh he was able to come after all ;w; Thank goodness. She's happy to see him, and she takes the present with a smile, unsurprised by the pink wrapping at this point. She's smiling at it, even, though his blushing is making her a little flustered too—jeez.]

[ Kanji gulps and smiles a bit. He points to himself as he watches Yukari rummage under the tree. ] Y-You serious? Me? I-I get a present from --

[ Ain't helping that blush, nope. Not one bit. ] Heh. Thanks! T-That's real nice of ya. And pssh, whaddya mean it'll be "tough to beat?" My gift isn't anything special or fancy, like that kind of shit you find in the city.

[ He smirks slightly. ] Bet I could give the merchandise there a run for their money, though. Hehe!

Here it is! [FINALLY she finds the box with his name on it, so--pulling it out carefully, she hands it to him with a smile. She's gonna pick her own present back up, too!]

[Laughing a little, she shakes the box, excitedly trying to discern what's inside before opening it. Maybe they could even do it at the same time! When thinks on the present that she just gave to Kanji, though, she can't help but feel a little nervous.]

M-My present really isn't anything special or fancy, either, but...I thought you might be able to put it to good use.
