Dashing through the snow

Fai had already gone up ahead and made all the necessary preparations. A battlefield had been marked out in an open area. Out of bounds areas were set up that housed the tents for making snow cones, as well as bleachers that could be considered safe from the war that was about to take place.

With the help of Nepeta, piles of snowballs and snow forts were already prepared for the days festivities. And in case anyone got too chilled, a tent with a heater was set up to take away some of the edge of those icy temperatures.

There was a light snow that continued to fall even though the sun was out, helping to take a little bit of the bitter coldness away. It was the perfect weather to have a snow ball fight! All that it needed was the participants and the spectators.



On a board by the field, the teams are posted for all to see. Armbands of blue and red are displayed and ready for the team members to take and put on.

[Fai pumped his fist into the air energetically but then a thought his him.]

Ahh..maybe we should have had some sort of strategy meeting. oh well~ Everyone just do your best!

[Fai tosses a snowball straight up into the air and catches it again.]

[ Sora was probably in some of the most inappropriate clothing for the cold weather. He was in his normal clothes which meant shorts and a short sleeved jacket. Not the smartest but he wasn't really feeling the cold anyway. ]

[Perhaps you are walking around, perhaps, yes, and perhaps while walking around you get hailed by snowballs from above. If you look fast enough you might see Summoner for a moment before he shoots off to hide over a canopy of trees and out of the way of any returning shots.]

[Equius is pretty sure Summoner is fast enough to avoid any of his snowballs, but still, he doesn't try to throw them hard, nor pack the snow very well. Bruising is acceptable; breaking is not. So enjoy an enormous snowball getting lobbed at you, Summoner!]

[A small snowball goes sailing right towards the back of Summoner's head. But Darkleer isn't responsible for it. That would be the small robot by his side. Adjusting his coat, he sighs.]

Just this once, couldn't you at least wear some proper clothing? At least a hat?

[So, meeting up, right? And... Huh those sure are a bunch of small robots rolling over the snow at his feet. He adjusts the long coat that he has on him, particularly the luscious (faux) fur that's around the collar.]

I brought help. Mostly for myself.

[One of the robots begins to gather up snow to make a snowball.]

I'm afraid of the consequences if I throw myself.

[What is this? While Darkleer's back is turned, there's someone trying to sneak up behind him so he can lob a snowball at the one person in Vatheon for whom he won't have to hold back. Equius is also using some very primitive, untrained Void techniques to make himself better hidden.]

POST-WAR

Did your team win or lose? Was anyone really keeping score? Who cares! It's over! Go have some fun, make snow angels, be harassed by someone who really beat you in the war.

[ Sora's grinning like an idiot from the amount of fun he just had. His body is nice and warm from all the excercise he got so he's not really paying attention to the bite of cold in the air. He's wearing his normal outfit of shorts and short sleeved jacket over a tank -- Not really the smartest attire to be out in the snow but Sora feels fine. ]

[Well, Cain must admit it. He had fun too. During the battle he had ended up taking off his jacket and loosening his tie. He sits right next to Sora and offers him something to drink.]

Well, that was well done.

POST-WAR blankets and cocoa.

[Kanaya is set and ready at the bleachers to welcome the brave warriors back from the battle, having brought a few thermoses full of cocoa and tea, as well as a dozen or so blankets. She may have a few signs cheering on the red team, but that doesn't mean the blue team can't come get warmed up too!]

[He had only been there to watch but little Fai can't help but approach someone who looks as interesting as Kanaya. The boy is the spitting image of the organizer for today's events, age and the elder's altered eye color excluded, and he's bundled up in a cloak from his home world.]
