So he dutifully hung up a stocking (a long, pin-striped one), although he's still not quite sure why, and made out with his matesprit under some mistletoe, and found some gifts for his friends. Then he curled up in bed like normal and went to sleep.]

[Which he still would be--asleep, that is--were it not for the sudden introduction of a heavy, feathery butt on his head and loud, excited kwehing in his ear. It seems the chocobos are awake and worked up about something.]

Carefully, with a hand that only shakes a little bit, he reaches out and lightly, gently, brushes the sides of his fingers across Gamzee's face. He really wants to wrap his arms around him and never let go, but this poor substitute will have to do.]
