Where: Anywhere in the city! He's had a day to come down from the high recuperate from his surgery, and is out exploring and meeting new people.

[Sollux is taking his first few steps alone out on the town, to explore his new home. He arrived blind, but now has two blue robotic eyes - something he needs to have a word with Equius about - and is enjoying a bit of independence after a while of being stuck in bed unable to do anything without assistance.]

[The first thing he does is explore his own building. He knocks on the door beside Aradia's hive, but no one is home, and then rambles up to the roof. He's spent lots of good days on the roof of his own hivestem back home - fighting with his lusus wasn't the only thing he did up there - and he is curious whether Larmline has a good roof for hanging around on.

Up there he finds something unexpected - a bee hive. Curious, he moves closer, soothed by the familiar hum of the bees]

[ Just out of line of sight to the roof access door, the Psiioniic kneels by the hive. It's been opened up, the man delicately moving each comb frame to check the health of the hive. Though he spends some time up on the roof with his hive, this particularly detailed investigation happens every couple of weeks.

The bees themselves buzz contentedly around and land to crawl over the Psiioniic as he works, apparently completely at ease with the whole process.

He only takes note that he isn't alone when Sollux gets particularly close. ]

[Sollux sees his ancestor for the first time as he approaches the hive. He freezes when he's addressed and ducks his head slightly, looking down at the kneeling troll]

...Hey.

[Wow, great opener there. He hesitates, then adds unnecessarily,]

I have eyes again.

[ He looks up at the boy for a long moment, tilting his head faintly. ]

Tho you do. That ith an improvement.

[ He is so fantastic at these conversational gambits. Look at him go. ]

[As he heads out to explore, he opens his SFC and sends a text message to Eridan]

[And after a brief conversation, Eridan makes his way to the plaza. Sollux with robot eyes, huh? It's uncomfortably familiar, almost like he's picking up where they left off.]

[So when he spots Sollux, he's hesitant to approach him at first, but after some self reprimanding he makes his way over with an arrogant stride.]

Alright, I'm here... So...

[God he feels awkward, auuugh.]

[Sollux is examining the coral for the first time, thoughtful. He hears Eridan approaching and turns to look at him.]

Hey--

[His two blue eyes emit a laser blast straight at Eridan]

[Eridan hardly finds the time move when the lasers shoot at him, and through a mix of the blast and him attempting to get out of the way (which was a few seconds too late), he gets knocked on his ass. Though that's decidedly less problematic than the actual shock the beams gave him. Excuse him a moment as he tries to collect himself.]

[And once he does, he levels a glare to Sollux, his mouth pulling into a snarl.]

[ You may have your eyes back, Sollux, but as you're heading down the street, can you sense that there's something following behind you?? ]

[Hmm, it seems that there might be a fierce hunting fish on his trail. He casually walks around a corner as he turns down another street, then stops and leans against the wall, just out of sight]

[ It doesn't help her stalking that she is humming something suspiciously like the theme from the Earth movie Jaws as she gets closer... ]

[Gosh, she is so stealthy, he can't believe it.

As she gets closer to the corner, he suddenly leaps out, claws out and teeth bared]

Grah!!

[...Let it be known that he made sure no one was around before he did something this nerdy]

[And he's flying, and flying, and, oh, Psi-er-uh-no, wait who... OH. Sollux? Summoner stops mid air, looking down with a hand moving to his chin. He watches the smaller troll for a while, remembering that, oh wait, yeah, wasn't he blind? But he seemed to be getting around rather well.]

[A pause, and then, welp, a shrug. Why not?]

[Summoner lets out a thoughtful hum and gets lower to the ground, hovering about ten feet from the ground behind Sollux before speaking.]

Oi! Sollux, that you, kid?

[The whirr of wings causes Sollux to pause and look around just as the Summoner addresses him. And he stops dead and

Yup, that is definitely Tavros' ancestor. Who could have predicted that that lameass flarper had the potential to turn into THIS.]

Holy fucking shitballs. You're him.

Heh. [A smirk, sly, with low eyelids and high raised brows. Summoner soon snaps his wings shut, curling them behind him and lands swiftly on both feet near Sollux.]

And you and I have a date! But you gotta let me in on something first. [Points out and up with both hands, then at Sollux.]

[And there's a yellow flush creeping across Sollux' cheeks. He was just so startled. I mean, that rack is huge, and never mind the wings. And now he sort of gets the flirting]

Uh, Equius made them for me.

[Oh look, more people in the sky, only this one's less orange and more red. Shoot, she isn't even going to hesitate being stealthy or anything, she just floats riiiight up beside him.]

There you are! I was looking all over for you.

Oh hey. [He smiles up at her and reaches for her hand] I wanted to explore.

You should have said something, I would have come with you! [She closes in on him, taking one hand into her own and placing the other on his cheek, juuust to give him a quick kiss.

Gosh this is all still so new and exciting for her.]

[He's walking around on his own! This must mean that Equius had gotten around to installing his new eyes. Nepeta slips her sketchpad into one oversize trenchcoat pocket and goes running in his direction.]

[At the yelling, Sollux turns and pauses, waving his hand to Nepeta]

Hi!

How are you?? You got your eyes! This is awesome! Are they working okay?

[She waves energetically back at him and manages to just stop short of careening right into him, remembering just in time that he's one of her less touchy-feely friends and hugs make him feel awkward.]

[The weather's been nasty again all week, so Kanaya has been spending most of her time in the bubble. She misses the sun, but at least she can socialize a bit more down here. On that note, she happens to run into someone she hasn't seen in quite a while! When did he get here, nobody else told me he was around...]

[Sollux turns at the call and smiles faintly to see Kanaya, trotting over to her. Last time he encountered her she was a help, though she also bit him. He searches her face for that telltale glow.]

[She still feel a little guilty about biting him and Terezi... though she didn't have too much control over the events at the time. She is looking for the wounds on his neck, but mostly as a way of guessing what time point he was plucked from.]
